I traveled to the Van Gogh museum for the second weekend of the event and the shop was sold out of everything apart from colouring books, pens, colouring pencils and post cards. It was extremely depressing. They did have plenty of promos left, there was a small group of people outside the exit offering to buy the Pikachu promos for 70-100 euros
Odered literally one plush.. my ordered got cancelled this past Friday. Pokemon center took the money immediately now claim it'll take 30 days to refund me.. done buying from them directly
The sad part about flippers, is that they cheer each other on and say it's a "hustle" and then go on to say ones that don't do it are lazy and broke and that our complaints are the problem lol Also, "you get this promo if you've never worn a flame shirt" LOL
Those who wanted to make big gains needed to get on when the frenzy & hype. Those who want to make profit off it now it's a bit late . Once the price goes down I'm going to pick one up to display it
Anybody know if pokemon center ever sent the 2023 illustration contest codes to the united states? I know the first waves were for like australians. 😢 very disapointing to have gotten one when there were bots that had hundreds
fav point from the vid: id rather buy when its calm and noone is talking about it because there isn't anything to distract from the market price at the chill quiet time.
I miss the time when people were chill. Everything's hyped up to infinity on the one side, but extremely short lived on the other. Remember when 151 was supposed to be the hottest product of the year? Completely overshadowed by van Gogh in a heartbeat. Hell, scalpers didn't even know who van Gogh was until a week ago, let alone how to spell his name correctly.
I take with what you say with a grain of salt. You got the bank roll to tell people just wait and then buy the card when it goes down. People try and get this for retail so they won't over pay. Scalpers could care less if the have 100 or 200 copies, as long as they make a profit.
funny how most people have a vague idea of Van Gogh and that translates into insane FOMO but completly sleep on pokemon's other art references. personally I think the MC Escher Palkia from astral radiance is a way better art, that said Pikachu will always be collectable
It’s not a fiasco, it’s a huge success! I’ve spoked to the manager of the Van Gogh museum, they are overwhelmed with all the success. From kids to adults, they didn’t expect so many people were showing up. I visited the museum 3 times and enjoyed every time also seeing other people enjoying it. Yes, they expected more kids instead of adults but they also understand Pokemon is there for more generations. The footage we all have seen was only on the first day, some people tried to get the merch. The museum did a very good job on getting everything smooth in the days after. There are 100,000 cards printed. 25,000 for the centers, 75,000 for the museum. There won’t be more cards printed of the Pikachu after told the manager! Forget the reprints The reason why there just a little cards and merch printed is because the goal was to get kids in to museums. Not to promote a new Pokemon collaboration, that’s a whole different point of view like 95% of all the people here on Pokemon channels think.
They should be aware. If literally anyone watching this could have predicted it, they (with all their millions invested into market research) should be aware. And their systems should much better like you say. Awesome promo though haha
I literally decided to say f pikachu and it's f'n promo lol sick of the nonsense. Love the insight he provides in the video I hope these fools listen and learn.
I'm sorry, these arguments don't make any sense to me. Pokémon is literally ran by how rare and popular cards are. why don't people complain when japan gets promo cards or Pokémon center exclusives? this card is a museum and Pokémon center exclusive if you buy a certain product, it sold out and is clearly sought after. keep the card rare and an actual promo. its no longer exclusive if you mass produce it. might As well just make a box and sell it at target, GameStop etc.
I’m getting tired hearing about these bot complaints. I got 2 promos with 2 separate orders and I’m just your average joe. Sneaker drops actually have a bot problem PC just needs to work on their site
Just limit those cards for people that play the game. Japan does it with boxes and it somewhat works. It s easier than having to show your tax returns haha.
Thing that annoys me the most is that the children cannot get the card like they're supposed to. i understand that this is not just a kids game anymore, but jeez man..
Don't condone the people fighting and getting 200 online but good luck to those who don't have to work. It's soul destroying and if you can do something you like fair play. Just don't be a twat at the same time. Strange times we live in with half of what's now accepted but not wanting to slave away at a supermarket is frowned upon 🤷♂️
the "anything but get a job'ers" 😂😂
I have not even started the video because the PHAT Pika is all I needed to see today, thank you!
that Buckethead shirt is CLEAN
throwback with the buckethead shirt
Great video as usual. I'm gonna wait a long while when things have calmed down until I pick up a furry hat Pikachu too.
Scott’s commentary is always 🐐appreciate the videos.

The couple items i ordered shipped today. I figured it would get cancelled.
Congratz 🚀🚀🚀
he's rich!
FLIP IT, RIP IT, DIP IT!
Same! Mine finally shipped and I was shocked.
Yeah man I missed out on Felt Hat Pikachu but don’t feel like I missed anything really yet.
This and NFT’s are similar , scalpers everywhere it’s best to wait for the noise to die down even if that means missing out on the “hype”

And they also claim they carry the entire hobby on their shoulders...
Van Gogh get a job

I wish card scalpers would legit just call themselves team rocket
Is that Buckethead on your t-shirt?
I did what you said and waited 6 months and bought two. Each $89.99. Shout out 888 Collictibles!
Let's be honest here. Most of the people who missed out just want to flip or hold the card long-term to eventually flip for a profit themselves.
Those who wanted to make big gains needed to get on when the frenzy & hype. Those who want to make profit off it now it's a bit late . Once the price goes down I'm going to pick one up to display it
I’d like to hear more on the video you made about Pokémon center cancelling overseas sellers or some more elaborating on that
He talks in depth about it on his patreon.

Can confirm Team Rocket also has a huge hub in Canadia

Haaah!!, stock exchange, good one 😝😝
Wow

None of these issues affect me because I only stick with vintage 💪🏽
Scalping at it's peak
Smeargle because his tail is a paint brush 😂

It's pronounced Gogh as in cough.
