Thank you so much Alexa! This is brilliant, I can't find any words good enough to express my gratitude, I have studied french in the college but thanks to the teacher being ready to retire she didn't bother a lot with teaching us proper french. I speak English as my second language, Spanish bilingual and I'm so excited to learn French, what an amazing opportunity! You're do kind and so patient, I wish you all the best in everything you do.
I’ve only watched like 2 mins of this video and you’ve taught me more than my French teacher has all year. You’re helping students like me so much! Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much Alexa! I have french in middle school, and i think its super hard, especialy the unregular verbs, and these videos help alot! Can you please make more of them?
Literally same. Since you need to choose a second language and I chose French I was very confused about the irregular verbs. But this has helped me a lot. I have a French exam tomorrow and now I am confident that I will get good marks.
J'ai soixante-douze ans. Not the best age to start learning a language. Your UA-cam videos are, however, greatly encouraging. and extremely helpful. I love your teaching style and your bubbly personality.
je suis français et j apprends une autre langue (le japonais), j étais là par pure curiosité , mais cette vidéo m a quand même aidé car ça m a permit de comprendre ce que signifiait faire une emphase, c était un terme assez flou pour moi, jusqu à présent . merci, ce sont de très bon cours en passant, ça a l air agreable d apprendre le français avec toi.
hi alexa, my kid is one of your utube students! she has learned a lot from you. Here is her video where she sings a bit in French, we have been living in Paris for about a year now. Her french is much better now thanks to your vids. blessings!
For thanksgiving, I am thankful for that Alexa continoues this because some of us really need it, and I hope that she can achieve her dream. Merci Becoup Alexa
Hello Alexa! thanks for your lessons, they are really helpful. I want to ask you a question, when we talk about playing musical instruments, should we use the verb faire or the verb jouer? Greetings from Tucuman, Argentina
Thank you Alexa i·ve found you very effective and efficient teacher--i·ve never been interested in learning french until i found you- you are big help.
Hi Alexa, Sonakshi from India. I recently joined French class and today was my first day but I was able to introduce myself in French and also the days n my faculty was strange to hear that in my first class. He asked me where did u learn from I said Alexa really ur videos r so helpful and now I have learned the verbs. I must say u r a great mentor thanks for those excellent videos...... I am following ur videos Continuesly..... Salute.
Thank you Alexa. The upbeat music and your cheerful greeting help when I’m trying to learn French, which is not easy. This is really helping me with a French class I am taking.
I think the concept of "Faire" is easier to grasp if you speak a latin language In English, "Faire" is divided in two different verbs In Portuguese, for example, we have the verb "Fazer" which has the same meaning as "Faire" In Spanish, we have the verb "Hacer" which also has the same meaning I don't know about other latin languages though
Ow my God you are so so good thank you so much for spending your time doing this, It just show how committed you are with education you not only do your role in the society very well but you give the opportunity for those who are excluded because of no skills --> no resources to improve). I don't have money to learn French now but when I get there I will be always grateful to you you were my first french teacher
I am curious about the use of de la and du with these verbs. I'm assuming they have to do with the feminine and masculine? But when do I use them. They mean SOME, as in Je fais de la guitare? Why do I say I am playing SOME guitar and not just Je fais guitare/ la guitare?
Thank you so much Alexa! Your videos are so useful to other students like me! I didn't have a clue what faire meant before this but in just seven minutes you've explained everything! My teacher hasn't yet and she's been trying to teach me all year! Merci Madame!
Salut Alexa! Merci pour votre aide, je suis un etudiant de français et j'ai une question: quel est la différence entre dire "pouvoir y arriver" et "pouvoir le faire"? Je vous demande parce que je sais que "arriver" peux comprendre plus que seulement "to arrive", et j'ai appris que quelque fois, on peux dire "je peux y arriver" pour dire "I can do it". Je suis désolé si mon français n'est pas bon!
Hello Alexa. you're doing a super work. please I would like you to make a video on the difference between faire and prépare. they are quite confusing. thank you.
Dear Alexa, I have been teaching English for about 40 years, here are some tips . 1, People don't say sentences unles they are motivated by another speaker , for example I don't say '' I play the piano '' unless someone asks me what I play . 2. you don't comment on some points like : je fais du ''+ the insrument , and ''je fais de le or la + instrument , why ? Thanks in advance
bonjour Alexa, the example sentence you made " faire ses devoirs" saying " do your homeworks!" but i am confused with which "YOUR" is "TES" in french. that is my question. merci beaucoup pour nous apprendre le français
First introduction of conjugating faire in the present tense 0:48 Review 2:39 Je fais Tu fais Il fait Elle fait On fait Nous faisons Vous faites Ils font Elles font Faire means to do or to make.
Cette video est très bien! Merci pour ça. En Indie, en langue Marathi, nous parlons 'faire' pour les saisons, as if the weather has done it so cloudy or hot outside. C'est très similaire! 😅
Thank you for your videos Alexa, in a couple of months my babble subscription runs out and I will be jumping on your course instead, I have dyslexia and I am finding it hard to learn this language but, you’re very helpful.
Merci beaucoup, Alexa ! It's so difficult to understand the lessons in my class because they explain everything in French. Je ne comprend pas most of the time. Hahaha! You made it easier to understand.
Hi Alexa! So im going to high school next year and i have already learned french in my old school. I haven't practiced for a while now. I want to enter french in high school, but i dont want to start from the beginning, the high school said that they would test my french so they can see if i can enter the intermediate class. Do you think that watching your videos would help me review and learn? or do you advise me to enter french classes during summer. By the way thank you so much for these lessons!
Can anyone out there correct me if I'm wrong? I know "J'ai froid" literally means "I have cold" but contextually means "I'm cold" or "I'm feeling cold". As such: 1) "Il a froid" would mean "he is cold" if the context for "il" is "he" and not "it" right? 2)When "il" means "it", "Il fait froid" means "It is cold". Does this only refer to the general weather or can it be used to say that an object like an ice cube is cold?
LFCATFE According to Google Translator: "J'ai froid; tu as froid; nous avons froid; & vous avez froid, all work, as does "Elle a froid". (Note that there is no change to froid when the pronoun is plural or feminine.) But this does not seem to be the case when it comes to "Il a froid" nor "Ils / Elles ont froid". Instead, "Il est froid" & "Ils sont froids / Elles sont froides" seem to apply (& here, the ending of "froid" changes when the pronoun is plural or feminine plural). Also, as soon as one substitutes nouns for the pronouns it seems to be necessary to use être, not avoir: Mon frère et moi sommes froids. Alexa est chaude. Regarding "Il fait froid", it does only seem to be used when referring to the surrounding temperature. And, even when "il" (i.e. "it") is replaced by " the weather ", the verb reverts back to être: The weather is cold = Le temps est froid. The ice cube is cold = Le glaçon est froid. My hands are cold = Mes mains sont froides. ("Hand" is a feminine word.) However, though Google Translator is a very helpful tool, it has its limitations. So, if anyone knows better, please correct me.
Dear Allexa, Thank you so much for the great virtual classes. would you please verify my thought regarding the meaning of: faire les courses ( to do the shopping or to race)
Thank you so much Alexa! Lukas Suzzi Du = de le. De la - doesn’t shorten. So masculine becomes Du, feminine - De la.
i love your french lesson please never stop your helping alot of kids out like me to learn how to speak french so thank you for everything
