We're kicking off our new series in partnership with JAPAN RAILWAYS GROUP where we will be using the 7 day JAPAN RAIL PASS to travel to 6 cities and eat 6 bowls of noodles across Japan! In episode 1 of our 2 part series we head to the town of Fujinomiya to sample the famous yakisoba. A quick train ride gets us to our second stop, Nagoya. Here we devour a rich bowl of miso nikomi udon. Finally it's back to the big city of Tokyo to try my hand at making soba noodles from scratch!

I will agree Luke. Japan has some of the best damn noodles you will ever have in your life. During my time in Japan, I have had the privilege of having Japanese ramen while there!!

Fast food noodles 🍜 from most 🇯🇵 Japan’s major railway 🚃 stations are very popular, and add to that, passengers on many Japan’s fast rail express trains 🚅 can order delicious BENTO lunches right from sellers (both hot and cold) on the train’s platform. Sometimes the individual BENTO sellers will come right up to you while you are in the train 🚆.
