- Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) First Time Watching Movie Reaction, Review, and Commentary for JL. Many questions about why Jason is in so much worse of a mood than the last movie and many moments wondering what was going on in Crispin Glover's head while he was dancing were had.

The dog ran out, like "There's a killer on the loose, fuck ya'll, I'm outta here."
R.I.P. Ted White. Ted White was an absolute beast as Jason in this movie.
Best dance moves in the whole franchise in this one. Crispin Glover showing how George McFly got Lorraine at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance!
🤣🤣🤣 he was grooving
Crispin Glover just cannot portray a normal human to save his life, can he? 😅
That "dance" scene was the true horror of the entire movie.
The look on Jay’s face when Crispin Glover was doing his dance. That’s priceless
Your monologue at 20:50 is just priceless! 😂😂😂😂😂
"If you need somebody to talk to, bruh, I mean I'm not saying I'm here for you but...they got 800 numbers..." This had me rolling.
😂😂😂😂
Reminds me of Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. “If you need anything you know who to turn to…someone else.”
Part 6 is the real zombie Jason. The axe to the head at the end of part 3 just gave him a minor concussion.
Tommy Jarvis, the worthiest nine-year-old adversary a slasher villain ever had.
I thought he was 12 in part 4
Came for J, Blank, the co-pilots and the Crispin Glover dance and as usual, was not disappointed.
Fun fact: Since this film picks up right after part 3, it's now Sunday the 15th.
Lol 😂
I thought it took him a while to make it back to the lake since he was taken to the morgue. Since this group was like showing up for the weekend.
And Monday the 16th
Actually according to dead meat’s research the orignal Jason trilogy (parts 2-4) take place over a week
35:43 😂😂 Yeah he did look a little pisssed didn't he? Man I can't wait for you to watch part 6. My favorite one of the entire franchise. Jason goes beastmode in that one!!
Part 6 is also my fav, followed by part 4, 2, and 7 😊
@@CaramelPrincess1990Correct. Those are the most coherent entries.
Tom Savini went SO hard on the efx in this one, my goodness 😈
Yeah that head slide down the machete is gnarly
When you stopped the movie and had that heart to heart with Jason, I could not stop laughing. OMG you are the best movie reactor!
When Jason busts through the window and grabs Tommy the look of fear on Tommy's face was real because he didn't know it was coming.
Oh, Crispin Glover's dancing? They told him to be goofy and awkward, and DAMN can he do that, but he was dancing to AC/DC's Back In Black as temp music. They knew it wouldn't be the song in the final film, but the song they did use, "Love is a Lie" by Lion (who also did the theme to the 80's Transformers movie) made the dancing look even more strange. At least, that's what Glover told me in 1996.
I thought Jason was very helpful with the missing corkscrew... put it right in his hand. 😂
I love that Friday 4 is basically Jason Vorhees invading a John Hughes film as the teens feel deeper and more if not realistic at least individually memorable in this especially.
Friday the 13th invented 'key to the plot' 😅
Corey's hair in this always cracks me up 😄 He raked the hell out of his head, shaving it😆
The dance scene was the only part of this film that made me look away in horror.
The dancing scene itself and your reaction to it had me laugh crying…😂
Lol at the reaction when Jason got his hand split.😂😂🤣
Oh hell yeah. I love this movie. Crispen Glover takes it to the next level.
Hey McFly! 😂😂😂😂
Human Jason may not be as powerful as Zombie Jason, but the subtle emotions, grunts, and personality really made his earlier movies more memorable to me. Although part 7 is just too bad ass.
Your reaction to Crispin Glover's dancing was priceless!😂😂 Thanks for the laughs.
"Hey, hey. Where are you going?"
"I'll tell you where I'm going! I'm going crazy!"
Fun Fact: Chronologically, parts 2, 3 and 4 take place over the course of five days. During that time Jason (Ted White) kills 34 people.
Music Enthusiast Fact: Although Love Is A Lie (1984) by Lion debuted in the movie, it wasn't on the 2012 soundtrack. Lion would officially put the song on their Trouble In Angel City (1989) album.
Crazy Dance Fact: The strange dance which Jimbo performs at the party was contributed by actor Crispin Glover and was based on the eccentric way he actually danced in clubs. On the set he was dancing to Back In Black (1980) by AC/DC as the scene was filmed. In the film however an edited version of Love Is A Lie (1984) by Lion was dubbed into the scene.
