I’m the antithesis to this! 😂 I am about to turn 60. This year I am running 10 races! 3 marathons (including Pikes Peak!) and 7 Ultras of varying lengths and terrain. My training has overlapped for the past 4 months and I’ve been injury free, setting PBs in every distance and my VO2 Max has climbed from 49 to 53! We humans are so different yet so similar. Always important to vary terrain and speed for strength.

See a lot of people aiming straight for the marathon/ultras when they get into running. I've seen major improvements by getting better at shorter distances and taking that version of myself into longer distances. All thanks to your videos, keep up the great work! 🙏🏾

Hi bro! I have really serious question. Is zone 4 running makes fat burning or I will just stick to Zone 2? My 2nd question is the Negative Split training effective? I hope you can help me for my question. Thank you so much!!❤

I have a PB of 22:30 from 4 months ago for the 5k I want to run a 1945-19:55 in 3 months how do I do it. I've tried doing intervals at goal pace it hasn't worked. Like my most recent was 200m repeats and I could only do six before I stopped. So I decided to do threshold training at 4:30-4:35pace or 12.6-12.8 km/h for 6 × 5 feels pretty good manageable and don't feel as fatigued. So my question is should I continue with the threshold or try the intervals out even though I cant do that many but just increase the volume each week as I get fitter. Please answer my question would be much appreciated 🙏.

Just so I have this right: You can hold 6x5 minutes at 430-435 pace?

@@leegrantham yes pretty almost effortlessly a nice tempo pace. It's like a 6 or 7 out of 10 effort level

Do you have or could you do a brief video to explain hill repeats vs hill sprints for a flat race 5K/10K training. I have been doing hill repeats keeping the same slow speed 6 min/KM and HR going up and down but no hill sprints at all.

Yes, I can. Thanks for the inspiration, that would make a nice video.
