I have this exact Bible except mine is red. This is by far the nicest Bible I have ever seen or bought. And being a pastor from some 30 plus years, I have had many, many Bibles. This one is the Rolls Royce of Bibles. Its a pleasure to look at, read, and hold in the hand. I look forward each day reading and studying from this Bible. If you like the King James Version, you will not be sorry you bought this. Expensive? Well, yes. But this Bible will last a life-time (and maybe your children's children). This would be a great legacy Bible to pass on after you are gone and enjoying heaven.
I really appreciated how you went into such detail as to all that this Bible has to offer. I have had mine for about 6 months and didn't even noticed some of the features that this Bible has. Thanks to your review I am going to get much more out of this Bible than I realized.
Thank you, Chase, for your comprehensive review of the 53 which I very much appreciated seeing today. Hello from South Australia! I watched your review with my crimson red one beside me. I have had mine for 3 months, it being my first Allen's bible, and I love it. You told me the word for the paragraph markers: pilcrow. Thanks! As soon as I received my 53 I saw what a supremely beautifully made bible Allen's produce, so immediately bought the navy blue Brevier Clarendon because I wanted to have a small, portable one as well as the full sized bible. They're gorgeous bibles! I have briefly reviewed both bibles myself but do not go to the same extent of detail that you do, so watching yours after the fact was nice :-)
I am so impressed with your knowledge and presentation. Wonderful video about a subject which you are obviously passionate about. I look forward to future videos and hope all those with interest have the pleasure of viewing this video.
Wonderful Bible! I love those Allan Longprimers. I thought you brought out some really interesting things that I haven't heard other reviewers talk about. Great job!
I noticed you have the Allan 53 as well as the Canterbury full yapp! I’m still debating which one to go with?! Which one have you liked better and what are some of those reasons? Thank you for your reviews and God bless!
Hello, I prefer the Allan to the Canterbury. The Canterbury is difficult to carry due to it’s large footprint. Also, I prefer the Allan 52 to the 53. They have the same text block which is a bit thick at 1.5 inches. Full yapp on a text block that thick is just too much yapp imho. Also the 52 is bound by Royal Jongbloed and is better constructed than the 53 bound by Charfleet. Also I prefer the leather of the 52. God bless.
I had a black 53c but found it to thick to carry around. I am going to get a standard 53. I am on the fence between the blue or the black. Any opinions.?
Thanks for the review. I also have a 53 and just noticed in John 3 that the page heading at top says “ Christ purgeth the temple”. Does you copy say that as well. John 3 has nothing to do with Christ purging the temple.
Hello Brothers! I feel as though sometimes we admire bibles more than God Himself and so we watch review after review without knowing God...Get your Bible or use the one you have and Grow in grace...Have you prayed today? God bless
You are projecting your own convictions upon others and using this brothers channel to do so,its very rude. You're judging people based off your own opinion, which you then weigh by your own personal weakness.? You should really stop watching these videos cause its obviously effecting...YOU , and how you see other christians.
Excellent review. I’ve watched several, but few are as detailed and comprehensive as yours. Thank you!
