Y’all remember those old compilation videos where a Normal bunt would be edited to make it look like it it bounced off the bat and went into the crowd for a HR? I miss those
It could happen, but it would require some unique circumstances and perhaps a judgment call by the score keeper. In 2015 WS, KC player hit an inside the park HR without an error. It happened because the Mets outfielder made a try to field a difficult fly ball that then deflected off his glove to roll some distance away from any fielder. KC player made it home without a play. It was debatable whether it was an error by the outfielder or not, but it was reasonable to say no. If there was a scenario where a collision happened between two infielders trying to catch a bloop bunt (say, 3rd and ss) knocking them both out of the play, and the ball then rolls into shallow left field, and the outfielders are deep for whatever reason, or perhaps not paying enough attention. The 2nd baseman was holding 2nd for a possible play there, and the pitcher chases the ball rather than holding 3rd. The batter rounds 3rd at full speed as the outfielder picks up the ball and throws home. The ball is not well thrown enough and draws the catcher off the plate, and the batter beats the catcher's desperate lunge.

These are probably funnier to watch after a few beers.
I don’t care what you think, the most exciting play in baseball is the ‘little league home run’.
I bet this was a lot more common back when some of the fields had 500' fences.
There's a lesson to be learned here. When shit goes bad, maybe just... take a breath before you make it worse.
I knew going in this was going to be a bunch of errors. Having said that, it would have been cool if the guy on the Rays had lightning strike as he was heading for home, like "The Natural"
I wouldn't call those "home runs" more like bunt single and throwing errors by the infield and outfield.
I had the chance of doing this when I played little league. The sad part is my third base coach held me at 3rd when it was overthrown. I know I could've made it too
Fair enough. But I want to see some bunt home runs in which the defense made no errors!
Savage brick sports:Bunt home runs in BASEBALL. Shows bunt home run in softball
a standup bunt homerun. dayum
now that you have all watched this video, try to imagine how crazy an actual bunt home run would be WITHOUT any errors...
if you blow the throw to first just throw the ball into the stands once its recovered to stop the runner and only allow a +1 base
You're gonna regret using that Aphex Twin song when their publisher takes all your ad money
If you really wanted to impress me, you'd find a play where a guy bunted all the way against the shift and it went deep enough into the outfield that the player was able to come all the way around and score. That would be a true bunt HR.
Robinson Cano genuinely got a double that way once
Bunt Home Runs?? There were all, Bunt Singles, with Throwing Errors allowing the hitters to circle the bases!
We’re you really expecting a bunt to clear the Green Monster?
@@us-Bahn LOL Of course not! But a genius like you, was probably expecting something like that! Ohh News Flash!! The Green Monster isn't the same Monster as the one behind you Right Now!!! LOL I bet you looked!
@@kpro9560 😒 dumb reply. Go do your homework, clean up your toys and practice for your clarinet lesson.
Don’t see many bunts anymore in baseball especially since the pitchers don’t hit anymore in the NL. Baseball used to have more strategy but I still love the game.
Yo tuve la dicha de ver varios en la década de los 70 ya ahacerlo con mucha astucia⚾🇵🇷👏🪘📻🇺🇸👍🏟️📢
Fun, but they're not home runs.
swinging for the fences is totally overrated
Moral of the story, never expect the pitcher to be able to make a throw if they end up fielding it. No matter how many PFP's they do they'll still throw it away often
technically is a bunt single w errors but nun the less a bunt home run with only one error is impressive
I got a inside the park home run my senior year of high school after hitting a little grounder to the right fielder. It was the first at bat of the game.
Honestly, it's more feasible than one would think. Placing a good bunt and making the fielders rush to make a wild throw enables some extra bases, especially if no one can get to the ball quickly and the runner is especially fast on the basepath.
As a right fielder, you have 1 job when the ball’s in the infield: BE THERE FOR THE PAST BALL
Awesome vid.. Enjoyed it very much..
Moral of the story: If a batter bunts, don't throw a high ball to first base or the fabric of time will be ripped, everything will go wrong, and the runner will score
Wow, this is way more common than I expected
I like the part where they throw the ball into right field, and the battery runs home
I saw this dozens and dozens of times watching my nephew play tee ball
