In one of his songs (Nelle tue mani) a short video of the movie "Gladiator" is played. in it, Russell Crowe is dobbed in italian. I love this video so much that after i've watched it so many times, I started to notice I could understand not only the video but also the song's lyrics. My desire to learn the italian language was born and in just after three months, I can enjoy more and more of Bocelli's music along with the music of other artists of the 1980's Bellissimo

Dear Mister Bocelli. I have always loved your music and your voice. A couple years ago I became blind in the right eye after 8 retina detachments. And currently we are trying to save my left eye. If I ever become fully blind I hope I have your beautiful attitude always. You are a role model to me and when I get anxious about my eyes I listen to your music.
My dream would be to meet you one day.
I’m originally from Belgium but live in Florida and I know you were here in February and wanted to come see you so bad but I actually had eye surgery on hat day.
June 17 is my birthday so maybe my husband and I will come to CA as I saw you will be there. Ironically my husband has been legally blind his whole life. He sees very little and different than the normal person and has never been able to drive. So when this happened to my eyes I was like: seriously God!
But I have incredible faith in the Lord and they say God will not give you things you can not handle. I guess God thinks I’m a Badass. Lol
I do not know if this message will ever reach you but if it does I wanted you to know your are my inspiration.

One of my favorite Andrea Bocelli songs. He has the most beautiful voice that I have ever heard. I actually got the opportunity to meet him in person before his concert in Chicago way back in December of 2014. He was very bashful when I got to meet him and tell him that he had the most beautiful voice that I have ever heard. I had been very ill and I emailed his production company and I told them that I wished that I could sing with him. I told them how sick I had been and that listening to Andrea singing was the only thing that made me feel better. I had been in and out of the hospital from severe bronchitis and I actually started coughing up blood for 6 months. I couldn't believe it when I got a return email from Andrea's wife's assistant. She told me that she had arranged 2 free VIP passes and 2 free tickets to see Andrea Bocelli in concert. They also arranged a meet and greet with Andrea about an hour and a half before the concert started. When I first got backstage, I was introduced to Andrea's beautiful wife, Veronica. She was a very nice woman and we talked with each other for a while and then she told me that she was going to bring Andrea out of his dressing room to introduce me to him. Veronica actually took pictures with my Mom's camera so that I could have the pictures of Andrea, my Mom, and I standing arm and arm together. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget because I just lost my Mom about 2 months ago. I am so glad that I took her with me to meet Andrea Bocelli. It's a great memory. Whenever I hear Andrea Bocelli singing..it brings me back to when I got the opportunity to bring my Mom bring my Mom to meet him in person and then see him performing live onstage. He is absolutely amazing to see in person. ❤ Thank you to Almud Music and Alessia Navarino for making my dream come true.

En mi país es normal hacer oficio y limpiar la casa con salsa, merengue, cumbia etc... Pero mi mamá lo ponía a él, porque mi Tío le prestó un CD, el de Romanza en español. Yo le preguntaba a mi mamá por qué tenía sus ojos cerrados, yo no podía creer que no veía, se lo preguntaba una y otra vez. Conocí su historia y de por sí yo ya estaba encantada con su voz. Hoy tengo 23 años y simplemente la dulzura de Andrea me sigue haciendo llenar de lágrimas los ojos.

Non voglio fare di tutta l erba un fascio , per carità, c'è qualcuno che fa eccezione , ma non credo mi darete torto sul fatto che molti giovani d oggi , coetanei miei , non sappiano , o meglio , non vogliano apprezzare questa perla che il destino ci ha regalato .. e detto sinceramente , non capisco perché.. Non è Pavarotti , questo è chiaro , ma ciò non è richiesto in fin dei conti .. Lui è Andrea .. Desde que vi la novela "vivo por Elena" y pusieron su canción "vivo por ella" de entrada me gustó su voz. ¡Era una niña en ese entonces!
