I appreciate that there are people with the disposable income to keep your VERY talented staff employed. The skill and craftsmanship that goes into these builds is worth every cent.
Love that you're encouraging people to go out and make things. It's the best way to learn. In the last 30 years the most fulfilling moment I've had is when I made my first pair of leather shoes.
I love your ethical workmanship!!! When I dream of owning a custom car I've disregarded Foose and other famous "hotroders" (no disrespect) and I drool over your masterpieces because of the quality!!! You are the man Mr Ward!!! Love and respect from Ireland!!!
Ha! Amazing build! You probably don't remember, but in the mid 90s, you guys did a mini restoration, interior and suspension, our our FJ62. We were just getting over our son's baby goo smearing all over the Land Cruiser - like Smarties and other candies all inside the cabin! So cool to see how you've grown over the years! My kid is now 35 and now I have an FJ Cruiser, looking at 198K miles..hmmmm...?
I believe Washington blue first appeared in that name on the Model A Ford and the first year may have been 1930, although 1929 may have happened. Beautiful color for this truck. Lovely interpretation!
Hello. Just before you said it I was thinking the same, this is one of the nicest color combinations I've seen on your builds. I love that blue and the leather is incredible. I dig the jacket as well, nicely crafted. Always a pleasure to see your builds, actually a privilege to get to enjoy these videos and see amazing vehicles. I would prefer a manual transmission but wouldn't say no to this truck. I could get used to an auto pretty quick. :) Thank you for sharing your time and talents.
Seamless integration of classic style with contemporary performance! ICON continues to define RESTO-MOD builds. And I should add even more incredibly at scale without compromising quality. Amazing!
jonathan…again you demonstrate your keen sense of design and amazing exploration of textures …not only with the incredible truck, but your hand revamped leather jacket …you are truly inspiring! i’ve been wanting to get a commercial sewing machine , mostly to use for sail making, but watched a tutorial video and became overwhelmed with the whole complexity of it…i think i will borrow my buddy’s that he has offered and give it a go…thanks to you man!
Jonathan, you are one of my hero’s! A true modern day, “renaissance” man! Awesome truck, as always! I hope to one day be able to become a customer, however if not, thank you for sharing brother!!!
My dad purchased a 1954 GMC pickup from a friend who was the original owner. The truck had dark blue paint and a HydraMatic transmission. It was sold in 1970 in favor of a Chevy C-10 pickup which was better suited to haul his slide-in camper.
Another awesome original with classic feels. One little thing that caught my eye for no reason was the Ford brake pedal. Maybe its the one generic thing on the build and I attribute it to Ford. Anyway, yet another one I'd love but would have to hit the lottery to justify. Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful truck! The color combo is absolutely gorgeous, and overall, a great build. Except for the transmission. This needs a nice, well-geared manual 5 or 6 speed. I just LOVE your power window controls! And the steering wheel is perfect and appropriate!
Gorgeous truck! Love the old school, modern drivetrain, and your attention to detail, as always. Love your jacket too! There really isn’t anything you can’t do! Keep up the great work!
Just amazing detail and forward thinking that goes into these builds. I know exactly what I would do if I had the budget to have ICON build my dream cars 😊, yes cars.
A lot goes into R&D to be able to repeat these at such high quality. We would love to expand to do those, just need the interest to fund such investment. Thx
Wonderful truck. Beautiful color combination. Knowing your passion for leather, I just heard that comment about the jacket, I was curious about the boots. Great color. Maker? Style and color?
Bravo, Quite literally the first full resto-mod Chevy truck i've seen that didn't rob the truck of its amazing original look. I think if you're gonna throw a bunch of modern tech at an old car, you atleast gotta maintain the look, otherwise why the hell did you buy an old vehicle just to modernize the hell out of it, just go buy a new vehicle.
Hey Jonathan love the project and thanks for sharing it. Question did the finished project get Icon aluminum sport pedals before shipping our did the costumer decide on stock pedals?
😂Yeah, car enthusiasts love to spend time and talking about tuning their cars. I plugged it in….just not very exciting. I’ve got nothing against EVs but they are a little boring.
I mean, incredible doesn’t even seem like a good enough word. I don’t know what other option you would have, but when is the LS/LT engine going to be played out?
Now, the build I'd love to see is a 3100 done JUST like this one, but with a 4WD system under it, manual transmission, and a lift only 2 or 3 inches higher than stock.
I love the upgrading of these old trucks, but lowering them seems stupid. Now you can't drive them in some places, and they can't be used as trucks. Keep them at stock height.

Whilst I would personally prefer a stock 1950's truck I must add that this is a job especially well done!

