- This video is about stihl ms 362 c chainsaw is it worth buying? You decide. I messed up in the first part of the video and called this saw a 262 but obviously we are looking at the 362. @stihlusa
362 is one of Stihl'sbest saws ever made. Love mine.
I’ve had one for several years no issues at all. I find it to be a very fast cutting saw also. My favorite thing about it is it always starts the way it should time after time.

That's why I like stihl. My 261 starts on third pull now 11 yrs. .
Should have bought the 462 but the 362 is an animal 😎

I'm gonna get a MS362 w/20" b&c soon. Kind of leaning towards the carbureted version. Not crazy about M-Tronics or Auto-Tune saws.
Either one should be good!
Just got a new 362 C and love it. Had terrible storms come thru Mcnairy county Tennessee Saturday before last. Haven't found anything it won't handle. I also have the Husqvarna 460 Rancher which is also a nice saw but so far i like my Stihl a little better.
Sorry you had bad storms! We get a lot in Oklahoma every year. However it’s nice to have a good saw to clean up tree damage. I’m Glad you like it.
@@4MRanch i have a lot of family in Oklahoma and worry about them and tornadoes all the time. They live in and around Mustang and up in Grand Lakes. We had 75 to 100 mile an hour straight winds come thru here. The destruction is nothing like I've ever seen before. It's not like a tornado path, it's wide spread thru the whole county and neighboring counties. The saw has definitely made things a little easier. Thank you for your review.

I just picked up a 362 with the yellow chain . cut through 6 cords of oak logs and could not believe how much power and speed. Came off of a Red 455CS Nice vid.. I'll see if I have the cold slide in this one.. going to be -10º tomorrow.

Does the bar oil adequately? I read reviews that say they don't?
Yes it oils great it can also be adjusted. It comes with the selector on E but you can turn it up. I turned my oiler up slightly

It’s a great saw
I mill with my 362 with a 30 inch bar. Not ideal, but the saw has just enough power for 23" wide rips. Amazing saw!
I like the saw as well you have a good one! Yeah I milled a few with it and it did good just a little to slow but I needed to do about 150 slabs of walnut so I went with the 661
Does it have any problems keeping the 30” bar oiled? I’m looking at getting a 362 with a 28” bar, but I’m worried about the pump not keeping it oiled good enough.
Biggest bar I ran on my 362 was a 25” it oiled no problem I ran it on the lower oil setting.
I've had mine for a little over a year...same model 2017 and its been great, I've had some operator error issues, a couple thrown chains but that was more me being in rush and not wanting to really torque down the chain before running it. I don't blame the saw. It can get heavy for me but I put a 16" bar on it if I'm clearing thick under brush so I don't toss my back out pretending I'm younger then I am. Its a great saw to me, but I'm coming from a Craftsmen and a Stihl 031 that had me spending more time working the carb then sawing if you know what I mean. Pour moi qui est pu essayer brièvement la MS 362 C-M pendant que j'étais a mon lycée (période de stage en entreprise) je n'en suis pas déçu bien au-contraire. Je conte biens en acheté une des que possible.
Maybe should have got the 462 but still I'm very happy with the 362😊
It is the 3rd saw. First comes the 241, then the 261 and then the 362.
What I did was drill out the bar oil holes... and the oiling is vastly improved ...... but I sent mine out to hotsaws101 to get “tuned up”.... I can’t wait to get it back ... the saw was good when I bought it but I can’t leave well enough alone... and that’s called a “rim sprocket” the non pro series has a fixed sprocket on the clutch drum..

That’s great it’s a good felling saw I used it to cut down about 40 walnut trees and never had a problem I ran the 25” bar and turned the oiler up to about 3/4 open. Thanks for watching my video please subscribe.
It's called a 'rim sprocket'. The other is called a 'spur sprocket'.