Fall Guy's Revenge Fact: Corey Feldman was legitimately terrified during the window shot. As per series tradition, Jason was played by yet another stuntman, this time Ted White, a seasoned veteran of 40 years who had doubled for Clark Gable and John Wayne. He did not like Feldman, calling him the "meanest goddamn little kid" he'd ever dealt with. According to Jason performer Ted White, Corey Feldman maintained a bratty attitude on set. Feldman maintains that this was due to poor treatment by director Joseph Zito and that during filming of the scene in which he attacks Jason with the machete he was pretending that the sandbags he struck were Zito. When it came time to film the famous scene near the end when Jason reached through a broken window to pull Tommy out of a house, White got to act out his frustration. They had worked out the timing of when White would grab Feldman beforehand, but during filming White waited a couple of beats to the point that Feldman assumed the stunt had gone wrong. So, just as he let his guard down White grabbed him exactly as you see in the film, meaning Feldman's screams of horror were completely authentic. Despite everything, White stated in interviews that Feldman was a very impressive actor.
Feldman was right about the director's treatment. The naked girl in the inflatable raft was so cold she started crying but the director made her keep doing takes until Ted White got so pissed he threatened to walk off the set. Zito had no choice but to stop shooting and they brought the girl to shore and wrapped her up in a blanket to warm her up.
The "Come to Jesus" talk that J had with Jason had me rollin😂 J man, you are a national treasure.😅
I like how this movie was classy enough to let the dog escape, and not show what happened to the nice mom.
R.I.P. almost everybody else though.
The mom died in a deleted/alternate ending.
@@muddywaters2818
Yes i know she died.
They just didn't show how.
On Part 8 Jason was supposed to kick a dog but the actor playing him said not even Jason is f'd up enough to do that. For years tho I wondered if Jason threw Gordon out the window but yeah I think Gordo just wanted to get tf outta there. He knew what time it was..
@@LM_357
The actor is wrong. Almost everyone he killed was innocent. Why would he spare a dog?
What does he think, that Jason is a member of PETA?
@@LM_357Professionals have standards
That's a great shirt. Man, I'm back in school after a 13 year gab and I've been studying 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. You have no idea how much the videos that you and Blank put out help me decompress. Appreciate it.
I absolutely LOVE Jlloween. I always like when Blank whips out the "Please stand by" God... J's reaction was freaking funny.
16:00 The dance was not a directors choice, but purely Crispin Glover.
No one but Crispin "Dead Fuck" Glover dances like that. That was improvised by the actor. The script just said to dance. 😂😂
I loved the "I wonder which one found the dude that didn't wipe his ass comment".😂 I've loved watching your reactions to the Friday the 13th movie franchise.
Yup! Dude died with a shitty ass!
OMG I lost it when he saw what I think was the dog getting thrown out the window. LOL
Jason don't need a reason. Freddie talks. Jason just kills.
Shout-out to Tom Savini for the special effects, he did them for this one and the first one and it shows in the spectacular kills
"They key to the plot..." Imma make that my ring tone 😉😋😁🤣🤣🍻
J you are by far the best reactor/commentary. I love when pychoanalyzed Jason after the harpoon death. Bring on 5-7, Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X and Freddy Vs Jason ❤❤❤
Like I said, the computer don't lie #fridaythe13th
This was a fun one, and plenty of "Key to the Plot" moments. Poor George McFly though, corkscrew AND a meat cleaver. Little Corey Feldman is kind of a bad ass. When this came out, imagine what that head slide down the machete looked like on the big screen. Looking forward to the next installment. Part 5 is considered weak, you'll see why...but damn some of the death scenes are amazing. Also Dudley from Diff'rent Strokes has a pretty big role!
True about the key to the plot scenes. This is considered the horniest of the Friday films.
This movie is the main reason I will NEVER go camping. Everyone in my family is into camping & I'm not a stupid girl that goes into the woods.
Station wagons were huge in the seventies and early eighties.
Also, 10:34 killed me when you jumped at the dog. 😂
The gross out jazz hands had me 🤣 ☠️
Jason does kill dogs. He killed Muffin in the second movie. Muffin and Paul coming back after Jason's cabin was a hallucination.
How is that possible? Jenny was impersonating Pamela Vorheese when Paul showed up to help her before she stabbed Jason.
@@CaramelPrincess1990 You'll have to ask the people that made it. That was their answer to where's Paul a few years later. So pretty much nothing after Paul showed up again is what actually happened.
