Like Bricky I thought I could just dash through the 360 spread, just to get imploded by all the rockets turning 180° and pincushioning me. When discussing the nerfs I think everyone is forgetting about the OST Chip upgrades, which add up to making your AC incredibly strong. Without resetting your file, creating a new file, or resetting OST upgrades, you’re not actually able to test the challenge of early bosses as if it’s your first time. You are literally stronger than when you first fought something like Balteus. Not downplaying the nerfs (which are still dubious besides vague tracking and behavioral changes) but more so pointing out that the flat stat buffs under OST tuning might be actively hurting the game since they make a game with otherwise great balance a little too easy after a certain point, especially upon replaying levels.

Not mentioned in the title, "Bricky's first pilebunker nut"
Is it bad that I held off watching this until I had some food ready so I could then commence the BIG entertainment session
15:00 The show begins here.
Why did so many people not think to go back and get the pulse gun for this fight? It’s expressly called out as a gun for breaking pulse armor.
The pulse blade is also really good against his shield, if you look into the details, it has a really high pulse armor modifier
It feel like fighting a German Shepard got mauled and then you go for the rematch the dog turn into Chihuahua
I am proud to be one of those who are able to claim I beat Balteus before the nerfs.
Same. It was the Balteus fight that taught me that kicking was not a meme, but an important part of fights.
I got both Balteus and IBIS before the nerfs, man I feel like a god for defeating them like that!
Same here 👍
NG++ pre nerf completer myself.
@Darkwings01 same here
He was hard, but I didn't get stuck on him like most people. Which is balanced out by getting stuck on Sea Spider for 2 hours
Bricky discover the power of BIG Metal stick
NG+ Balty needs to be unreasonably buffed
I have a physical need for the pilebunker.
Did you know, that that's an autonomous craft called balteus
Those cloaked MFs are more annoying than a bunch of big ass tetrapods with sniper cannon or 6 bazookas.
I can't wait to see him face the Ibis Weapon
I am so glad that I chose to get into Dark Souls. Ever since then, I have found a deep appreciation for From Soft's boss designs. They are hard, and make you think and even piss you off, but when you finally defeat them the rush you get feels so rewarding.
Glad to have experienced Balteus pre nerf, because i can be proud to say I was not filtered.
You want people to pirate the game then. That's what I'm getting from all of these "pre-nerf" comments.
I'm sad I wasn't able to beat Balteus before nerf, I only just started playing.
It's not nearly as significant a change as people make it out to be, don't worry.
It’s really not a major nerf, people just have no frame of reference for his difficulty anymore bc they beat him seventy times already
14:42 Balteus Boss fight.
God these can't come out often enough
No joke, I beat Balteus with a heavy biped with double VMLs, a burst rifle, and a grenade cannon with Pulse Armor. It felt amazing finally beating him after he clapped my cheeks for HOURS.
Space AK and Space Spaz-12 go brrrrrr
When i beat this guy i yelled out just like you. Almost scared my wife to death😂
There’s not much of a difference pre or post nerf.
Also by the time you get to this boss you dont have alot of gear so its almost impossible to cheese on your first playthrough
Bricky hasn't learned the glorious art of dual shotgun to the face and when Bricky saw the pile bunker all I heard was SpongeBob's I don't need it I don't need it.... I NEED IT!!!!!!
As a fellow pre-nerf Balteus Experiencer, I'm looking forward to seeing this fight.
I want to know, do you advocate for people to pirate this game? You sound like you do.
@@weatherman1504 Nope, not at all. ACVI is excellent, well worth the price.
@@DragonaxFilms For PC players especially, pirating the game is the only way to beat pre-nerf bosses. This also goes for Elden Ring and Radahn.
@@weatherman1504 Ah, gotcha. If you want to fight pre-nerf Balty in all his day-1 glory then I wouldn't be against cracking the game, but I'd only do it after buying the game legitimately.
Although idk how tough he'd really be, most people struggled at launch because they didn't understand the game mechanics or builds yet, at this point existing game knowledge would probably make him easy, even un-nerfed.
@@DragonaxFilms I have already done this. I haven't bought the game yet, and I'm not going to buy it until I beat every single pre-nerf boss in the cracked version. I might even upload videos. It's the only way I'll ever be able to make people shut up. Stuff like this is why I hate the From fandom.
I thought Balteus was the worst thing that could happen to me in this game, then Ibis showed up...
I beat Balteus on my first try earlier today during my first playthrough, so maybe the Nerf is as bad as people say
Oh, so I wasn't the only one who had a problem with Maeterlinck?
This was the moment in the game I realized how bad ass this game really is.
I had more issues fighting the spider then balteus xD
I beat pre-nerf Balteus...
I raged for nearly 2 hours but finally found the right combo.
Would you advocate for pirating this game then?
Bricky be like: "the electrical weapon skrews up my lock on"
My brother in christ, you manually turned the lock on off!
True, but to be fair, the lock on is never really explained right. If you touch the right stick, it turns off, or at least you will lose lock. I went into it thinking even the hard lock would be maybe a 180 degrees sort of thing, and I'd have to manually re-aim if a target got behind me, but no! You just take your thumb completely off the stick, and it works.
For the best. Manual lock reduces accuracy anyway.
@@DeanVarneybalteus is a big target so accuracy didn't matter here. What matters here was that Bricky kept getting decked because he couldn't keep balteus on screen to see incoming attacks
@@DeanVarney For guns, yes, by a small amount, but melee can struggle to track a target while manual aiming. And his pulse blade was his best weapon in that fight.
@@spamhere1123 it legitimately took me until Ibis weapon to understand the lock on. Granted I was used to the older ACs soft lock on so it wasn't that bad, but Ibis was malenia 2.0 so yeah I struggled
After Watching this I am simultaneously glad and sad that I only decided to Pirate the game after Balteus was nerfed (i ended up with v.1.04)
Also, don't worry I have actually bought the game now. Total playtime 33.3 Hours on Steam, completed all three endings and working on S-Ranks
I beat him pre nerf and what did it for me was the Laser blade and boost kick.
Do you also want people to pirate this game?
Fighting pre-patch balteus for the first time do be like that
You sound like you want people to pirate the game.
I beat this boss pre nerf. Let me tell yall....it took me 2days and about 12 tries. I learned the hard way you have to switch up your gear and get good. This my first AC game. When all else fails just go pure offense and stay close to the boss. Thats how i beat him. I stayed close to him at all times and i just let him have it. By the time i was done i was almost out of ammo completely😂
Do you want people to pirate AC6 then? You and the others sound like you do.
Damnit, at this rate it feels like I need to speedrun FromSoftware games just to beat the hard bosses before they get nerfed; first Radahn, now anything past Balteus gets nerfed before I fight them, damnit.
So, you want people to pirate both AC6 and Elden Ring then? It sounds like you do.
I managed to beat Balteus pre nerf. But man I couldnt do the Ibis fight before that.
Do you want people to pirate AC6?
I think I honestly died to balteus more than I died to melenia
FoR tHe AlGoRiThM
"I'm gonna go with the revolver."
As a gun enthusiast that statement ignited a rage so deep in my soul...
Why is that that nobody uses hard lock lol especially fighting single enemies.
The pile bunker is so good
