For beginners:
Do not be too concerned about making big stacks, just stack and unload. Once you become familiar with the products, your stacks will get bigger.
I've got about 8 months OTR experience. Haven't driven in maybe 7 months and have my GFS orientation next week. Pretty nervous about driving in a city I'm not familiar with and starting so early...the hiring manager said 2am so I'll have to switch up my whole sleep schedule. I appreciate all the videos you make man
Been at gordon for about 6 months at the dallas tx division. liking it so far.
@Christian G were you given a hair follicle test or urine test when hired?
I just started orientation here in Texas I like how almost everyone is Cuban here. Coming from someone that is Cuban makes it feel at home. Can’t wait to be done with these online courses 😂
Getting paid to do courses is easy money so take it as a good thing 🤣🤞🏽
@@SRTYatted for sure bro
still doing it big bro?
Your relaxed and composed like a vet now 👍,you said your in soflo rite? I know you prolli don’t know every driver in your DC but does Fernando still drive for y’all out of Miami DC, we use to be selectors together
Yea once you got the hang of it you learn your pace and work smooth. Still a tough job but you learn to not kill yourself. And I know a Fernando that transferred over to the Texas DC
Bro...I work for SYC and went for gfs ride along, It was so organized and all compartment are separated by different color stickers
Yea i seen how Sysco separates they’re compartments by 3 in the trailer. Seems harder to get to everything. Downside to Gordon would be not having enough lift gate trailers
7 stops that’s love
I don’t work for GFS but to me the worse part of the job seems to be going down that ramp with a fully stacked dolly. I know GFS has dollies with brakes on them but I see most of you guys just running down the ramp and that just seems very dangerous to me 😅
You have a lot of space in that trailer
The emptier the better
