RENEWED MY TIDAL AND YES STEMS DO WORK .. THAT MADE ME HAPPY !!! ENJOY ...
Wonderful!
Does stems in tidal work with serato?
Virtual DJ now has Tidal stems back! It still has the offline download (I think it may be unlimited) they gave us when they originally took stems away too.
Nice I hope the same goes for djay
This was helpful. I use tidal alot. This must've just happened this week. I was at a gig 2 weeks ago & it worked fine. It's helpful with requests
Looking Forward to your update regarding Tidal changes.
1. I hope we do get Stems Back
2. Would be awesome if we could use Tidal off line with saved play list. ( Will wishes come true lol )
These 2 items would help justify the added expense.
I randomly saw the update now and in Serato I can use stems but on the Djay app I am not still. Aside from that I am able to listen to music now in max quality
@@abrahammedellin6367 thanks for responding. Better sound quality is nice 👍🏽
TIDAL has Atmos for home TV... TIDAL can too be used for DJing... Can we DJ with Atmos using Tidal or any other software? what hardware do we need? I'd like to use STEMS and split the sound into different outputs... do weddings, events and DJ services with 3D Audio..
One of the screenshots of the conversation with the Tidal support was probably mine. So I am pretty sure that they‘re gonna bring it back. Still it shows that they totally underestimate the impact of stems for DJs or else I couldn‘t explain why they would not bring this up in the first announcement. Also I found on the Tidal page where they list their DJ software partners that in Virtual DJ it is now (so probably already or maybe even for a longer time) possible to use offline modus for DJing. So I guess offline storage could probably another thing that would make these extra 9 bucks worthwhile. I guess we will all know sooner or later.
I don't mind the extra price. If you had to go purchase individually 10 tracks a month from any other service where would that put you? I think we've had it pretty good for quite some time. I know for me I'd end up paying a lot more that $10 a month
good points
Join a record pool. That way you own the music. Paying 20 a month for something you don’t own is a joke. There are 10 dollar record pools.
@@TommaurerMaurer record pools are cool for edits edm and remixes. But for R&B and oldschool HipHip - they just dont have it. I have most things on vinyl. So yeah - I hear what you are saying
If the price hike don’t come with stems I’m gone. No more tidal R.I.P.🕊️
I'm just a hifi listener and had the free trial, now they have placed me on individual with the dj extension enabled but it doesn't say I have to pay the $9 should I disable it? I have a Fiio dac but thats all for "special hardware"
much better audio ;-)
Thank you
Hey man i see you have a mixtsstream pro back there. Do you know if its compatible with DJay pro? Like if i connected it to my ipad would i be able to use it as a controller? Would i see the algorithm interface on the mixstream screen?
How can I Transfer my playlist from old title account to the new DJ extension account?
One more thing - especially being an old school dj - I just can't get everything I used and have in my vinyl collection. Who has the time to transfer all that vinyl to digital.
Hey, Tidal has now adjusted its prices and you have to take out this subscription for DJs. Can the music at least be played offline now? Still not, right?
And: How can the playlists from Tidal be imported all at once and thus updated? Up to now I've always done this one by one, which is very annoying (updating 30 playlists once a week).
Serato now doesn't let me use Tidal unless I change my plan
Did you update Serato?
It happened to me tonight
love the explenation you give the people. one thing what i think make the video's better is get a better camera man. the image is not sharp. I hope you fix it before you hit that 10k subs.
Thanks for the feedback, this is an older video I have upgraded my camera and lighting since then.
@@justinspiegel6841 ok thats fair then i am gonna check out a newer video of you soon.
@@darkstepwarrior88 I use the insta 360 Ai tracking camera because of the desk view for when I do controller tutorials also it records in 4k
I own all my music and might use Tidal say once or twice during a gig, the price hike doesn’t justify me keeping Tidal, not saying it’s not worth it but just not worth it for me..
I may explore using Apple Music for the odd request scenario
Good points Apple Music is a great choice I like tidal for the music videos
Without Stems back it´ s just a rip off.
Facts I was about to drop tidal too glad they came out with this!
I dont care about STEMS..do I need this add on/upgrade?
HI if you want to use tidal for DJ software you have to pay the extra for the DJ extension regardless if you use stems or not.
Im currently on the individual plan..I have a shit load of songs..My question is, if i get the Dj extension will my current songs/playlists still be there?
Yes
Will I be able to use Neural Mix 2.0 after purchasing a more expensive Tidal plan?
Yes that is what it looks like
I launched the Tidal DJ Extensions service. Neural Mix track separation still doesn't work.
After the last Djay update everything works as before 😁
I NEED MORE INFO ABOUT THE VIDEO DJ
Hi what devices do you DJ with? I made a lot of videos about this feature
We will pay 2x the price we used to pay to have exactly the features we used to have before they removed the stems. It is a shame, a few $ increase is ok, but that much is violent. I will do it anyway coz it help me save a lot of time but it is quite aggressive imo.
