What a talent she is! great voice.
Katy Perry is acting like a junior high bully and Mommie Dearest at the same time.
She is.. but I could see in her eyes. She's challenging Sara Beth. She was Katy's favourite, you could tell. She could have won.
She is. But during all the performances, Katie is mesmerized.

She’s really good and Katy was rude to her.
I think she was angry someone without a real passion for show bizz had such a gift. But at the same time she wanted to give her a bit of stress during her performance, showing her what it would be like in the long run if this was gonna be something she wanted. At the end of the day, its like any job, you have to really want it and be willing to pay the price some professions have.

Wtf. There's tough love and then there's bullying. They should be encouraging her not telling her she's not passionate enough. "You've got a voice that could win this whole thing, but it's a long, hard road ahead. If we put you through you're taking someone else out, so you need to be 100% comitted."
That's the thing - she really didn't assure anyone in this audition performance from judges that this is her serious singing dream that she purposely wanna pursue..
More of a "karaoke fling" she does with her friends on the weekends, that she appears do be quite good at..
I do love her vibe in her singing voice
Although her body language - stressed, having fun, trying her all - something she's good at and wanted to give it a go..
But people's in those competitions are there to give their absolute BEST to win.. to just for a fling fun ;-;
It's good to have fun in what you do, but was it really her main dream?
@@mooncy219i disagree. The point of the competition is to find unknown talent. There she is. What they want is a polished performer, someone who's been training since she was 5 for this. She's not singing to show off her voice because she's singing like the radio cut of the song. Because she's not a professional. If they want a professional they should just audition from Juilliard. The way these judges are, Kelly Clarkson would have never won season 1.
I don’t think there’s really anything wrong with this not being her “dream”. I agree that those people MAYBE deserve it over someone who singing isn’t their dream, but she has talent. And it seems to make her happy. Loretta Lynn was nervous/anxious because she was a mom too. And her husband had to push her to help give her the drive to do it, because she didn’t think she was that good and she was happy just being a mom. RIP Loretta. Also RIP Amy. Sara sounded just like her, certainly honored Amy!
“KP” being a bully, she did not show any respect for this talented mother/singer. She’s full of herself & does not deserve to be paid $25 million per season. She needs some coaching herself… “LR” could teach her a thing or two

You completely missed the point. She's telling her to GET SERIOUS AND LAY IT ALL ON THE LINE because everyone else behind her is going to take no prisoners. It's now or never. Plus she voted yes for her after Lionel voted NO, so it was KP that actually saved her with her YES vote.

To not recognize that talent on the first song? 🤷🏼♀️ Sad for every one of those judges. She needed encouragement, not to be knocked down. She was perfect. How about not only doing this for herself but for her family approach may have worked better.

I didn't see all of this audition so I'm only throwing out a theory like spaghetti at a wall. Sometimes people don't let themselves dream of what they truly want deep down, because something in their life made them believe it wasn't possible, and in those cases... even considering that dream is painful. So, try not to be so quick to hate on someone or put them down simply because they haven't let themselves dream yet. She wouldn't be able to sing like that if she doesn't love to sing, and if she doesn't have the heart to be a performer, she won't make it to the Lives. The people who will make it, are going to make it through the audition round with or without her there.
I know the feeling because my parents crushed my dream but I'm doing my best to support and make my kids' dreams come true.
Sarah Beth is an amazing young lady with a beautiful voice. To be honest I like her voice a lot better than Katy Perry.

Wow. She finally opened up a few big notes at the end. Ya she has a great voice and personality. I love her. If I was her I would spend the next year dialing it in and start thinking she has a shot to make it. And her kids would love her for it. Yep total star she just needs to find some great tunes that work with her personality and voice. And of course the switch needs to turn on in her inner self and becomes hungry for it. I hope she does

Being at home raising our littles, laying down our life for the sake of our family’s lives is what true love is. The seed has to die before anything can grow! People are more important than things. What a blessing that your husband and kids have such a kind, honest woman, and beautiful voice back at home with them. The Lord didn’t give you this precious gift for others to trample on but for His glory! Give that dream to Jesus Christ and see Him use it in ways these 3 and other couldn’t even imagine.

Sara is right here on YT and Facebook and most social media and she's absolutely great. I've talked to her on Facebook actually. She still has that sweet demeanor and is just an amazing singer now. So confident in her voice now and she can really belt it out. She gives me Janis Joplin shivers sometimes and when she does a Janis song like Me and Bobby McGee, it's uncanny. She's actually better than Janis was, she has more power and clarity. Sara has a very powerful voice, she just needed the confidence.
People not realizing how hard it is for someone to have to judge these contestants and choose only a few from the so so many. Katy did her job and she brought out the best of her.

Personally, somebody who can’t even write their own music should not be able to judge other people’s music. I mean seriously the producers are the ones who should have their names on all the albums because they’re engineering the sound picking the right song that was written by somebody else and telling them how to sing.

Her voice and persona is amazing. The only good judge was the white guy. Katy Perry can kick rocks! She's just mad because this girl has so much potential!

no no no, KP is not threatened by her, for that to be true they would have to be competing and they're not even remotely close to that. The reason KP is acting that way is because to make it in that industry, you have to be abandon everything except your one talent and focus 100% on it because that is all the competition, in Sara's cohort, does 18 hours a day. THIS is how people sell their soul, by trading all of the potential good experiences you would have had, So choosing her family first shows real character.

I think Katy was right - Sarah is like the most talented one in the class who just doesn't care enough (about American Idol). Incredible singer, just needs to expose her soul a little - Katy realized this very early. There was no apprehension due to her singing abilities - just her desire to actually be there. Ultimately they were proved correct when she left.
Full disclosure: I think Sarah made the right choice by leaving. She should do it her own way

THEY ALL DONT BAIL FROM HOME TO LIVE THEIR DREAM SARA BETH HAD CHILDREN SINCE 18 THAT CHANGES HER SCOPE BUT WITH THE RIGHT RESOURCES SHE CAN LEARN TO UNDERSTAND SHE CAN HAVE BOTH
