Airports have certainly been a place for the decade of the seventies to unfold its particular style with great clarity.

its depressing when you compare it with most new architecture after the 2000s, 2010s/2020s architecture is so boring compared to the 70s, (when people complain about older modern architecture its usually a 1950s or 1960s building, 1970s buildings were less simplistic as postmoderism was taking old and the symmetrical methods of traditional architecture was coming back in forms, many postmodern 1970s-90s skyscrapers are actually equally interesting as some early 1900s ones and feel like some sort of futuristic modern art deco fusion like the ally center in detroit or the at&t in Philadelphia )
even the "boring" rectangles like the world trade center were beautiful and super cool

@@crankfotton the civility disapeared when white people colonized everywhere and built ugly suburbs and big box stores so they can go to the strip mall and buy some plastic shit they dont need so they can keep up with the johnsons and be perfectly wonderbread with no culture while slaughtering millions of innocent people or forcing them to be part of white european/american culture because they were scared of people and cultures who were different.

@@waterenglish9501 it started when white urban planners intentionally redlined neighborhoods and built ugly highways and suburban sprawl to trap african americans in poverty forever so they can be in power forever, the ghettos exist because historically powerful white people wanted to opress marginalized groups and they didin't care to think ahead or how it would pan out over decades/years (redlining/highways were intentional and fully malicious while suburbs were intentional but even after segregation ended they were still used as the default urban design because of stupidity and ignorance and more subtle racism but also because they wanted to support the car companies wallets. , whine about it now, in 10-20 years your suburb will probably be demolished or retrofitted into a nice urban, diverse community and you cannot NIMBY it away anymore