Wow, thanks!
You Kats, are the real dream makers! You’re the Most!
💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙 3100 my favorite truck and this is beautifully done. Worth every penny your asking for. You basically built a new truck.
This guy and his crew build unbelievable beautiful rides for a guy started with zip !
Those trucks are such a beautiful design! Love the color on this one!
Nailed it again J. Beautiful rig and that color! On point for sure.
nothing but the best on every detail!

Absolutely beautiful. You guys build the coolest stuff and i love the lizard, super cool and unique, Fun too!.
It’s cool that your jacket matches the interior.
EDIT: amazing, you made it.

Jonathan and ICON priorities are very sound. Top shelf color coordination, thx guys.
lol made a jacket out of the left over leather … that’s awesome
A dark chocolate brown or dark tobacco would look great for the interior too.
Absolutely beautiful blue exterior paint color.

amazing truck, i mean, sports car identifying as a farm truck. coolest coat and activity recommendation
I think this is my favorite build yet Jonathan, beautiful truck. Any chance you want to share the paint code you used on this truck?:)
Once again I thank you for sharing your creativity with us.
I love that dark blue exterior paint.

incredible truck, insane level fit and finish.
My 68 impala was painted 77 Ford green beautiful truck
Very well done, she’s a real beauty.
Beautiful Truck.
Love it!
I see that your company upgrade the builds as technology progress. Wow
Jacket is magnificent!
Gorgeous truck! Love the old school, modern drivetrain, and your attention to detail, as always. Love your jacket too! There really isn’t anything you can’t do! Keep up the great work!
What a cool truck. Love it as a daily driver.
9:47 same❤
Beautiful truck.
Fabulous build. Fabulous effort.
Just amazing detail and forward thinking that goes into these builds. I know exactly what I would do if I had the budget to have ICON build my dream cars 😊, yes cars.
Was just thinking a very fine white pin stripe would have went well with the colors.
Yeah I know its burgundy but it's close enough to red. 😎 🇺🇲🥰
In all ways, outstanding. Great job.
You are my men sir, thanks for the job!!
Beautiful Jacket. Trucks pretty nice too.
You did it again.
Awesome truck!!!
Beautiful build!👏👏❤
…looks like a Ford style rubber brake pedal cover (to match the Washington Blue paint of course ) nice work guys -
beautiful build man🤘
The tires 🛞! What size?
If I ever come into some decent money I am buying an Icon truck, probably an old Blazer
WTH
Dig the Theater velour
Reminds me of the 60s watching Kelly’s Hero’s
So so good
INCREDIBLE!!
Stunning!
Beautiful truck❤. What size wheels and tires?
Very nice sir!!! Why only the '49-'54. I was asking, cause I'm a 55-59 guy, especially the '58-'59 Apaches!

Masterpiece
Wonderful truck. Beautiful color combination. Knowing your passion for leather, I just heard that comment about the jacket, I was curious about the boots. Great color. Maker? Style and color?
Customs from Lucchese thx!
Looked into their product before. Gonna have to look into that. Thanks so much... Looking forward to more excellent content.

Beautiful, Timeless and classic. Can anybody help me out here? I don't see a spare tire. The gas tank occupies where the spare tire is supposed to be.
Hi Jonathan where is the spare tire located
Шикарная работа!
Very beautiful truck. Love it. Could you do the same or similar to a ‘46 Chevy Truck?
For sure! Would love to. Thx
@@ICON4x4Design Happy to hear. How would I go about getting more info on cost?

Client wanted the more subtle pedals. Thx
Are you looking at doing a crate EV version of these? As ULEZ get more and more common, these V8 powered conversions will become less and less usable
😂Yeah, car enthusiasts love to spend time and talking about tuning their cars. I plugged it in….just not very exciting.
I’ve got nothing against EVs but they are a little boring.
Is this for sale? If not can an identical one be built again? Thanks. Great Channel
That rattle would drive me NUTS
Me too! Found it and killed it!
The truck is a masterpiece. Like everything you do. Where did you get that hat? As a fellow gray-beard, I loved it.
I made the hat! Thx
The triangle windows needed to be chrome also
Fantastic⚡️⚡️⚡️
I mean, incredible doesn’t even seem like a good enough word. I don’t know what other option you would have, but when is the LS/LT engine going to be played out?
I suppose when they stop being epically reliable and easy to service and source parts for!
The curved windshield was 54 and 1st series 55. FYI
How long to make?
nice truck but i would have went with a light blue interior
Any estimate of a quarter mile time?
...and for $45k, this can be your "bespoke and customized" Chevy Thriftmaster!!!
I’ll take ten!
❤
Hi Jonathan please where is the spare tire located?
No spare but two cans of fix-a-flat!

Well. I would like to have a jacket like that. What will you charge me for that?✅