I am part of the current Tidal Family plan, and we have DJay app integration that we use all the time. After April 10th 2024, is this changing for the Family plan as well, there’s no info I can find wrt the Family plan and DJay app integration - so the possible implications for the Family are totally unclear and obscure.
The DJ extension can only be added to individual plans, so anyone using a family plan cannot add the DJ extension to that. Complain to Tidal!
@@groovindj Thx for that, Algoriddim wrote back to me to confirm that exact same info. A follow on question - do you know if DJay integration is allowed for users on the Apple Music Family Plan ?
@@127Foxtrotyou should ask on the Algoriddim forum
I did get my stems back
Nice do you think it’s worth the price increase?
So I don't need to do anything. Tidal will automatically start charging me an extra $9 a month?
Yes
@@justinspiegel6841 Thanks
In France, i had to activate the DJ option.
@@nice2mixyou Thanks!
We defo got stems back
Yes!!
I just got hit for it today 😢
How do you use tidal when offline?
There is no way to do this you need internet connection, I pay like $10 extra to have 5g on my iPad or you can use your phone as a hotspot
@@justinspiegel6841not even able access the downloaded songs or playlist?
There's currently two tiers, HiFI and HiFi Plus (gets higher quality music). Tidal is moving to one tier. Looks like all will now get the higher quality music (great!), and the HiFi Plus users will see a drop in price to the $10.99 level (again, great!). For those currently on Hifi Plus, they'll still pay $19.99/mo including DJ add-on.
Stems or no stems?
I have heard that that the stems are coming back with the new price
@@justinspiegel6841 April 10th… judgement day 😆
@@justinspiegel6841thank God!!
Stems, their official mail say it. But not offline mix. which is exactly what we used to have for the same price
Stems are back
How is this "tidal dj explained"? :) what it costs is all i got out of this
Thanks for the feedback, let me know if you have any questions
I’m still paying $10.99 Djing & using Stems because I never updated 👍🏾
Nice!
wtf? tidal is great for occasional times i need it as an occasional dj… why tidal why… *is apple music also integrated with serato lite and rekordbox?
I wish Spotify would do this
yes I agree!
Tidal just shot themselves in the foot. Apple is now the go to then. Really bad move on their part. Tidal was fun to djay with in the patio with a Hercules DJ control mix. I didn’t have to take my $1000 Denon stand alone outside. Just some beers my iPhone, JBL speaker and my Hercules 😌
If you can't afford $9 a month you shouldn't be DJing in the first place. Everyone knows it's expensive before you get into it. You get MQA audio which is a noticable difference. You should be wanting to give the best quality product anyway. You think Apple isn't going to do it too? No one has stems because the record companies are charging. Go buy your music, you can use stems too, problem solved. Streaming is convenience, not a need. You should own your music you want to use for sets and use streaming as a 2nd source. Be a part of the community and contribute.
Please say this LOUDER for the people in the back!! 📌
Its becaue people like you that nowdays everything is subscription based and we cant own anything. 10usd is a lot to some people, and claiming that simply cause hobbie is expensive you shouldnt do it if you are poor.
This price is wrong for most bedroom djs, and I will never support it and I hope others will follow too.
In the meantime there is gonna be new, better, more affordable service.
I mean with 9$ I was already using it to DJ now I gotta pay an additional 9$ just use the same function as before? That’s why these companies can continue to rip ppl because of you ppl like you
@@speedfreakpsycho if $9 is hurting you so bad, you shouldn't have gotten into DJing or get a better job. Owning all that music would cost you 10x more. People that really care about DJing and the industry, contribute to it. All of the platforms will charge for it in the future. You get MQA audio and stem separation. Its not the same as streaming on your phone. There is functionality and R&D put into it, which costs money for them to make the software able to work on decks. No one is forcing you to do it, so dont... It's simple ha ha
This such a stupid fucking argument, why would I pay almost double of what I’m paying for features that I’ve used for years, it’s not about not having the money, it’s about these companies getting greedier and greedier because of people like you
It's Apple Music then! Bye bye Tidal! I needed to clean up my setlists anyways! 😁
Yes Apple Music is looking pretty good just wish they had music videos
@@justinspiegel6841No stems on Apple Music.
I already pay VDJ so this doesn’t make sense.
Without stems I’m leaving!!!!
Cant justify the price anymore. Guess I am out.
This does not say how it works. At all. It's made of whining about the cost.
Hi thanks for the feedback,They raised the price and you can use it in Djay Pro with Neuralmix. If you have any other questions let me know
Holy hell stingy af
Bye Tidal
Bye bye tidal hello apple music!
