Thank you for your excellent job of uploading the Number Pieces. I love this quiet, reflective piece with its little sounds immersed in silence. Anyone who have practiced meditation for some time will immediately feel at home in it. The piece makes me think of Taku Sugimoto's music, especially his very soft and subdued guitar quartet, which also starts to grow on you in the same way when you listen to it and just let the music happen.
For anyone out there who is interested: the title of this piece is pronounced "Two for the sixth time"; at least, that is how the composer himself used to pronounce it. Given the fact that I was the producer of this Ives Ensemble recording, I believe I am entitled to provide the following information: "Two" refers to the number of players, while the superscript "6" indicates that this is the "sixth" piece entitled "Two" that John Cage composed. If he had written another piece for two players (which by the way he didn't), it would have been called "Two7". The number at the end is supposed to be written as a superscript, something UA-cam does not allow.
Präzise Interpretation dieses scheinbar freiwilligen und wesentlich perfekt komponierten Meisterwerks im veränderlichen Tempo mit sorgfältig kontrolliertem Ton der Violine und klar artikuliertem Klang des Klaviers. Echt interessant!
