Great diorama!!
Out of the world helpful hints ....thanks for sharing....Jack 👍
Thanks for posting this. I'm also a model railroader. I like to make buildings using balsa and bass woods. The best one I made is a coal tipple. It goes over two tracks that I can put three hopper cars on each. I use granulated real coal that's used in electric power generating plants. I have operating doors to load hopper cars. I used telescoping brass tubes and small jewelry chains to open the sliding doors and the coal goes down chutes into the cars.
Great job Joey on the tips you gave here for yet another great looking realistic diorama. Hat's off to the teacher!!!
Your video moves right along and doesn’t make you feel inept.
Thanks for the great tips. Great modeling too!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love how it all worked! 😎 Looks fantastic!

Lots of helpful tips. A great tutorial. Thanks.
Awesome tutorial. Getting ready to start laying down track on my first layout in 20 years and I am going to use your methods. Love the results!
What an awsome video!!! I like how you dont drag things out but are very informative at the same time. Thank you and keep it up...😎🔥💯

Thank you sir,Very nicely done!!
Nice work 👍
Impressive
Outstanding video! Love the updated version of your previous vid on weathering track, I was wondering if you were going to say the clown/dress it down bit :) oh for chalk, I did some searching after watching your original video and found red and black chalk line chalk in large bottles from a local big box store, have started weathering my flex track with that prior to laying on upcoming layout, results are terrific!
Great! Happy new year from Ulm, Germany!
Great video 👍 , Joey how about an update on the double helix layout.
COOL
sound like me I use oklahoma red red dirt. Only thing do is sift it I keep the larger pieces to add extra details and yet to see any 6 or 8 legged critters appear.
That's pretty awesome! Gets me closer to deciding to just get some Chinese made track with ugly gray concrete sleepers for my China railroad, and paint it. Did you ever expriment with chemically tarnishing rails?
Yeah that opening sequence was pretty believable as the real thing. Good work.
You can actually paint those model tracks? I legit always thought the train got its electric power through the track and covering it would cause the circuit to break.
CMDRFandragon as long as the rail head (the top of the rail) is clean paint free surface then the train will run
Great video Joey, thanks.
One question,, how do you get that great sound?
Those sounds are some that I have recorded over the years while railfanning. From video clips.
Great video, Joey! What camera do you use? Love to see it! Keep it up!
Hi Greg, filmed with cell phone Samsung S10 and GoPro hero, various clips.
What did you use to clean the track ?
Just light sandpaper. You can use a track cleaning block as well. Paint comes right off.
But yes we need Texture in our projects doesn't matter what scale you model but but keep it in scale remember to keep it in scale iam a retired railroad engineer and now I build fulltime models for museums I do railroading mostly O scale I just don't care about ho or n scale anymore I do a Wide variety of models .and this is my biggest concern with other people in the hobby is keep your work in scale I have special pigments that come in different sizes look to the model hobby company's they have so many different products that are amazing for railroading I like a company that is called VMS Vantage modeling solutions they have some awesome pigments don't use chalks please it's not the same as a good pigment use pigments they last for years and don't fade away like chalks .and remember to keep it in scale
