Ah, so essentially, liking the old series more than the new, you perceive yourself as more of a "proper", shall we say, fan of the show than me, yes? I assume that was the point?
Alex Song I liked that attitude about him. It's far more out of place for a man shortly after commiting genocide to be acting like a bloomin comedian. He was supposed to be the "sad", somewhat bitter doctor, which he managed admirably. Plus, the fury of a timelord scenes, oh these were just amazing.
Good episode, but something that bothers me (apart from how poor Mickey is treated which someone else already mentioned) is that they give no sympathy to the Doctor when they think the TARDIS died. I mean, that's *huge*. For him, that's bigger than anyone else in the world dying - the TARDIS is his oldest and only constant companion... And I mean I know none of us really knows what it would mean for him to lose her, but Rose at least should have some clue - she's looked into the heart of the TARDIS, she should be treating her like a living being, not calling her an "it". I don't like how inconsistent they are with that - the TARDIS is established as a sentient being several times, and then they always go back to treating her like just a time machine. :/
Nah, it just has a sentient AI. It's not an organism but it's conscious, so in a way it is alive. That's how I interpreted 'The Doctor's Wife' anyway, they're never 100% clear.

The doctor and Rose both had a very unhealthy and co-dependent relationship, so much that she began to resent the people in her life that had always been there - like Mickey or Jackie.
Not just to him, but to everyone else and each other. She suited 9 more. Donna suited 10 more because she didn't egg him on, didn't have a stupid crush and called him out.
They mention either in "Army of Ghosts" / "Doomsday" or in "The Stolen Earth" / "Journey's End" that Harriet Jones has been elected President in Pete's World after the death of the sitting President here.
2:44 Blue traffic lights? I was thinking more like a parallel world where pedestrians actually wait for the traffic lights to turn red before crossing instead of being too stupid enough to cross at green lights and risk getting themselves killed.

No, no, he's just overconfident. He always thinks he knows what he's doing, but half the time he doesn't. Fortunately for him, he's right often enough to save his own skin, most of the time.
Something I love about Doctor Who is that basically every episode is the end of the world or some other planet or the universe or whatever, and yet, I always get enthralled and genuinely feel like I don’t know how things will end. Like, I knew there were future episodes and that the Doctor and the TARDIS would be fine, but I always felt like there were still stakes. It’s honestly impressive to me how they managed to do that. Obviously that’ll vary from person to person, but in my experience, I think they did a good job of always leaving me on the edge of my seat and making me just the right amount of uncertain about how each episode would end. This is a really engaging show :)
Something irritates me about the Doctor at the beginning, it's not his usual "Let's talk about things that we did without realizing other people don't know what we're saying" instead here it felt more like: "Look Mickey watch me and Rose talk about things we did while excluding you from the conversation entirely and acting like it was on accident." But this was a great episode though nice concepts, except for the fact that cybermen saying "Delete" and that beginning thing.
That's what's so great about David's incarnation, his doctor could be a dick. It contributed to him being such a multi-dimensional character and always felt true to his nature. He was so real and raw unlike the woke nicey nicey identity politics doctor we have today or Capaldi's random personality changes and "quirks" each season with no consistency across his whole tenure. There's a reason the general public didn't warm to 12 or 13 and a huge part of that is down to how unbelievable and shallow their characterisation is.
He did sort of redeem himself a little bit, after the Tardis crashes. Mickey is on the other side, and the first thing the Doctor asks after checking on Rose is if Mickey is alright. He even asks about Mickey before checking on the Tardis, showing that he does care about him. He just needs to be pushed to an extreme situation to show it.
2:44 It's funny how they still mention Tony Blair in the doctor who universe, in the Canon he is killed in 2006 after a year skip took place in the Aliens of London. After this Harriet Jones takes over and wins by a "Landslide Majority" as quoted in The Christmas Invasion, implying there was a vote to call a general election after the events of Aliens of London took place. So Harriet Jones wins the election. It's funny that Mickey references the election of Tony Blair rather than Harriet Jones being elected. A funny fact as well is they must have called another general election after Harriet Jones was deposed, to elect Harold Saxon (The Master). Not to mention The Master didn't actually stand for any party as quoted by the Doctor and Martha in The Sound of Drums. God U.K. Poltics during this time period must have been extremely chaotic, even more so then they are now.
Well you’ve got the literal reason that Tony Blair not being elected has more impact on people that some fictional character. Also for Mickey Harriet Jones would be a successful prime minister but one that burnt herself out and didn’t make much of a impact.
I just noticed that where he was at when he said "brace yourself" then afterward where he is laying makes no sense. unless he jumped to shield Rose. lol idk I thought it was a little odd.
Just walking by the Thames and I am stood by that church in the background. Recognised it immediately and went to this scene to confirm. Feels awesome!
