Don't buy sim cards at the US airport... Go to a store like Walmart or 7-11 or grocery store...there will be a kiosk or display case with all the carriers and MVNOs with cheap sims and load.
Ordered it from Amazon ahead of time last flight, I got 2 unlimited data sim cards for 30days .... and it was half the price of 1sim at Newark or JFK!!
