I love this boat. Utterly stunning. Hopefully in another year, there are some on the used market. I’d love to snatch one of these up! Incredible. Great video! Thank you!
Whats really great about this cat is the incredible abundance of natural light from the numerous hatches vents and portlights while still preserving privacy.
This Catamaran just passed my long check list of how a catamaran should be designed and I speak from experience having owned a Catamaran. 1 High bridge deck clearance. 2 overhangs above the windows and a window design with minimal areas that can leak. 3 large trampoline, means the weight is balanced or more weight is aft as is necessary for sailing performance. 4 Built in davits. 5 I like the head shower arrangements and I would mount a hand sanitizer in the sink-less head. 6 the cabinets and layout don’t look cheep to me but i would need more information on the core. The only thing that concerns me a bit is the helm looks to be designed for single handed only and doesn’t appear to have room for two people to trim the sails. I enjoy sailing single handed and I can do it very well right until I can’t and in storm situations my wife takes the helm and I man the sails and that looks like it would be awkward. I don’t like the tiny little hatches and they don’t appear to be built up meaning the rubber seal is the only thing that keeps the water out, Deck hatches should be installed on top of a fiberglass riser not directly to the deck. All and all it looks a nice catamaran for the money.
It is great to see more affordable catamaran options. We are trying to discourage boat makers from using a plumb (or worse, a reverse bow). Traditional bows that are swept aft are more likely to ride over hard floating objects like logs, containers, etc. Plumb bows would cause a hard stop from full speed, hitting a heavy enough object. When ocean running especially, surfing down a swell and hitting something at the bottom at 14knots will cause injuries at least. A lesser issue, the overhang on the side results in loud banging for the offwatch. Leopard (Morelli) made this mistake and switched away quickly. My angle is I do a ton of ocean catamaran deliveries. I have rigging suggestions ha, but getting back to work :).
Very nice boat, decently s closer look worth. Great interior design. The only issue I have with the helm. There should be reachable from inside, like the other catamaran. Offshore in the night and my wife on the helm??. But at all I'm very impressed. Thanks for the video.
O.K. really nice cat for the price and I can see having the showers separate but I would have put the sinks with the heads ( clean hands and a bum gun ) and would like to see some kind of a sun cover over the helm but that's just me .
The price looks reasonable because it is "starting price", where the boat is only a shell and some sails, if you really put all you need on it I am sure it will go more then 500 k or so...
A had a look at this boat at Cannes, where this vid was taken and I liked a lot of the layout solution, BUT the behind the scenes did not give my a good feeling of the build quality! Under the sink there was some untreated pine "sticks" used for supporting the sink arrangement. Also the steering linkage connection of the parallel was "skinny" looking. And by the way the engines are not Yanmars but Beta if I remember. Good engines but not as well known as Yanmar. I would have love to see the chainplates and how the load bearing bulkheads was fixed to the hulls and bridge deck. A sail in rough weather would give a good indication of how good the boat has been "put together" Lots of cats have too much "squeekie" noises from the interior, which indicates they are not properly put together. This would mean the boat should not go offshore on long passages in my opinon. This is based on sailing and owning two cats for 25 years.
I agree. You know the old saying, "You get what you paid for." This is still a $400,000+ boat once you add on a few things. I'd rather have a Seawind 1160 for the same price even though it's smaller in length. Very high build quality, and they really perform. The 1260 is awesome, but you're up around $480,000 decked out.
Nothing wrong with the beta marine engines, kabota based and good customer support. Yanmar are good engines but only generally pleasure craft type engines. Parts are no bargain either but better than Volvo that most European builders use. I bet Volvo make great deals with the builders on the engines for new installs. Interesting what you say about the behind the scenes stuff , but it's horses for courses , 99% of cats don't go off shore or driven hard so it should be fine. There were a lot of crappy built american boat still out there too. I'd be more interested in knowing if the hulls are a one piece unit or pieced together. Both ok if done right. Cheers Warren

Nice boat, but for 44’, the main saloon should extend forward another 10 feet or more. There’s nets in the front between the two hulls that are too large. The main saloon should be taking up part of that space. Additionally, the aft cockpit could be pushed a bit further back, as there’s more than enough hull behind the cockpit to use that space more efficiently, so the boat can have a larger saloon along with a larger galley.
yeah I kinda wonder why not go with 2 electric motors for props then if needed a gas/diesel engine to charge batteries to power the electic motors, aka like a hybrid car. Seems like this would have the advantages of electric while still maintaining the gas engine for backup, and would allow people to remove gas engine if they feel they dont need it. all in all saving space, reducing chance of failure (electic vs ICE electric 'should be' more reliable), and being more efficient, since you could motor on battery and save the petrol for emergency. idk... im just an armchair sailor but I think a hybrid setup would work well on boats and I dont quite understand why it is not used there. I do know batteries are expensive and heavy so 2 cons, but you could go with less battery and have a good charging system aka gas engine to run the electric motors. sounds redundant with more things to break potentially but electric is basically maintenance free so having an electric system (which provides options) then utilizing to keep battery full, one ICE engine as opposed to 2 should greatly reduce complexity and maintenance.

The price is right there at the end of the video on the spec sheet
Yes, it's cheap..
Too dear. They are up around mortgage prices. Are you kidding. They need to be dropped by half due to their being no land with it. If it comes with a lifetime mooring cool.if not just a cheap money grab off the interior decorating bull shit artists. How much is it empty?
A little old fashion in the constructional design (not the interior)...... no real flybridge?, no garage door to incorporate the dining area to the main saloon?, cancel the trampoline and convert that area in to a huge lounge area..... (check out bali catamarans) I have spoken
You dont know anything about sailing…. Go and buy a motorboat.. trying to close sails on the top of a fly bridge on a heavy weather? How about the weight of huge lounge in the front and garage doors?
