What a cold day. It was 6°C - 42.8°F, but the wind felt so cold. We had been to our favorite Italian restaurant in The Hague. Next time I will show more of the nice streets there but it was too cold now. Oh and Fred and I are good with each other despite sleeping on the couch, but I'm a very light sleeper. I hear everything and wake up quickly. Sometimes Fred saws whole forests together and no matter how many times I wake him up, he continues sawing afterwards. The sofa is not optimal, but it was cozy with Loulou & Coco. Have a great Sunday.

I grew up with a snoring dad. So usually my husband's log sawing doesn't disturb me.

I can relate, in my case though it's my wife's snoring which causes us to have even separate bedrooms. She can make the windows vibrate, lol, just kidding but I too sleep lightly and wake up constantly.
Been there...Done that ! Husband's snore can wake up the dead. Separate bedrooms has kept us married after 42 years.

It was so heartwarming to see Fred hold the duck. When I was a little girl growing-up in Provence., my aunt had a garden with rescued ducks, chickens and peacocks.
It's amazing how you get attached to them and they get attached to you. It was wonderful to be with them and to see them have a happy life such beautiful memories.💖

I’m also a light sleeper. I can wake up at anything. So I have to have a noise maker and wear ear plugs to bed. My husband hates it. Love how you brought the duck in for the beer tasting.
I have also tried ear plugs, but then I would like to hear the domestic sounds if everything is okay. Haha, Fred's snoring is not part of that. Yes Duckie is so adorable, I prefer to have him with me all the time now 🥰.
I also use rain/thunder sounds video on UA-cam to try and drown out husbands snores and it works if I turn it loud enough 😆 😴
When I visited Italy in1980, we went to visit my great aunt and cousin on their farm. They had the same kind of trees and cut off the limbs , cut them into small pieces and used it in the kitchen stove to cook. As for the bowls, they look great to me.

My son and his wife are visiting in your country now. They love it! They live in the USA - Arizona. They brought their fold up bicycles. Precious video!

They are in Amsterdam I think. They are 40 years old and love the cold for a vacation. They have been all over but your country is their favorite. His wife flies for an airline and he works in cancer research. They are health conscious and only eat clean and exercise constantly. Proud of them!

I LOVE your lettuce plates! I may be a bit prejudiced though - my kitchen is decorated with avegetable theme. I like your boots too - they look warm and tough. Time goes by so fast and they definitely have their teenage struggles and don't always want their parents to help or be present, but that's part of it. Oooh are you also looking forward to Spring? It's been very cold here in Hampshire 🇬🇧 as well, 5° 😨. One foot went outside the door this morning and immediately came back inside again! I love that the duck helped Fred with his beer tasting. Hoping that he gets a couple of new friends soon 💞.

Thank you 💛. They are pollard willows, every 2 to 5 years they must be completely pollarded so that the branches do not become too thick and it consumes too much energy for the tree. In a few months all new branches will grow again. Pollard willows are perfect wind catchers. Yes, normally they pay attention to nesting birds in this nature reserve, I don't know why not now. I think your Cabbage Leaf Bowls are just BEAUTIFUL ! I love them. To me they look like gorgeous, huge, green cabbage leaves....so...kitchy.....cute....artsy-fartsy.....I love them !!!
I would use the largest bowl for your beautiful salads, the middle bowl for stuffed cabbage or cabbage rolls ( I love them !), and the smaller one for olives, pickles, cherry tomatoes, relish tray ( ? ) .......

7:05 Oh Eveline - I love this type of pottery. 😍😁 I believe the style is Italian, and known as Majolica. My mom had a tea set in this cabbage leaf style, but lighter in colour and smaller leaves. I wish I still had it.

😊❤ my husband used to snore as well. Our Dr. Suggested adding a fish tank to our bedroom to add moisture to the air. Also, I put bowls of water on top of the floor furnace vents to add moisture to the rest of our home,especially in the months we have our furnace on.😊

Hi, Eveline! I think Toupee stole the show this time along with the gourmet bird food! The green salad plates looked very spring-like. Enjoy them. P.S. Snoring never represents anything good. It means that Fred’s airway is narrowing causing a restriction in his air flow. Men naturally have narrower airways than women. You have insurance, so it’s a good idea to have him see a sleep doctor. F.Y.I. Women are under diagnosed with sleep disorders more often than men. Fortunately, I had a doctor who listened to my complaints about being tired. I had a sleep test and was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. I use the CPAP and feel better. Before my sleep test, friends who were staying with me heard me snoring loudly and encouraged me to go to the doctor. I am glad that I did. It’s better to be safe.
Just curious: what kind of heating system in your house? Here’s a tip for Fred’s snoring: nasal strips on top of his nose. They make it easier to breathe. If that doesn’t work? Have HIM sleep on the couch!
We have a central heating boiler. We have renovated the house and insulated it well. Thanks for the tip, I'll order them right away 😂🙌🏼.

Haha I completely understand. Sometimes I like unusual things. Different than usual and Fred, Romy & Claire often have to get used to it. Or don't get used to it at all 😂😂.
I started sleeping on the couch around the time that my ex WOKE HERSELF AND ME UP snoring, and then when I told her that she was snoring, she said, "No, that was you." I was happier on the couch.

Who owns the trees? In many countries it is illegal to pollard while birds are nesting. You might check with local government.
