"Goodbye May Seem Forever" MESSED my entire life up. The Fox and the Hound came out very soon after my first dog passed away. That song will forever be associated with that most awful, gut-wrenching, heart-shattering pain and grief of losing him. I cannot hear that song without immediately ugly crying, even all these years later.

And I can't see the word mimi without nearly bursting into tears because it reminds me of my 2nd dog who died when he was 16 years old. That was his nicknames and so was gimmy and and gimmer and gimme and mimi and memer awhile his name was Gimily he was a border terrier and I loved that dog with all my heart and soul and very core of my whole entire fiber of my being. My cat Frank too same thing he had nicknames were franklin old blue eyes keeker keekie and sir mister meowsalot I miss him and Gimily oh so very much. That and Bob my other cat too he had no nicknames that were pet nicknames for him except I called him one time mister gummy cat because he had no teeth left in his mouth from old age. And my pug dog Snickers her nicknames was miss snory pants and miss piggy and snickerdoodle. I miss her very much too and my boxer dog Chauncey he was known as kangaroo dog from how he ran in leaps and bounds like a mixture of a kangaroo and a gazelle and a impala & deer combination combined.
Rip all my animal friends and my first two dogs Sugar and Chroder their nicknames were goldie and dirt lover because the other dog liked eating dirt.
And my other dog and cat friends Gypsy and Buddy and Sam and Coco and Smoky and Squeaky and Bauchy and Gracie too.
The one that always gets me,is from Mary Poppins,Feed the birds,tuppence.
"No Way Out" from Brother Bear will always hit me hard 😢

Fox and the Hound always has me crying.
"Someone's Waiting for You" gets me every time I hear it, and has since I was a little girl (I'm 48 now). I used to also sing "Baby Mine" to my kids when they were babies. Love that song! I can listen to it without crying easier than I can watch it.

I am a huge Frozen fan, so when I first heard The Next Right Thing I thought the music was awful then when Frozen 2 released, after I saw it, that music hit me right in gut... I was truly sobbing and I wasn't expecting that...

"Someone's Waiting for You" could also be for Animals at shelters who wait to be adopted too.
Kathy singing "Very Good Advice" and breaking down probably brought Walt and the rest of his staff to tears and Walt probably gave her a comforting hug afterwards.
She also sings "Your Mother and Mine" beautifully. She transformed from a terrified little girl to a comforting mother figure.
9:56 This song for me will always be the anthem for a Pet’s funeral.

I’ll Try is my favorite Disney Childhood Song Ever. Still moves me no matter how many times I missed those days
In Lilo and Stitch it was originally planned on ending with Lilo being taken away. As Nani sings a song called our bond will be forever. While the credits play. And it was supposed to have an after credit scene where Nani is trying to figure out how to work a spaceship. Her plan was to take Lilo back by force and blast off into space. Stitch helps by piloting the ship. The song has never been fully released. But this is the only known part of it:

I will save you from this fate.
( the song is accompanied by slow string instruments with a corrupted cord echoing Nani’s fall into desperation to save the only thing that reminds her of her mother) I can see why it wasn’t possible to have it end that way. You can tell that song would have basically ripped everyone heart out and have it shattered.
Love "I'm still here" and "Sally's song" and yes, pretty much everything song on the list makes me cry.

When she loved me gets me every time. Just seeing the joy in Jessie's eyes and cuddling up to Emily in the car ride, thinking she was going to be played with again... just to see her getting crushed they the whole of the donation box. Cuts so deep.

2023 was such a hard year for me, and after finally watching Frozen 2, I was torn apart hearing The Next Right Thing. It became a mantra for me, one that still holds true to this day.
Todd and Dumbo yes, I was sad when I was young seeing those scene but still sad now.
Every time I hear these songs, they bring tears into my eyes.
Hits me in the feels on TV or on the DVDs or on Disney Plus
Do You Want To Build A Snowman, The Next Right Thing and Remember Me hits me Right in the heart, just the emotions pouring out of the character.

Not on this list, but "You'll be in my heart" from Tarzan always makes me cry when I hear it as it was the song we played at my dads funeral; though not entirely a sad song by nature, it did come after Tarzan lost his parents and Kerchack and Kala lost their child both to Sabor.

I liked this great video today even with feeling sadness already my first long lasting relationship I had for the past 3 years ended yesterday. In person relationship became rough. She asked me if we can just be friends I said yes we can be friends me just wanting her to be happy. These are sad songs indeed.
I had to pause a few times, but I lost it with the Fox and the Hound. God that movie has me absolutely soaked up in tears no matter how many times I see and hear that part.
There are others that get me emotional, but that one gets me the most. That one and Baby Mine from Dumbo has me choking up in absolute tears.
Personally Go the distance and No way out are gut wrenching these song so innocent as child listening to it as an adult you see deeper and more beautiful message

These are all great, heartbreaking choices. Maybe there should be one of these done that comprises non-Disney movies. Films could include Quest for Camelot, Pound Puppies and the Legend of Big Paw, The American Tail movies, The Land Before Time movies, the All Dogs Go to Heaven movies, etc.
Fact, the next right thing from frozen 2 almost dont go true because it was almost to dark for a Disney song

Actually, no one should ever pretend to be someone else, regardless if you make the worst or the best decision. With Brother Bear, it was ALSO a lesson for Kenai to see that himself can be the villain, and not the creatures he use to hate.

