Big fan of your content lad I'm happy to see a proud Angeleno showcasing all what great this city has to offer. Keep it up, you're doing the lord's work.
Absolute banger, this one. What an adventure. Boats, beaches, buffaloes, and their milk. You really can't pack in more action than this, you just can't.
Seeing you on this adventure remjnds me of Huell Howser on California Gold. Another thing Bison is the Buffalo burger at the Catalina Airport's Airport in the Sky Restaurant.
Keep going!! I discovered you on my page a few weeks ago and loved the videos. Your commentary and way you think about things are so great. I look forward to every upload now. And I LOVE food based videos so keep it up, really. Im a big fan!
Found your videos yesterday, I hit the like button and subscribed right away. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to many more Los Angeles adventures with you.
Man this brought back memories, nice vid!. I went to Catalina for middle school science camp years ago. It was a blast. I was waiting for the mention of bald eagles, as I was under the impression that they were a larger part of Catalinas diverse wildlife
woah cool stuff! I’m very blessed to say i can see catalina island right from my very own bedroom window. For some reason i’ve never been even tho i’ve lived in socal/by the beach for my whole life. Nice video :0)
Great video! Catalina is a fun place to visit and hike/camp! Avalon has a nice little botanical garden (mostly cacti and succulents). From there you can walk up the hill to the Wrigley memorial for a nice view. I love the clear water and fish around the island.
I got very drunk on buffalo milk once because when my best friend and I discovered it on our catalina trip, we Could. Not. Stop. it was just too damn good!
i've also seen a buffalo a dusk in that same spot walking back from cat harbor. i was holding a leftover buffalo burger in my hands from dinner and it made me feel some kind of way
I can’t wait to go to Catalina! Hopefully in the spring cuz I’m heading to Palm Springs for the winter. How much was the hotel room? I’d love to try the buffalo milk, but I’m not a tent camper anymore. 😂 I think those seals were calling you for their smooch. 🤣
I'm very curious about your channel, a few videos from forever ago then suddenly several very good videos on L.A. Whatever the story is, I'm really enjoying these L.A. videos.
Thanks! I’ve always been interested in digital content. I made 1 vlog video in like 2006 on a different account then gave up lol. Worked in digital content professionally making brand content and paid ads. And just decided to start a UA-cam videos for my own channel. Thanks for watching!
@@bemorton I hope your channel takes off, I've been enjoying the videos so far! It makes sense you worked professionally on videos before because these are very well produced.
2:14 That is an inclined cableway, not a funicular. A funicular is a special case of an inclined cableway which has two cars connected as a counterbalance.
Did you have bison milk or buffalo milk? They are two different species. Mozzarella was originally made with water buffalo milk and I believe there is a company in LA still making it, so if it is buffalo you can save yourself a trip to Catalina to try buffalo milk and just buy this cheese maybe they even sell the milk.
I do know what you showed in the video was a bison (Bison bison) and that people refer to them as buffalo, incorrectly. Since bison and buffalo are not the same species, the question was to clarify what you were actually drinking.
From the American Bison Association, "Bison are not milked commercially for a couple of reasons. First, the teats on female bison are very small. Also, bison are undomesticated animals, and the females do not adapt well to the type of handling necessary in a milking operation." Thus, what you probably was drinking was water buffalo milk.

Omg thank you so much! It can be challenging but really fun and rewarding that people like them!
This is my 3rd video of yours. Almost ready to subscribe. Your content is pretty dope.
Do it. I dare you 😈

The day trip to Catalina island is such an underrated activity. It's super low key and chill.
Great video, Brian! I have worked in Avalon on and off for over 2 years. It was great to see it and the island from a different POV.
Great to see a fellow Fairfax Lion having fun out there. Keep it up!
Another incredible video! No notes, i simply love your brain and content

Thank you!! I had a blast there. Definitely looking forward to going back in the summer to swim.
Love seeing my hometown, enjoying your videos. 😊
Thank you! Did you grow up on Catalina?
@ No, but born and raised in Los Angeles. 🙏🏾 I consider it all my town 😂
So much fun! Thank you!

That’s so cool! Sounds like a great view. I had a great time visiting and would definitely recommend it.
I’m a cat lover and am new to CA so I haven’t been to Catalina either! Let’s go to the island together and find some kitties. 😂

I love the music you use, gives the videos such a vibe. Been loving the recent videos!
Another great video. Never been to Catalina island even though I used to work at the parking garage 😂
Quality content! Hope you do a video on Koreatown one day
Omg. Yes! Such an interesting neighborhood. And arguably the best part of the city for food.
ayyy that Fairfax shirt!! I went to HS school there 😎

Lactaid for the win.
Another great video! Never been to the island but now I kind of want to go ... might not get the Buffalo Milk though 😆
🤣😂 there are other good drinks on the island. It’s fun! I think the ferry does discounted fares on your birthday.

These are colloquial buffalo - American bison. 🦬

Maybe you could venture down to San Diego and try camel milk from a farm there.
