Very glad AC6 took a deserved W in the Game Awards for best action game. Personally I thought it could've been a GotY contender, but I knew it was too niche to get nominated with the other high rollers contrary to a big influx of new enjoyers. BG3 deserved the dub though.
Not only that but it had stonking good sales, currently it looks like it's on track to outsell all of the other previous AC games combined. Fromsoft have done for AC series what Monster Hunter World did for the MH series, it's a breakthrough game that has massively boosted a series that was relatively unknown/small following in the West and propelled it into the mainstream.
"Why are so many Japanese games with terrible netcode?" Because the Tokyo area has internet so good, in such a small space, that it's basically a giant LAN party and there's super low latency for everyone. So JP devs don't even consider making lag compensation in their code...
I’d love to see a higher difficulty mode. The game is tough as is, but it could bring back features like Debt, and maybe nerf some cheese strategies in that mode. Really challenge and test people’s skill.
While I agree the netcode for sure needs work, I can almost understand why they didn't work on it much for AC6. Armored Core has NEVER sold very well outside Japan, and while I have no doubt that it would have changed anything, they may have not opted to improve it simply cause "it's another AC game, it'll still not be very popular outside of here, so why bother?" That said, Ranked is fun but yeah they gotta fix some shit. I'm hoping with larger data samples due to the easier matchmaking, they'll be more aggressive in their updates in regards to parts balance.
I'd love to see a video just showing off your ACs (if there isn't one already). Also I love Overdraft, reminds me of a biped AC I built named Gesture. Fully focused on close assault, haven't won a single match with it xD

The reason that net code in Japanese games is because Japanese devs develop for japan. Final fantasy 14 has the same issue and they are only now starting to realize one server hub is not enough.
I watched Oroboro's video and I think dual heavy laser cannon isn't going to be around for long without a nerf. Firing both of them charged is an instant kill, and even if they're uncharged it's an instant stagger more likely than not.
@@JeffHikari Pretty much, even as someone who exclusively run shoulder laser build in pvp (yup, evil, I know), the hitbox radius is simply too ridiculous for the kinda latency we current have (and it's still also the same issue for bazooka even after the nerf). I've encountered quite a few people who could consistently dodge any laser I throw at them, but that doesn't change the fact that it's too high a wall to climb for how effortless the lasers are to use.
Nah, current meta is the new lammy legs or coral flight cheese with quad missile spam. I ran quad dakka and you can't even get close enough to get enough hits in when they fly like that.
