My favorite song by Kalafina. Years ago my friend died from drug related problems. The drug ruined her liver and killed her. She fell down while walking to lunch one day and died. When Kalafina sings of a wish for a friend ship to never end and stay the same I think of my poor little friend. I wished for us to be forever. The sad music is all the more perfect.
Despite how sweet and innocent this song sounds, when reading the lyrics and taking Rebellion into consideration, it's the saddest song in the entire pmmm franchise imo. It's all about turning a blind eye to a painful truth and choosing to exist in a fantasy where you can truly be happy, and that's a pretty good metaphor for what Homura wants Madoka to do. She essentially created a "fantasy land" where Madoka could be truly happy at the cost of her own salvation, and even tried to consider the feelings of the friends who tried to save her too (albeit that wasn't her primary goal.) And honestly? That's what frustrates me about people who think Homura was selfish for what she did. In reality, she did the most selfless thing she could possibly do. Homura could have let herself be saved, to exist as a part of the law of cycles for all of eternity, but would Madoka ever truly be happy that way? In my opinion, no. If we do what Homura did and take their conversation in the field as Madoka's true feelings, she was essentially saying she was miserable as a goddess (or at the very least, that's what Homura was hearing.) Taking that into consideration, it makes a lot of sense why Homura would do what she did. Even at the end of it all, even if it made her the villain of this story, even if Madoka herself ended up hating her... She wanted to do anything in order to let Madoka live a happy life. Not to mention that if Homura hadn't done what she did, the Incubators would have tried everything they could to capture Madoka as many times as it took. At least with Homura as the law of cycles, she can personally keep close tabs on them and prohibit their interference as much as she can. Sorry for getting side-tracked, but yeah, I don't think Homura was selfish or even necessarily wrong for what she did, nor was it out of character in any way.
You are absolutely right, finally someone who understands that the intention of homura was as pure as possible, and that over time it was staining, but never turned away from its objective
@@estefg5485 I think the core moral flaw in Homuras actions was never and isn't at the end, her intentions. It's her means. Does she MEAN good? yes .... does she DO it, argueable. The Incubators would have been there anyway, if Homura went with Madoka. The battle with Homulilly gave Kyubey exactly what he was after in the end: he confirmed the existence of the Law of the Cycles as an entity (a side effect of Madoka's wish, she has to cleanse the Soul Gems with her own hands after all), and not just a universal law, and got to observe its abilities (Sayaka and Nagisa etc.). He would not have stopped trying to gain control. The possible rewards would have been worth even a long struggle.

Several years ago this showed up in my "Recommended" items on UA-cam. I had neither heard nor thought about Japanese Pop music before that. As I listened and watched, I was completely drawn in by the musicality, the way the three voices melded while handing off melody from one singer to another so seamlessly. I was completely captivated. Since then, I've grabbed everything Kalafina I can find, and about 85% of their numbers are on my primary playlist. This remains my favorite among their songs, although a couple of others, especially Hyakka Ryouran are close. The only thing I find wrong with Kalafina's music is that I can't have it playing in the background - I find myself pausing in whatever I'm doing to focus on listening. I'm saddened by the reality that they've disbanded, and that there won't be anything more coming from them.
That’s awesome! I love you found them that way. It’s possible you’d like the anime that is from. It’s called Madoka Magica and I consider it to be something that a person who doesn’t even like anime would enjoy. This might be my favorite of the Madoka OP/ED songs. "Magia" is intense, dense, and raw, but this track is delightfully subversive in the way that I enjoyed the Rebellion story. Superficially, this has the light airiness of "Connect" and its kin, but after everything we'd seen and heard through Rebellion, and where it finished out, that tormented undercurrent convulses all throughout the span of this track, deludedly acting as if it is so chipper and dainty as it sounds, but not meaning to deceive, only in denial as to the burden carried along these notes. It's cute, in its own way, pitiable, where I hurt for it and yearn to see a reckoning, to someplace where this supposed happiness is truly uncompromised.

Madoka Magica Rebellion♡
Deveria tener millones de visitas q pasa aqui
x2 debes de estar escuchando regueron caliente xd :v porque no escucha esta obra maestra
I freaking love them.
I love this song is so beautiful and sad really really beautifull.
голос Ваканы божественен, Хикару словно колокольчик, ну а Кейко моя любовь ❤
The neon animation of Madoka and Homura is a way better background for this beautiful song.
this song gives me end of evangelion vibes
Chie Sierra I mean, that was basically what Madoka Rebellion was 😂
It's Evangelion for kids
Except the show is thematically different from Evangelion, so not really a kids' version.
both of those animés had a collaboration in "the battle cats" anyways (if you only know that game)😅
Evangeliontards are everywhere
Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion ^^
Homu has problems but I love her. No matter what.
Will you marry me Wakana? I wanna wake up to your wineglass voice everyday in the morning...too good.
This feels like a fever dream.
só pra deixar registrado que essa música é minha favorita da vida ❤
É mesmo :')
