I'm chuffed with mine, it's more versatile than people let on but it's not without it's shortcomings. EQ isn't the most responsive and it's got waaay more mids than most amps, and yet I love it.
Great video! Having just bought what must have been one of the last 6505+’s in the UK(before this 1992 rebrand) in March, it is THE metal for me! But there is a small rebellious side of me would love to see it become irrelevant just so I can be against the grain! I know what you mean about the low end punch, my bassist severed a tendon in February making a cheese sandwich (typical) and I’m almost compensating for him at rehearsal!!!
I think it is still the best and it's still relevant of course :D The Harley Benton Vintage Overdrive is awesome! Will buy one :D I have a 6505MH It is crazy loud for 20 Watts We tested it Yesterday and the other amp was a blue guitar AMP 1 Yeah.. what should i say? The MH eats the AMP 1 for breakfast :D not in loudness but in tone and low end
Yeah the iridium is a touch better I think ,so many cheap overdrives are great I think,I’m suprised actually I’ve done a lot of amp demos that need uploading and although the 6505 is awesome I think the JSX and Jvm have the edge I also have the 6505+ Can’t wait to record them head to head
Love the way you can see the reflection in the jsx but should have moved the cable haha 😄 great video brother 👍
Haha yeah personally I don’t like those chrome bits but guys love the reflection thing it has going on
Cheers
Yeah I took mine off my bugera 333
Very Crunchy, heck yes still relevant IMHO!!!
👏👏👏👍

I sold my 5150 sig and regretted it. Picked up a 6505+ then traded it straight up for a 6505. I'm much happier
I think I prefer the plus but I need to hear them back to back ,once my studio is built I can do plenty of tests
I swear to God, at first my American ass thought you were saying the amp weighed 400 lbs.....lol
No that’s me 🤣
im not a big fan of that high mid sound, will it scoop easily or would you need a graphic EQ?
You can afford to take mids out due to it having such strong mids yeah I’ve had them down to 3.5 and it still cut live
🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think every metal player needs a 6505 MH (That’s the mini head). They’re killer in every sense
(I have an basically the same head )invective mh and I gotta agree with you it’s just flat out the best
Total agree 😁 i got mine 2 weeks ago
