@@katherineschiller When you spoke about your little girl playing with your art supplies while you work I was reminded of when I was a little girl I would sit behind my mom when she would sew and I would take fabric swatches and a needle and sew and fold and make shapes. It was such a bonding time:) It taught me what it feels like to get into a flow when making art:) You are giving your little girl a wonderful gift in being with you as you create:) It is so fun to inspire each other! I have been in a bit of a slump but your video gave me motivation to get in my room and organize my many ideas and all the supplies that I have collected through the years. Thank you so much. I just realized my window is right up in the corner... Anyway I think our spaces are a similar dimension. My mess is pretty bad at the moment but I am more inspired now .. my day when I saw your video got taken up with a leaking faucet in our kitchen and the next day I had to go to the dentist... I have to take antianxiety meds to go so that day was mostly in bed! They worked well though... I don't remember much and I feel good today👍 anyway today I got in my office and took a photo of what I am dealing with 😆 A lot of it is actually a couch I disassembled, packaging and some things I already organized to donate... I am also tackling the closet in my massage business room... These are spaces I rent, not in my home;) Thank you for the motivation... I am trying to figure out how to share a photo from my phone... Not techy 😊 You have a beautiful heart... Let your emotions flow when they arise 💕

Thank you for sharing your space! I have a couple of questions: where did you get your white desk chair and is it comfortable for sitting long periods? What do you use to keep your finished paintings from sticking to each other when they are stacked on the shelf? Good luck with your monstera! I found that when I moved mine from a north window to a brighter spot it pushed out three new leaves in a week, so that bright window should make yours very happy!
Hi Michele! Thanks for all the questions. My husband got the white swivel chair for me from Amazon, I tried looking for the exact one but I can’t find it. It is comfortable enough, but probably not for multiple hours straight. I honestly haven’t had any issues with paintings sticking together on the shelf, but if I were to make an effort I’d probably put some glassine paper in between! I ended up talking to a plant expert and they said it was a fungal infection 😭 so I got a non toxic spray to cure it and basically “quarantined” it from other plants and it’s doing much better! There is still a little bit of the “rust” so I might also end up repotting it with a new soil!

Maybe add a rug for her to give her a soft space to play on? Also love your commitment to her enjoyment of the room, even though it's your workspace. Can't wait to see how you work the older pieces and shelves. The desk position is perfect in feng shui terms. You should always be able to see the door. Able to see the whole room: priceless! It's also great how you placed your paper storage drawers under the desk facing out. Brilliant.

Where'd you get your desk easel from and do you know the brand by any chance?
I got it from Michael’s a couple years ago but looks like Walmart and Amazon have it too for much cheaper! Where is your easel from?
Hi there! It’s the Meeden brand. You can get them on Amazon or on their website. I’d recommend getting one with wheels though. This doesn’t, and it’s super heavy so it’s hard to move it around. Hope that helps! x
