- So many times in the English speaking world does Garabandal get misinterpreted. Many just think of an apocalyptic, end of the world kind of apparition. The main message however is one of hope! The forgotten message of Our Lady of Garabandal is that she is a Mother who is closer to us than we think.

I stayed in Garabandal in 1981 we stayed with relation of Conchita the village was remote, no running water, we washed hair in well. I was only 11 but I know that my family who came have been given graces and protection through our lives and we have kept our Catholic faith albeit mistakes made on the journey ...I long to go again. Father Payton came to our school in the 1960s to pray the rosary with us.
The rosary brings life into a marriage. I have four kids 9 and under, two with autism. I know all about being busy but it’s so important to pray as a family. Some days we are able to pray a rosary together. most days it’s a decade. Then there are days it’s just three Hail Marys. The point is to pray. The kids whine and complain and fidget but we don’t let that stop us. “There was a marriage feast in Cana and Mary and Jesus were invited” that’s such a powerful sentence. It says so much. It tells us that Jesus and Mary won’t force themselves into our marriages/families, they want to be invited and in being invited they will bless the marriage. Don’t get me wrong there will still be trials and crosses but with Them you’ll be able to weather the storms of life

@@avaangel433 thank you 😊. My daughter is high functioning and she absolutely loves momma Mary. My son, who is nonverbal and will be 5 years old in July, is obsessed with rosaries. He destroys them but he loves them lol. When we pray he paces, hums loudly and plays with a rosary. If it weren’t for having our lady and our lord in our lives things would be different. Any good that we do is a testimony that pray really is the glue in a family. It makes sense why it’s so hard to do. the devil works hard to get families not to pray because he knows when they don’t that they are easy prey.

Time has shown very clearly that what those visionaries said, about the Priests etc, has come true. Back then in the 60s you can understand how they came under such scrutiny as no one dared speak badly of the church. This in itself is enough evidence for me that Garabandal is true without any doubt.
Yes even communion in the hand which is a sacrilege ....when Conchita told her mother that this is what Our Lady told her ......her mother couldn't believe it ....as it was unthinkable at that.time ......but lo and behold ....the sacrilege started with the US bishops ....that evil lot ....then spread throughout the world

Blessings, gratitude. As far as I know, Medjugorie is still under investigation, faithful were warned that they cannot even share, go visit unless it is to attend Holy Mass, Adoration, pray the Holy Rosary, confess, receive the Sacraments, but NOT related to the apparitions there. Also, that a Bishop in the USA had prohibited to go to Medjugorie related to the apparitions. Some Priests have suggested to visit Shrines already approved, some even closer, near us. Let us be obedient, patient, humble, prayerful while waiting, trust the Lord. God bless, guide, protect, forgive, save us all. 👰💒🙏

I heard about Garabandal apparitions, but no one spoke about the messages.
Please pray for my daughters that I have brought up in the faith. They both married two men that come from a broken marriage. Their fathers were abusive. They married in the church so their husbands got their sacraments. But after my beautiful grandbabies were born they started having problems. Like my son in laws don’t want the responsibility of being a father. One of them states he didn’t want children. Please pray that Gods will be done. They both are separated now and one has filed for a divorce a year ago. 🙏🙏

The start is hard to follow. Also do we know what happened to the objects which were kissed by Our Lady? Are there any in Europe or even the UK? A priest told me not to call Our Lady 'Mum'; perhaps he thought it lacked proper respect.

I thought the Yugoslav Conference of Catholic bishops declared there was “ nothing supernatural “ occurring at Medjugorje. Doesn’t this now mean the matter is closed ? The bishops are the final authority on apparitions.

Please check something. It has been said that the statues of our Lady of Medjugorje are different than others such as Our Lady of Fatima. In her statues her feet are visible because she will crush the head of Satan. Not so with the statues of Medjugorje. Some say it is because it is not Our Lady. I always followed medjugorje but now I'm hesitant. Father can you please explain this. Thank you

Dear Father Luke... There is no connection between Medjugorje and Garabandal. On 2 October 1997, Protocol Number 1267/97, the bishop of Mostar, Bishop Ratko Peric officially condemned the apparitions as false. Bishop Ratko Peric wrote, "On the basis of the serious study of the case by 30 of our 'studiosi' [academics] (well three Commissions), on my episcopal experience of five years in the Diocese, on the scandalous disobedience that surrounds the phenomenon, on the lies that are at times put into the mouth of the "Madonna", on the unusual repetition of "messages" of over 16 years, on the strange way that the "spiritual directors" of the so-called "visionaries" accompany them through the world making propaganda of them, on the practice that the "Madonna" appears at the "fiat" (let her come!) of the "visionaries", my conviction and position is not only non constat de supernaturalitate but also the other formula CONSTAT DE NON SUPERNATURALITATE of the apparitions or revelations of Medjugorje."

A friendly word of advice... you and your community should be trying to marry Garabandal with Approved Apparitions like Quito, La Salette, Fatima and Akita. However, endeavoring to make any connection with condemned or false apparitions like Medjugorje is destructive to the cause of Our Lady of Garabandal.
false apparitions like Mejdugorje??? Church has not approved them YET however, process is going on, place was approved as official pilgrimage site, and church is working on it. AND there were already some votings that show that first apparitions will be approved very soon. One for all = look at Marys meals = this is fruit of Medjugorje. It is acctualy very same story as in Garabandal - some bishops and faithfull keep denying it... I was in Medjugorje last year on youth festival with my husband and son. There was many Bishops and over 400 priests - Cardinal Sarah for example. To spit your poison on something you know nothing about is work of devil. I'll pray for you.
