Can Mike Grier turn some of his cap space into future assets by taking on bad contracts from cap-strapped teams? It's worth noting that the Flyers' cap situation isn't quite as bad as it seems. Those numbers include Ryan Ellis who is LTIRetired and getting 6.25M and includes 13 forwards, 5 defensemen, and 2 goalies plus the buried penalty for Petersen. They're not comfortable, but they're not desperate.
Also think Cam is a little too small for the kind of complementary pieces GMMG is looking for.
It would be ironic trading Ozzy (the player drafted from trading Goodrow) for Barclay.

@@LockedOnSharks it sure is, but considering our timeline, and Necas’ upside, I’d be down to weather it for a few years. We need more EBUCenters anyway; can’t have Kunin covering C ever again.
My assumption as a glass half full kind of guy is that if a player has a one-team no trade list that team is the Sharks. That includes players already on the Sharks so if they find a way off the team they don't have to risk being sent back before they can update their trade list.

At this point it's a bit of a "charm" of the show. It's been discussed quite a bit in the past and I don't anticipate it changing anytime soon.
As a fellow dolphin and shark fan, its amazing we have the Grier brothers as gm, but im running out of patience with the dolphin gm, he's been in charge since 2016, and still cant win a playoff gm,

Rangers also need to extend Igor. They are going to spend a bunch of money next year.
Really not a fan of Grier taking on more salary dumps. We saw how hard it was to move guys like Hoffman, Labanc, and Barabonov at the deadline. Without a salary retention slot it’s a bigger risk.
I only agree if its something short like a 1 or 2 year deal. But there might be a lot of teams that will try and risk sticking out that 1 mroe year and then letting the player go