I really liked the April 22nd 5:02PM London where time is broken. In a way thats also a parallel London. I mean it was like every nerd's fantasy. They had Dinosaurs, Airships, Romans, Winston Churchill. My question is why did they have calendars and clocks? Why ask what time it is? What is time to them? Best not to ask though cause it's such a broken world that nothing really had to make sense.
Scsigs I think it was based off of it, but not set in it. It had a steampunk-ish aesthetic, and I couldn't find anything about extensive use of zeppelins in the war. Still, it was a parallel world.
burymeinpink In the original series for it, they establish that the series runs in parallel to that time period in our world, while it's nowhere to be found in the manga, or Brotherhood outside of "maybe it could be."
Did anyone notice, 1st of February, yet the trees seem to be in a very early Autumn leaf colour with green and pale yellow. Ummm... . . I dont think its February. Seems more like October if you ask me. Unless to parallel universe is warmer in the winter in England and colder in the summer??

Looking through the comments on a DW video makes me sad. Why does the accepted feeling amongst the fandom now seem to be extreme anger and hatred? I think the show gets WAY too much unwarranted negativity nowadays. I swear, Doctor Who's received more hate in recent years from its supposed "fans" than it has from any haters I've come across.
***** Just look far enough in any UA-cam, Facebook, or any other internet comment section and you'll find them. I once had a charming individual say I was mentally challenged because I like Clara. And the Doctor Who IMDB forum is a nice place to find extreme pessimism and disrespect. The only place I feel comfortable looking into a Doctor Who comment section is on Doctor Who TV because the fans over there are at least respectful and civil about their opinions.
+Whovian Roxas Yeah I agree with you.... I found one such video - a teaser for the episode Flatline, where Clara has to be the Doctor's eyes.... She calls herself the Doctor. The hate powering in from that particular teaser was phenomenal! I also happen to like Clara and Capaldi's Doctor....
The beginning of the clip demonstrates exactly why I hate Rose and why I don't like the Tenth Doctor all that much either. They, or at least, the Doctor, forgot Mickey after only a minute, the Doctor even says so. Why I'm counting Rose here is because she LAUGHS about it, which is just insult to injury. I'm surprised Mickey didn't leave sooner, considering how bad the Ninth and Tenth Doctors treated him for no reason and that Rose stopped caring about him as soon as she met the Doctor.
To be fair Mickey left very quickly, after only two adventures. I agree though, the relationship between the Doctor and Rose in series 2 was what made it my least favourite season (as I don't count season 7 as a legitimate series, it was just awful) and Tennant got much better as he moved on.
Rose was OK with Nine, but series 2 Rose was ugh (especially from School Reunion on). I don't necessarily hate her (I don't hate any companion) but she's by far my least favorite (at least of the new who companions)
The Doctor: She's dead, the TARDIS is dead. We fell out of the vortex, through the void, into nothingness. Mickey: *opens the door to the place where all their oxygen is*
I always assumed them landing in parallel world was Mickey’s fault. Him stood with his finger on that BUTTON for ages... ..like leaving ur phone on charge for a week and it blows up or something. What do we reckon? Was it Mickey’s fault?... ⚡️😱⚡️
+Giovanni Magnus When she got thrown through the time vortex and then the void she lost her power source from Doctor's home universe and then landing in a parallel universe would be another shock to the system. As a parallel universe would have a slightly different and therefore incompatible source. With the Time Lords destroyed (from the 10th's view) the Doctor could not get the power boost necessary for his poor ship to survive the jump/fall. Therefore the ship died. So I think it is the combination of all three; falling out of the vortex, into the void and then landing in a parallel universe that killed her.All I can think of as a real life source is a capacitor (connect it wrong and it explodes) or maybe AC or DC power supplies.
So I think the tardis is a living thing. When the tardis breaks he refers to it as dead. And we know it has intelligence so it's easy to assume that the tardis is alive
Danny (i'm assuming you mean Pink unless i'm forgetting someone.) is kinda understandable. The Doctor isn't exactly conformable with wars and soldiers nowadays with good reason. Even though he knows nowadays that he saved Gallifrey the memory of all of it happening without 10 and 11's intervention is still there. So I can at least understand being hostile to Danny, I think he sees himself and hates it. Mickey.....Well 10's just being a prick.
Mickey? Because 10 could be a dick. So many layers to him, which is why he was felt so real and was such a great doctor. Danny? Because the plot required Danny and the Doctor to be enemies so Clara (the main character of the show) had a whole storyline feeling torn between them.
To be fair, the Doctor got on a lot better with Mickey, but it was Rose who was distracting him. She got incredibly jealous if anyone dared communicate with the Doctor.
Parallel earth, but where is the parallel Doctor? Would have been great to see one for this universe with the actor who was second choice for the 10th Doctor.
Did the Tardis actually die because the Doctor forgot to tell Mickey to release the button, or did it die because they blundered into someplace that was an inter dimensional rift into Pete's World?