You don't get it. There are RULES. One of which is: JASON DOESN'T LIKE BANANAS!!! ;)
6:54 - J! It's so cool you're watching this so soon after Police Academy. The guy that plays Axel the coroner was the clumsy police recruit that started the riot downtown with the apple in that movie
Yooo i knew he looked familiar! Thanks for the info 👍
"Hey, dont test my petty. My petty Strong!" Lol i never went from wanting to talk ish to completely relating so quick before 😂 have a good one everyone
I’ve also never heard anyone talk about Jason making decisions, that was very interesting
Fun fact - Crispin was dancing to AC/DC Back In Black, chaotic regardless
I knew my favorite scene in the movie would stand out to you ! " He's killing me"!! LMAO
When you were talking about how Jason killed all the adults but Tommy can guard the house, I was crying laughing!
How did Tommy quickly shave his head bald with a pair of scissors??
I love your reactions. So funny. Parts 2, 4 and 6 are my favourites. Friday the 13th is such a great franchise.
Another great reaction! This is my favorite movie of the series. Some fun facts first undead Jason doesn't come in till another movie. Crispin Glover who plays Marty's dad was actually dancing to Metallica fade to Black. That's why his dancing wasn't that good. If you play the song when the scene comes on his movements synk up the music perfectly.
Yea, THAT is why the dancing didn't look good. lol
THE DOG JUMPED OUT OF THE WINDOW ON HIS OWN BECAUSE HE SENSED TO MUCH DANGER
That look at 30:14 was priceless. 😂
Crispen Glover's dead fuck dance moves cemented this entry as a classic
So....this is the last one right? A movies subtitle would never lie!
This one movie is gold because of Jimbo freaky dancing ! Tommy is such a legend. xx
My favorite of the series after part 6, some great keys to the plot in this one lol
There is actually a "parody" comedy spoof called "Saturday The 14th" which im sure wouldn't pull many views, but for those of us who caught the original Friday The 13th in theaters we thought it was great. Reason it probably wouldn't pull any views is because it disappeared for decades for some reason? Last time i saw it before youtube was on cable in '80's. Just letting everybody know its out there! They'd play Friday The 13th on cable Friday The 13th night & Saturday The 14th on Saturday The 14th.
See ya!
✌🌎❤
20:47 this rant was hilarious. I agree wholeheartedly though.
43:23 Double Tap Tribe lol
Great reaction as usual.
I’m happy you enjoyed it J😄. Not only one of the best Friday the 13th’s but one of my fav’s. Part 5 used to be considered one of the weakest ones but since then it has gained a cult following. I’ve always loved it though & i think you’ll enjoy it too. It’s like a dark comedy😂.
Part 5 was the first Friday and R rated movies I saw. It holds a special place in my heart. It's so bad it's good, especially the chocolate bar scene!
@@justinedse8435You’re not wrong😂👍🏾
I always thought part 5 had some gnarly kills. The belt? The shears right after? Those stick out for me in the series.
Maybe it’s nostalgia glasses, but I don’t think there was a bad entry in this series until 8 (yeah some were not good but just enjoyable) and then it was a trifecta of bad. Glad other people like some of those (Jason X), but I just didn’t like the direction they decided to go.
@@CopiousTurtleI can definitely agree with you there when it comes to New Line’s direction. Part 8 i think could’ve been way better if the director got his way with the budget. Part 5 also has so many hilarious moments that i’ve always loved.
8:17 To answer your question. Jason Voorhees becomes zombie Jason in part 6 ( to those that haven't seen it not going to give any spoiler on how he becomes zombie Jason )
Oh holy Jesus God damn J! U got the hell outta me w/the discount klansman comment, the speargun to the crotch, the fact that the dog out the window stopped you dead in your tracks with confusion, and the machete to Jason's hand & head 😆😆😂
This is both my favorite Friday film and Jason. Since this was supposed to be the final Friday, Ted White wanted to play Jason alittle different than before. That's why we see Jason go for broke in this one.
You have officially started the Tommy Jarvis Trilogy J, part 6 is my second-favorite. Oh I can't wait.
Also just threw a little shoe polish in your beard and it'll be fine.
No, you'll know Zombie Jason when you see him. When he comes out of the grave with lighting
Your opening is why Friday the 13th is such a big franchise. Even people not into horror as a genre can enjoy it. It has all the elements of others with serial killing, gore, and eventual magical things. Its a solid series that is great for everyone imo.
