When I sang in the church choir, if I had an issue for whatever reason with my voice I would just sing more softly. I'd do that if I wasn't sure of the song too, like if I hadn't been in practice and didn't know the song well. What if Peter were to sing very softly so he was barely heard and the other kids' voices rather drowned his voice out? It wouldn't mess up the recording and he'd still have a part in it. Later on when his voice improved he could sing with full voice.
Let's suppose one of them was a horrible singer to begin with. Would you still want him/her in the group? I have zero musical talent. I would not be upset at all if the musical members of my family excluded me. In fact, I'd consider it good judgment on their part.@@loveforeignaccents
Okay, let's try another analogy. Let's say a high school track team picks four runners for a 4 x 100 relay race. The day before the race, one runner breaks his ankle. Do you still let him run because you had announced him as a member of the team?@@loveforeignaccents
If they're going to lose the money if they don't record at all, just be a good sibling and have him record it with you; it would be a great memory for years to come, get lots of laughs out of it when you're older... and I'm sure some people would buy it anyhow. Could have been kind of a Weird Al kind of thing.
It's amazing that they could write a new song, write the complete musical arrangement, hire a band to play it and record the music track......all by Friday. And with absolutely NO music al background or training!!!😂