If I'd been there, I'd probably shut The Doctor up before the whole 'I know exactly what I'm doing' thing. It's clear that he doesn't understand ALL the TARDIS's workings, even now.
For someone who can travel anywhere and "anywhen" in space and time, The Doctor sure loves modern london.

Rose was OK with Nine, but series 2 Rose was ugh (especially from School Reunion on). I don't necessarily hate her (I don't hate any companion) but she's by far my least favorite (at least of the new who companions)
Only companions I like from NuWho are Donna, Amy, Rory, and River.
Get TARDIS insurance
And they all died happily ever after at 0:34
Does he say... "Live, from New York, It's Saturday Night... (at the end)
This is a cool episode
The Doctor: She's dead, the TARDIS is dead. We fell out of the vortex, through the void, into nothingness.
Mickey: *opens the door to the place where all their oxygen is*
after scherzo you'd think The Doctor would have a different reaction
I always assumed them landing in parallel world was Mickey’s fault. Him stood with his finger on that BUTTON for ages...
..like leaving ur phone on charge for a week and it blows up or something.
What do we reckon? Was it Mickey’s fault?... ⚡️😱⚡️
This is what happens when you forget about Mickey.
What’s the song played at 2:56
Rose is back in the new Season with a BBC
Why does the TARDIS always dies when roses is there like the satan pit episode and this channel makes me wanna watch every episode of doctor who again
How did the TARDIS die? She couldn't have just ran out of energy that quickly, was it the shock of falling into the void that killed her?
How does a time vortex just disappear
in every other parallel world: Zeppelins all the time
doctor who, fringe, The gate ETC
That faint sound effect in the background at 0:12 is also used in GTA V when you collect Bull Shark Testosterone! Anyone know its name?
I feel like the cold open of the episode should've actually ended once Rose finds out her parallel universe dad is still alive, that's a better point.
London was cool back then
If it’s a parallel world and a parallel Rose and Mickey then what about the Doctor? Gallifrey?
It took me 12 years to realise that the things that dropped from the tardis roof were gas masks
Walter
I love the fact that the oxygen masks in the Tardis control room don't fall until after she crashed. Kind of useless at that point
So I think the tardis is a living thing. When the tardis breaks he refers to it as dead. And we know it has intelligence so it's easy to assume that the tardis is alive
That's canon actually
I know exactly what I'm doing
Boom
What happened?
Oh, the usual forgot to put the parking brake on.
Was that thing Mickey was touching responsible when he should have let go earlier
i never understood why the doctor picked on guys like micky and danny. treated them like jokes
JamesPlaysGames95 Maybe he is racist?
Danny (i'm assuming you mean Pink unless i'm forgetting someone.) is kinda understandable. The Doctor isn't exactly conformable with wars and soldiers nowadays with good reason. Even though he knows nowadays that he saved Gallifrey the memory of all of it happening without 10 and 11's intervention is still there. So I can at least understand being hostile to Danny, I think he sees himself and hates it. Mickey.....Well 10's just being a prick.
He tried the same for Jack but Jack was way too charismatic for it to work.
Mickey? Because 10 could be a dick. So many layers to him, which is why he was felt so real and was such a great doctor.
Danny? Because the plot required Danny and the Doctor to be enemies so Clara (the main character of the show) had a whole storyline feeling torn between them.
@@mayotango1317 He did it to Rory too
Why are they so mean to Mickeyyyy ugh I want to punch Tennant sometimes
Why on earth is it the actor's fault?? Blame the writers!
Sorry, I meant it more as I wanted to punch the Doctor's face not so much the actual actor.
But yeah, the actual person to blame are the writers.
To be fair, the Doctor got on a lot better with Mickey, but it was Rose who was distracting him. She got incredibly jealous if anyone dared communicate with the Doctor.
I feel Ninth appreciates Mickey better than Tenth. Tenth is basically a jerk to young men and so flirty to women. Disgusting.
The doctor sounds so heartbroken. When the Tardis is dead
Parallel earth, but where is the parallel Doctor? Would have been great to see one for this universe with the actor who was second choice for the 10th Doctor.
"I know exactly what I'm doing." Ri-ight...
I would like Zeppelins in present-day London.
Did the Tardis actually die because the Doctor forgot to tell Mickey to release the button, or did it die because they blundered into someplace that was an inter dimensional rift into Pete's World?
doctor who should have more than 13 episodes a year ,,have 2 spin offs ..anytime ,,,im getting sever withdrawl symptons
It's a big club. We should get t-shirts.
and more
kiltedjohn1000 severe*
Damn it Mikey you broke the tardis
I feel really bad for mickey
If I'd been there, I'd probably shut The Doctor up before the whole 'I know exactly what I'm doing' thing. It's clear that he doesn't understand ALL the TARDIS's workings, even now.
Ryan McFly I know... if you watch the very very first episode he says he can't even steer the ship
Ruth is the 2nd dimension's Doctor
