I've missed out on so, so much in my life due to fear of failure and perfectionism, it hurts. It's something I need to work on because I shoot myself in the foot before I can even develop and learn from experience. Cheers to anyone struggling as well, here's to spreading our wings! Also, confidence =/= arrogance. Arrogance is so ugly.
I’ve watched this video twice now and plan to keep coming back to it, especially on days when I’m not feeling very confident. I really connect with the idea from the disclaimer that it’s okay to have off days without beating ourselves up. From what you’ve shared and my own experience, it’s clear that confidence starts with how we treat ourselves. Some people are lucky enough to have parents who set this up for them early on (I’m a bit jealous of that). For those of us who didn’t, it’s about unlearning negative self-talk and learning to be our own best friend (which feel REALLY REALLY alien at first). Thank you again for sharing!! 🤍🤍
I don’t usually comment but every tip she gave has helped me improve my confidence and self-esteem so much! Especially with the positive self talk. At first it felt forced but now it’s become my natural inner speech. I enjoy doing it every day especially in the mirror when I do something to improve myself such as dressing nice, putting on make up, going to the gym. It just takes time and for you to really wanna see a change in your life and surrounding yourself with people who want to see you win!!!
girl, thank you sm. I have a family that diminishes everything I say or do, and I’m a grown adult still feeling the same as I was when I was 15 years old… I stopped speaking badly about myself, stopped being self aware in the way that masks my negativity, and started valuing myself in small ways. Like, If I just finished cooking and cleaning, I will start saying “I’m a responsible person” “I am capable of taking care of myself”. Slowly building myself up to create value and a sense of self identity. I always felt some type of way about speaking highly about myself when I was conditioned not to believe it. But it’s important to respect yourself especially if nobody around you does it. ❤
I saw your video on TikTok and came running to your channel because this is something I don’t really see talked about I see all these videos about how to be confident and most of them say look in the mirror. Tell yourself you love yourself, but that’s not gonna work for everyone. So I’m glad you spoke on this thank u! And I will be subscribing 💕
Amazing video and I came to the same conclusion! Proving to yourself that you can accomplish something consistently and then applying that to multiple areas of your life. I hope you make more videos!
I always thought that to be confident at something then you have to fail at it the first time, because nobody is good at that thing the first time they try. Because it takes time and practice.
There was a sentence in here that just… unlocked something for me. 👀 Thank you! And I do have 2 advice. They relate to positive thinking/fake it til you make it part - if it feels forced, try it out with small things and connect it to something positive you already believe to be true. For example of the “I’m so stupid” if you believe you are funny, try thinking along the lines of “hey most funny people are actually really smart”. The other is useful anytime you’re facing a limiting belief - ask yourself who taught you that (and for bonus point, what are they getting because of that)? And then ask yourself if they carry enough "weight" in your life for you to believe that.
danisha, you are literally my favorite creator on the internet. the way you make your points so clear even for people like me (who is extremely naive and slower to understanding things) is an incredible skill. you're sensitive/delicate with the topics that deserve such sensitivity, and hard and stern with things that need a firmer approach. you're extremely realistic about everything you talk about, and always levelheaded, even when people are being critical of you. you make it known that you're not made of stone, but you're not easily shaken either! i admire you endlessly!
Danisha is by far one of thee most smartest based women on the internet. Like I have been following her on tiktok but I just feel youtube will do something amazing like to be able to walk and do things and have her help guide me as a young person is just so healing.

Oh my god! I totally did the same video and said the same thing! People confidence tips don't work for everybody.
The best thing about this video is that if it finds who it needs to reach it could literally save lives. I’m not even speaking hyperbolically.
Subbed, I love your delivery of the message and the message itself keep up the wonderful work ❤

So in order for you to be confident, you need to put on 3tons of make up? wtf is this?
