Every net looks empty when you shoot the puck like he's been this year. Not to mention he only has like 2 or 3 actual empty net goals lol

Yep, I remember Peter Forsberg suffering from the same issue. Never saw a guy get mugged more than Peter with defenders literally clutching and grabbing him all game without penalty.
Nate is like the Jokic of the NHL. He will score incredible goals when he needs to or he will make insane passes to the other skaters making them better.
Best even strength player in nhl....better than mcdavid even strength

Please let the staff on TSN know cause they’re always going on about every little thing McDavid does, they don’t give enough credit to MacKinnon at all IMO! He’s almost like an afterthought sometimes. 🙄. McDavid has never carried Edm. on his back like MacKinnon has more than once! MVP!!

Mackinnon is so fast he draws more penalties and doesn’t get the call for more. It is officials not seeing it/ fairing the game down to the less skill players bar. Sad for fans

Yeah it’s a sad fact of the way the game is. You can’t have a game with 30 penalties every night. They call the really obvious stuff generally. But it’s also obvious the refs will literally start weight their calls if one team starts getting more PPs so as to balance it out. I saw one puck stats study showed the sharp drop off of likelihood of another PP once a team had more then their opponent; after 3 PPs above their opponent the likelihood the next PP handed out is theirs is almost zero.
