This was a great tutorial on so many levels - I really enjoyed the technique of using an impressionist way of using the brushes. It really added a lot of life to the painting. The photo was not that interesting but you made it into a beautiful painting with all the variety of colours and marks. Thanks for a very enjoyable and inspring lesson.
Thank you so much for the lesson. I like how you try colors to see if they will work. That is fun to do if you are going to allow your paint to dry. You can change it then. But if you do not try then you will never know what adds a new sense of drama or edginess. I paint in acrylics because I am a beginner so I enjoy seeing if the paint that is left on my palette can be used somewhere else on the painting. Sometimes it works but sometimes it is just okay. But I am going outside of my comfort zone.
Love the colours. The drama of the shadows. The story of the foreground trees. Not so sure about the light flare. But in the end its the distance that grabs the attention despite trying to avoid it. Everything before the track vanishes feels like a prologue.
I came for the sunlight. Loved this. Thank you!
Thanks for watching 😀

Thanks. I really appreciate your feedback 😊
That is a beautiful painting. I really like the blues on the foreground of the bottom right of the canvas. it’s a shadow full of light.
Thanks 😊
Birds tweeting are a lovely background to watching you paint a beautiful scene thanks Robert

Thanks for another nice tutorial. I tried your twisting the brush technique the other day on some tree leaves, and it worked great. 👍
