Marvelous version! I think I might even like it better than the solo version-I can’t believe I wrote that, but a lot of the mysteries of this piece seem a little clearer in this version. Also, props to M Coq for nailing those octaves at the end-not easy to do that out of nowhere!
The UK Liszt Society has published the score, including all the alternative passages and versions. It is in a collected edition of all the piano trios. Volume 11: The Complete Music for Pianoforte, Violin and Violoncello [edited L. Howard] www.lisztsoc.org.uk/liszts-published-music#3
Fascinating to see how Trio Wanderer interprets the passage beginning at 9:45 compared with the pianist Erwin Nyiregyhazi in the piano solo version. ua-cam.com/video/dLk6vqaxU1Y/v-deo.htmlm27s It appears that Nyiregyhazi conceived the piece in a similarly expanded instrumental sense ...
Sarebbe una buona esecuzione se i musicisti sapessero qualcosa sulla personalità e sull'eloquenza lisztiana: purtroppo è evidente che stanno navigando in acque sconosciute, con risultati fuorvianti. Michele Campanella

Im here from your video, and I agree
I also like this version more than the piano solo. More mood and coloring... a total masterpiece.
Magnificent!
Une oeuvre splendide.
Gran interpretación.

This is music-making at its best.

Quels sont les musiciens?
Depuis quand Benjamin Biolay joue du violoncelle

Posso chiederti di più? Cosa non ti piace dell'esecuzione? Sono genuinamente curioso, non vuole assolutamente essere un attacco sia chiaro!
I still like the solo piano version better, performed by Misha Dichter or Cole Anderson.
My go to Claudio Arrau.
Liszt he has had only a few of themes.
What an unconsidered and ignorant remark.
No
Magnificent!
