To add further on the Map Pins, which allies can see as well, you can also create custom waypoints for yourself that stay on the map itself (without putting a pin on screen while playing) to mark base locations or resource hotspots. You can choose the icon and color it however you like. Taming is wonderful now because you can track creatures you're actively taming. When you look/move away from them, the tracking icon will have a yellow and purple ring around it, yellow for the taming progress and purple for the remaining torp so you know how long you've got. Was taming a Therizino and had to run about 300m for narcs and could see these two rings all that way. Even more on that pin system, it's intuitive! Holding the middle mouse button lets you select what type of pin to place, but just clicking it when looking at something generates an appropriate pin for allies to see. If you just click while facing the ground, everyone sees a 'Go Here', but clicking on an enemy highlights them with an 'Attack' pin which makes it easier for friends who can't quickly see whatever you see. Lots of little QoL stuff in the game. Right clicking with a torch out putting it on the belt so you can use tools with a light source, cosmetics having their own tab (this will be amazing when we have our cosmetic items back lol, no more constantly recreating a folder every time we spawn!), several engrams now being merged or straight up removed for redundancy, I don't recall the 'Split-All' option for meat because I very clearly remember wishing we had that option and having to splits every stack down manually but that was a couple years ago so maybe they added it later in SE than when I last played it. But it's been a fun experience so far. Still a lot of crashes and bugs that definitely need fixing, but we've gotten at least one patch every day, so fingers crossed things smooth out. The most annoying bug I've had so far is tracking ally players glitches hard if they die or if the server restarts. It'll show their location upon server start/join as well as their current location, the icon will constantly jump between those two points, and the UI to toggle it on/off seems to break constantly so you either can't track your ally at all, or you're stuck with the jank. A shame because being able to track my ally when we're adventuring together instead of trying to see their name on screen within a certain range was always annoying. If they can fix this, I'll be happy. Well.. There's also the bug currently that light sources don't work on rafts. If their on when you join/start a server or move really far away and then come back, they work sometimes. But the second you toggle them off and back on, they no longer make light. Sailing around with standing touches, a forge, a wall torch, and can't see a thing in my little floaty cabin at night. Big sad.

Great video, as always! Regarding the babies, I haven't confirmed it yet, but I have a theory. If you kill the parent, and then claim the baby, you don't get any extra levels. This was extremely helpful, thanks!
These are incredible man
I was overwhelmed with happiness over the immense quality of life features added. Finally Wildcard has put forth the necessary additions to remove the hate from my love-hate relationship with Ark.
they pretty much just implanted several dozen mods that made those changed in the original ark so they can charge another $40 for a "enhanced game"
Cool, not paying for what should have been a free update. The sheep can get suckered into that one and I'll just take a chance on being a sucker when Ark 2 comes out.
So far the "Ascended" part of the title seems genuinely deserved. I was hesitant at the idea of buying the same game again, but this seems worth it.
wow amazing video thank you so much
I can't wait until this game is on sale and more optimised, I am very excited to play it :)
This is nice, some of these features make a lot of my mods redundant!
i am so glad they added a save game option. crashing is so much less of a problem.
In the thumbnail is that a force tamed Argentavis because you're floating over it with no saddle...?
Nope. Just smol man
Pro-tip, Double Tap M to open the new map UI instead of having to hit the map icon inside your inventory.
Basically s+ without s+ with dino tracker?
Great video . Very useful information.
Those are shale rocks, not limestone! They took their time to figure out where oil gets trapped😂😅 I’ve always loved the geology with this game
The building changes are an absolute godsend
hell yeah brother nice vid
Holy shit, did not expect this much quality of life stuff! Impressive
Bro bases are going to look so much cleaner
What a great list! Thank you, Raas, and THANK YOU, WILDCARD. It seems they HAVE been listening to us whine. LOL
Great video, as always!
Regarding the babies, I haven't confirmed it yet, but I have a theory.
If you kill the parent, and then claim the baby, you don't get any extra levels.
If you tame the parent, and then claim the baby, you get +50% bonus levels.
I haven't tested what happens if you pickup the baby, and take it out of render distance of its parent.
More science needs to be done.
Maybe you could make a video dedicated to babies.
love the Channel and your videos
Yo, the new indi grill looks amazing
This game was soooo needed
The lack of cables is a damn life saver.. i cant tell you how many things i put down and see "unpowered" and have to recraft things
I just lover so much ASA, i just hope some crash and optimization patches, ncie video btw
Hey raask, amazing video thank you for the tips! hey do you know if the industrial grinder still works the same or was it overhauled? i see that the toilet has change for a insta spoiled meat factory as well as other things! i don't have ASA but it has been bugging me now that i see that they made several changes from S+ and maybe they added some features of it??
Funny how pretty much all the gameplay comfort features added where pretty much already found among the most popular mods
These new changes are awesome🥰 you are the Ark king Raas🦖 love your work💚 keep up the great work mate👍
Honestly I only came across you waiting for xbox release, but its fuc*ing nice to hear a fellow
Brummy on youtbe! I've subscribed and I hope you make videos for xbox 👍🤟
Oh man! I’ve been loving playing ASA, it’s not as bad as people say it is!!!
My favourite feature is when it crashes and I can’t play it anymore ☺️
you earned a sub sir
So I thought this was a waste and a copy of all other videos! Gj mate! It’s not. And I was wrong! Great video sir
Im stupid excited over everything! I love this game so much
6:00 I'm so happy! I hated wiring electronics!
Exept the cryopods that we don't have at the moment, all the other things they change made the game a bit easier for all of us and especially new players. Gj
Wow he managed to find the 15 new things they added to the game
Thank you soo much raas for making this video, absolutely amazing. Im gonna memorize this stuff so when it drops on console ill be able to dominate. I feel like the baby mutations r a little broken but im only speaking from an official pvp standpoint
I don't like the saddles breaking down but everything else is cool
These QOL are actually awesome
*cries in playing ASA vicariously through UA-camrs*
you can double tap M for map to open the inventory map quicker
1:23 You could always make dyes from berries and eat them and feed them to herbivore dinos in Ark evolved. Are you saying there are new berries? The berries you showed at 1:27 just looked like reskinned renamed berries from evolved.
there are new berries
not sure if this is new or if i was just stupid but in ASA we are now able to pick up baby brontos with the argy. no idea how far it extends as it was our first baby on the server but we were able to pick it up
That's... interesting. That suggests that a baby creature starts out at a lower drag weight now, which increases as it gets older.
Ark SA seems to be filled with a lot of "this makes sense" changes. I love it!
I love the new building system.
i do miss being able to carry the exact trap in my pocket and placing it on the fly without stumbling through variations
But now you can put it back in your pocket
I've played alot of s+ so I'm used to that. It's placing the trap. Absolute Muppet show now.
Here is my call to learn the radial menu I guess
These features for the building alone make this the superior version of the game. Building feels now less of a chore.
I’m more excited for the new painting features. 😊
