Blinking Eye Animation in GIMP

**PLEASE READ, LINKS IN DESCRIPTION**
This is a tutorial on how to make eyes blink in GIMP, using an IMVU avatar, your basic brush, and the color black.
GIMP is a FREE picture-manipulation program, and can be fount at www.gimp.org
Video is dedicated to ConsisBarghest for giving me a big ego for a few days, and requesting something similar that I am unsure if I can do at the moment. I will see if I can do the lips moving though, it may take a while.

Thanks so much for making this tutorial. I did have to watch it a few times to get it right, as it went a bit too fast for me, and I had to rewind a couple of times to see exactly what items you were clicking on and where, but I believe I got it now. Maybe you can make some in the future where you describe each step you are making and why , just a bit slower so those who don't know anything about Gimp can better keep up with what you did , that would be even better. But, Great tutorial either way, please keep them coming! Thanks Again. :)

She actually does tell you, apparently you dont listen x:[ even tell's why what to do and why with the layers.... LOL some things you gotta learn by ur self...

Thanks, worked really well! I just changed the 50ms to 15ms for a smoother animation

I am confused! I see the second last frame was (duplicated) and added *i think to the last frame!? hmmm I know i am asking a fussy question, but i don't get why?

I finished my picture and got it to blink and everything, but every time I try to upload it to my account to set it as my profile picture, it wont let me. It keeps telling me the maximum size. I am sure that it is 160x220. But no matter what I do, it wont let me upload it. And I have uploaded a blinking picture on a different account before and I have done nothing different. Any suggestions?

I've made my person blink, and thats all working fine, but when I try to save it as a .gif it says that I have to save it the GIMP XCF Format. I have the new GIMP 2 btw, is this why? x

i have aquestio.. so am kinda new at this an the main readon why i use gimp its because i play yollive )a zynga game= and i try to do my own signature with animated eyes using gimp.. i only use 2 frames the one not blinkin and the one where my avatar is... simple its a simple wink but at the time of adding to the rest of the signature... as in the background... it blinks every one second even when i put the settings of the blinking for up to 6 seconds.. i need help on this :/ am still new...

ms = milliseconds, you were right the first time ^.^
I made my base (2000ms) the top layer (125ms) and the rest (75ms)