Part 1, 2, 4, and 6 are good, the rest are PURE trash
@@punkem733part 7 is good too.
This is the movie that leads up to zombie Jason. He is still just a beast of a man in this one.
Is this not zombie jason? I thought he drowned as a child.
I may miss out on this tonight. Going to a haunted house 😢
the Filmmakers made sure not to kill the dog cuz they knew ppl would hate that, true story
20:36 now that’s OHHH DA NUUUUUTZ!!!
The guy who gets killed in the morgue is the clumsy guy with glasses from Police Academy.
Haha. Right? That's Fackler.
I think Sam and Tara from Scream 5 and 6 are part of the double tap crew.
And the way Corey Feldman was reacting to the naked girls is how I still react to them. 😂
Finally, you have met the one and only Thomas Eugene Jarvis. There is much more to come with him. Much more, indeed! Still can't wait for you to get to Part 6! I.... can''t wait to watch you watch Freddy vs Jason either. Aside from one particular scene, which I thought was a tad... cheesy... I loved that one. The intro was off the chain! Plus, Nana Visitor played Jason's mama in the that one! Devout Trekkie that I am, I know her from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, where she was second in command to Avery Brooks, the principal from American History X. I... have this 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon thing I tend to do with just about all actors... it's a tick I have. 🤪
32:45 your reaction got me cry laughing cause I was just as confused too when I saw this the 1st time 😂😂
They got those 1800 numbers lol😂 I couldn’t resist
26:00 - "Anybody else, I'm saying your name. You don't answer me, I'll see when I see you'' - which shouldn't be long in this franchise
The dog got scared, saw Jason before Rob & said, oh, hell naw. Gordon jumped out the window. You see him run up from the basement. Runs upstairs & jumps. Gordon lived.
Ted White"Jason" said he loved the cat and mouse chase scenes with Kimberly Beck "Trish". He said it invigorated him, made him feel young. He also told director Joe Zito to have Kimberly really hit him with the prop hammer and to really punch him to make it look real. Ted said he was and experienced stuntman and he could take the hard hits. R.I.P. Ted White. My favorite Jason.
We need pumpkin head to make a entrance
This is my favorite Friday the 13th, ted white was the most brutal Jason Voorhees of all time!! RIP Ted White
I love the weirdness of this film and next one, makes it fun as hell
He's killing me! He's killing me!
My dude, first, that is a dope night cap. Second, I didn't notice about the Santa beard till you said something about. Third, it works for you. Like a megestic f!@#$ng wizard. Also awesome reaction, I think this is probably one of the better Friday The 13th movies.
Never liked the original series but the original 13th and this film I always liked. Was a treat @JL to see you react and hear your comments :). My stomach hurts from laughing
Love your music intro and your reactions! This one is my favorite Friday
We both love this series and scream. I need to join the family and stop waiting. Lol. I am always watching your reviews.
You do need to join. You would love it here - J
@@EOMReacts I just joined. :) Super excited!
Welcome to the family. Happy to have you here - J
@@EOMReacts thank you! :)
Best dance scene ever.
28:40 Jason drowned in 1957. There were two murders in 1958, and one in 1962.
Friday the 13th 2, 3 and 4 all take place in the same week 22 years after the last murder: July 12th to July 17th 1984.
There was no reason to shut down (or burn down) Camp Crystal Lake up to this murderous week.
"Damn shame what they did to that dog." - Coming to America, the landlord
Fun fact the director had just lost his dog a few months back and so instead of offing the dog like the script said he let the dog escape never to be seen again. 🤷🏾♂️👍🏾
Not zombie Jason yet he survived that lol
J’s reaction to Jason’s head sliding down the machete did NOT disappoint. This was fantastic.
"Hyped for horror movie. Who have I become?" Ha! Welcome to the club!
Favorite Friday movie
Jason is brutal in this one
I love your Aliens kissing booth shirt lol
I find myself a little disapointed J was looking away in squeemishness at the hand cut in half scene, his reaction to that would have been glorious. The next 2 friday movies star Tommy then he makes another appearance in Freddy vs Jason vs Deddites comics.
I can’t wait till you get to part six Jason Lives. That is my favorite one with the most kills.
This really was meant to be the last movie in the series/others felt different( I would skip no.5 fyi.). Part 6 intros you to Kane Hodder(played Jason in multiple filmsExcellent). Jason don't talk but, Actions speak volumes.
Crispin Glover is amazing