Also "Will the Sun Ever Shine Again?" never gets any love because it is from a movie that doesn't deserve it. Alan Menken has said the song was originally written in response to 9/11.

I am shocked When Love is gone is not on this list.
It is the saddest Disney song to date to the point it was infamously cut from _The Muppet Christmas Carol_ as it upset too many children. But it was reinserted in 2022 to mark the film's 30th anniversary.

How is Do You Wanna Build A Snowman sadder than The Next Right Thing? Do You Wanna Build A Snowman only got depressing towards the end of the song specifically when Agnarr and Iduna were killed while The Next Right Thing is sad from beginning to end. The Next Right Thing should have made the top 10. Heck, even top 5.

Brother Bear is an underrated gem. Phil Collins was incredible for the music in this film and "No Way Out" is no exception.
Baby mine and goodbye may seem forever are perfect reflections of the emotions parents and children have when the child moves away for the first time. I remember when I went to college and then graduate school, I had moved 8 hours away from home and couldn’t see my family but on holidays and summer vacation. I remember the emotions were extremely high when we had to part but there was a catharsis in knowing we would see each other again.
I’m glad “Baby Mine” was #1 on the list. “Dumbo 1941” has GOT TO be the shortest, but also SADDEST animated Disney movie ever. And here’s my list of Disney/Pixar songs that I think are emotional, including instrumentals, and sometimes the scene that goes with that song is ALSO emotional:
1- “Desert Moon”(Aladdin 2019). This song is SUCH a BEAUTIFUL love ballad. It may have been deleted from the actual movie, but it’s on the soundtrack and in the bonus features. This song is emotional in a good way, just because of how BEAUTIFUL it is. I have no problem singing it, but CAN’T LISTEN to it without breaking down.
2- “I See The Light”(Tangled)- Again, this is a BEAUTIFUL love ballad that turns into a duet at the end. Much like “Desert Moon”, I have no problem singing this, but ALWAYS get emotional when I listen to it.
3- “Never Called a Master Friend”(Aladdin 2019)- This may be an instrumental, but that doesn’t mean it’s not sad. What makes it pretty sad is that it plays in the background of the HEARTBREAKING “What Have I Done” scene where Aladdin refuses to set Genie free.
4- “Always There” (Lady and the Tramp 2)- Where do I even begin with this one? Both that scene and song are just SO sad.
5- “Dog Pound Howl”(Idk the name of that song)(Lady and the Tramp). It isn’t really the song that’s sad, it’s really the scene that’s sad. This scene takes place at a dog pound, so it’s basically an animated version of those HEARTBREAKING animal shelter commercials, which I can’t watch because they’re THAT sad.
6- “Blue Beyond”(Fox and the Hound 2)- Once again, it’s really the scene that’s sad. Copper and Todd are both depressed in this scene, Todd from accidentally getting Copper fired from the band, and Copper about getting fired. This song playing in the background makes you feel bad for both.
7- “All Time Chump”(Hercules). Anything from that movie usually makes #1 on my lists, since that movie is my favorite animated Disney. However, this is an instrumental. It may be short, but that still doesn’t mean it’s not sad. Just like “Never Called A Master Friend” this one plays in the background of the end of the shocking and pretty sad “What Have I Done” scene where Hercules angrily turns on Phil.
8- “Our Town” (Cars)- Both the song and scene are sad. The song is just a sad ballad, and the flashback scene it plays during is pretty depressing.
9- “Baby Mine”- Dumbo. Like I said, this is the SADDEST animated Disney movie ever. Both the song and scene are sad, but the scene is WAY sadder.
10- “No Way Out”(Brother Bear)- Again, both song and scene are sad, even though the scene is WAY sadder. It makes you feel SO bad for Koda, who you know is now heartbroken.
11- “Out of Thin Air”(Aladdin and the King of Thieves)- This song is BASICALLY this movie’s “A Whole New World”, cause it’s performed during a magic carpet ride. However, this song is WAY more emotional, but only because it’s a BEAUTIFUL love ballad. Aladdin’s verse also makes this song kind of sad, but it’s mostly a BEAUTIFUL love ballad.
12- “One Jump Ahead(Reprise 2)”(Aladdin 2019). Both reprises may be short, but that doesn’t mean they’re not sad. Sure, the first reprise is sad, but this one is WAY sadder, mostly because of what Aladdin is saying, which is that he can no longer keep up the Prince Ali act. He’s got to reveal himself as Aladdin, even if it means losing everything he’s worked so hard for. That song is also sad because I’m sure, along with me, a lot of people can relate to it, and I mean the entire song:

What makes this reprise even MORE sad is that Aladdin performs it RIGHT after the HEARTBREAKING “What Have I Done” scene where he refuses to set Genie free.
13- “Proud of Your Boy”(Aladdin on Broadway and Aladdin 1992)- This song isn’t just sad, but ALSO just beautiful. We can DEFINITELY all relate to it. And again, I have no problem singing this, I just can’t listen to it without breaking down.
And finally,
14- “If I Never Knew You” (Pocahontas). This song is just a BEAUTIFUL love ballad. I’ve only listened to it about ten times, including while watching the movie on DVD, and it makes me emotional EVERY time.
