We will be going on the celebration in June! We can’t wait. We’re considering doing this excursion. Do you remember what time the excursion started and what time to you had to be back on the boat?
Hello. Have a great time on your cruise! I believe there were 2 time slots options. You can see it on Carnival’s website under excursions. We opted for the early time- like maybe 9:30. It was about 5 hours long and we still had a couple hours left before back onboard time. I just can’t recall the specific times.

really enjoyed this video. we booked the day pass for our NCL trip in april. looked nice and clean and i liked the guide was there to give advice etc. was the beach nice?was there chairs ,umbrellas etc? also how far away from the cruise port was it?
The beach was ok. It seemed to be man made. There were chairs and umbrellas there. We didn’t really spend much time on the beach! It’s less than 10 minutes away from the port. Have a great time!
Dice is waaaay better than us, because........NO WAY! We don't do sharks! 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the video!! I was wondering what to do during Amber Cove, the last excursion we had here was rushed. I wondering if I want to book directly through Ocean World to get more time. Thanks for all the tips!
No problem! Thanks for watching! Soooooo from what I heard, the taxi rates aren’t regulated there. So the issue with booking directly is that you’ll have to pay for a taxi. I heard that someone people were being charged $80 or more just to go 15-20 minutes away from port when we cruised on Celebration. I personally don’t know about the taxis but decided to book through Carnival when I heard about it. I would’ve loved another 2-3 hours there though. This tour was about 4 hours long. And Amber Cove is one hour ahead of ships time so keep that in mind if you venture off on your own.
I am THOROUGHLY enjoying your videos. I am a first time cruiser and we are doing this exact cruise end of January 2024. You have provided sooooo much info and so many tips. I see your hubby with what looks an autism shirt? and I saw the word inclusion in your other video. I am traveling with my 19 year old daughter (she turns 20 the day we return) who has autism. I’ve talked with my carnival rep about her needs. I am assuming one of your loved ones has autism? How has cruising been for them? Any tips ? Amaya is a VERY picky eater so I know we will live at
Miami Slice and Time fries for her.
Thank you! Yes our 18 year old son Andrew has autism. He absolutely loves cruising! The sailaway and dance parties are his fave. It’s been a little challenging though lately keeping him occupied because he loved the kids/teens clubs (they are amazing with individual with special needs). Now that he is an adult, he is not able to attend those anymore. Your daughter will have a great time! Let me know if you have any specific questions!

Are you discussing traveling with special persons on your live tomorrow? My specific question is about internet access. I know they have kulturecity on board (what the carnival rep told me and registered her for) but does the iPad have internet browsing access? I didn’t think to ask her but wondering if you know. It is a MUST for her to have access to UA-cam or this will be a very long 7 day cruise. We would have picked a smaller duration but we got our cruise for $100 and we couldn’t beat that price (total 612 for me and my daughter on the celebration)
@@MHFamilyAdventures and they definitely need some options for older special needs guests. She attends a day program now that she has graduated so something like that would be so assume. It would get them out the hassle and bustle with sensory items, time out of the stateroom, maybe even speciality lunch.

Just a question. The transportation from port to ocean world looked to be large size busses. Is that correct? We took a Ship excursion once and the bus we were on was so tiny!! I'm a plus gal and it was very difficult just getting the down the aisle. I think several guest got very close body contact trying to get to the back and then there was zero leg room. Just curious. Hello! Yes for this particular excursion it was a large charter bus. Not sure if that’s what they always use. I totally understand though! I’m plus size as well and hate being in the small tour vans! The ride from the port to Ocean World was less than 10 minutes so not too bad if they happen to switch to the smaller buses/vans.

I have couple questions for you if you could help us with.
(1) our port arrival is 11:00 am and departure is 7:00 pm
I read in your other comment saying amber cove is 1 hour ahead.
So what would be my time lines here would I reach the place by 12 noon atleast and we can stay till 5:00 pm amber cove time to head back to the bus or taxi provided by carnival?
Are the above times reasonable?
What were your port arrival and departure time if you remember
We are interested to do the dolphin encounter
(2) where did you have your lunch
Can we eat in ship before coming here or lunch here is good?
(3) for water proof camera for recording is that the go pro ? Which dice was using to record. He took a nice footage btw.

You are very welcome! Thanks for watching. So when you arrive in port at 11am- that is ships time. Not local time. The local time will be 12pm. The ship will advise you of the ships time versus local time. Always follow the Carnival hub app to know what the ships time is. If you are booked thru Carnival they will make sure you get back on time. You’ll ride a bus there. And they’ll keep reminding you of the time. It’s a short 10 minute bus ride. I believe we had an earlier port arrival time. Think we were in around 8am and out around 5pm.
We didn’t eat lunch at Ocean World. We had a snack and then ate lunch back on the ship. And yes we use a GoPro Hero 9 for underwater footage and GoPro Hero 11 (or 12) for other footage. We love GoPro because it’s so easy to use! Thank you so much for watching and have a great time!
How long was the drive from Port to ocean world?
About 10 minutes.
So only thing not included with pass at ocean world is animal encounters?
That is correct!!! Some passes come with a lunch buffet. We chose not to get those because we read reviews that the lunch isn’t worth the cost.
Are the loungers included in the beach area?
Yes they are

Did you have to wear a life vest while snorkeling??
Yes unfortunately you do. It’s one of the rules listed on the waiver.
SMH. We are beach people and I realized winter is not the best for us if we plan to get into the water.
Do they have vest for plus sizes?
I honestly don’t know. I didn’t snorkel here but I’d imagine that they would. At least up to size 2-3XL. I’m a size 2XL and I always pack my personal vest just in case when I go snorkeling.
anything to do with a child in wheelchair? My 8 year old is on one, so I am hoping he could still go
Pretty much everything you see in this video is what they offer at Ocean World. I tried to capture as much as I could. There are lots of ramp/inclines, however some may be a bit bumpy. And a couple of the show areas may not be as accessible (thinking back to the sea lions…I believe it was all stairs). And I don’t recall seeing a beach wheelchair at the beach area. I’d recommend calling to see how accessible it is. I think your son could definitely go but just see if it’s fully accessible and he can get to all of the areas. Best wishes ❤️
