Ndotto is now at Voi one of the 3 reintegration units SWT runs; he went there with Mbegu who’s now the matriarch of the orphan herd at Voi. Ndotto or Dots the nickname many of keepers call him has been doing extremely well. He’s been an amazing friend to his herd mates and even to Ivia the Buffalo.

Love Ndotto and when I told him I’d loved him from the day he was born he gave me his trunk and it was magical, we blew back and forth. He’s so sweet and friendly with everyone and with the other elephants👍🐘🐘

Great admiration for all the people involved in helping this little orphans that are desperately in need of a second chance. Thanks to all the carers for their work and compassion.
She might begin feeling like Tokwe, Bubi and the other females -- and Jabulani, of course! -- who have adopted her and are teaching her how to elephant. She would want to pass along those lessons and the care she feels :D
The Sanctuary is in Nairobi , Kenya. Actually in the middle of the city, It's almost magical. First time i went i fell in love with the adorable little giants, I've been back many times since and every Christmas i adopt a baby elephant. Ndoto was also one of my fosters. Ndoto means "Dream" in Swahili.
😍Claudette: Saw him earlier this year and he is a delight. Just adopted him for my partner who related him so well. Can't wait to see him again next month!!
This was so exciting to watch! Elephants teach us so many lessons! Thanks to the sanctuary for everything they do to protect and care for these amazing creatures!!!! ❤️🐘
Ndotto is utterly adorable!❤ I’m so sad these little elephants went through trauma because of ghastly human beings, but also so happy there are angels out there that rescue, care for them, and help them adjust to a wild life.
I love Ndotto, he is so beautiful, and i just adopted him too. Bany elephants are so affectionate. I know he is 8 yrs old now, but if i ever get the chance to go to the sheldwick orphanage in nairobi, kenya i would lve to see the baby elephants in person. I always loved elephants, i think they are such gentle giants.

🤗 I like seeing👀 the elephants interacting with each other, and little Ndotto had to become use to being around the others 🐘🐘🐘 to know how to interact with them. And for them🐘 to be such large animals, they have such small eyes👁😍
Ndotto was a tiny premature baby found among the sheep and goats on a mountaintop. The villagers were wonderful, cared for him whilst one of the men ran all the way down to get help for him. He was the tiniest baby they’d ever seen and so spent his first year with the keepers helping him to walk etc. Mbegu is another

Mbegu has a book written about her: The Elephant Girl by James Patterson and Ellen Banda-Aaku. It tells the story of her coming to Sheldrick’s because of her mother’s death just as they said in the video. It was a wonderful book. After I and my 10 year old grandson read it, together we split Mbegu’s adoption fee so now she is our adopted elephant! I had already adopted several other elephants from Sheldrick’s over the years beginning with Kerrio. I was quite surprised as we read the book to find not only the connection to an organization I highly respected and supported but was truly surprised when we found out that Mbegu wasn’t a fictional elephant but one that actually did live at Sheldrick’s with the same background story as the book described! Even for adults I would recommend this book. It’s not a baby book by any means so any age would enjoy the story!
When I see Ndotto I think to the adorable Doldol ! they are both so tiny !I know Doldol passed away 🥲! not He makes me to think to the angel in the sky ‘ 💕🐘💕👼🥰🤗☹️🇫🇷

The punishment for a human who harms an elephant should be the same as a human harming another human J C This new law would be the start of human understanding of the importance of non human living beings and the responsibility to protect all living creature's both great and small placed in mankind's hands
Last I read from the reports on the Sheldrick website Ndotto went out into the wild for a night or two with a buddy so he is preparing himself to leave for the wild

so, yeah... this is a cute edit, but if you actually watch DSWT videos, you'll know that nothing about the story being pieced together here, is actually accurate. Ndotto was never kept apart from the herd for a year. the baby shown here is not a year old. hesitant babies are kept with small groups of two or three, not thrown into the big group singly. so cute story, but nothing to do with DSWT processes.

Ndotto is one of my favourites. Love to know his whereabouts now. His rescue was heart touching. Let know

@@dopeyhappey4160 he's at voi...I believe he's about 9years old now...I wonder if he is almost gone back to the wild at this point.
@@hiighway_chile4080He has recently started to sleep occasionally outside the stockades. He will probably go fully wild soon.
@@hiighway_chile4080He has started staying out at night according to a keeper diary a few months ago. He’ll probably go completely wild this year.
How anyone can think elephants are anything but complex sentient emotional self aware beings is beyond me. They SOOOOOO obviously are ❤❤❤
Ndotto is one of my fosters. He's a big boy now. ❤
mine too!!!
It is so wonderful to adopt these babies (i also adopted Ndotto). He is a beautiful elephant.

DOTTO i luv u 사랑해♥♥ 어디서든 건강해라
It is unthinkable that these beautiful creatures could become extinct.
And how trophy hunters pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to destroy these majestic and intelligent animals.
도토 잘 지내고 있구나!!

You folks are doing amazing work👏

He looks like he was just born.
Я очень люблю слонят, но после просмотра мне очень грустно, что эти невинные создания стродают от хищников в природе, но и от жестоких людей 😢
i almost cried and i am a guy
You are a guy with a loving heart & soul. Wish more people had the same...

how does a infertility dr not know how to give first aid immediately and has to be guided by the dispatcher?
💙🐘💙
Too many orphans
They are always found alone or with a dead mother and the keepers do a great job of saving them.
😭 ❤ 👏 🤝
Ndotto is Male ???

I am thankful all my friends are animal lovers. If I ever come into contact with a trophy hunter, I most likely will rip he/she apart.
Yes ,it angers me too.
Am glad that cruel fox hunting was banned here in UK years ago.
