I know this is off topic of the video but what do we think about Jumbo announcing the number 1 pick, personally I think it would be awesome to see a former number 1 pick announce the sharks first every number 1 pick, just throwing it out there, hope it happens!

Smith-Granlund-Zetterlund Eklund-Celebrini-Musty Bordeleau-Couture-Gushchin Kunin-Sturm-Kostin Let’s go!!! Maybe throw Pavelski into the mix. Offense should be fun, hopefully the defense gets an overhaul.
we need veterans on this roster at this point, and its not going to be Pavelski. We need to reach the cap floor, so Gushchin and Musty (after his 9 game stint) have to be sent down and continue to develop and dominate at their respective levels. We need younger vets who are hungry for first-line time along with a big payday on shorter term. Debrusk is my personal pick, but anyone that can contribute to Smith and Mack's development need to be considered.
@@brandumb925 Gushchin has already dominated at the AHL, and all levels he's been at to this point. He's 22 and he's absolutely earned a starting spot on this roster, exactly where he is positioned on the 3rd line. Yeah Musty is a hard one. He has absolutely dominated at the OHL and I don't see him staying back is good for his development. But, straight into the league might also be too much.
@@barnsey1607yes he had a great year and deserves an extended chance, but considering Granlund is a likely candidate to be moved at the deadline along with Sturm, klim is still fighting for a contract, Kunin (if he’s back) will likely be short term, along with the other young guys who can easily spend some time in the AHL, I think he will have a good 30-45 games in the NHL next season, and he doesn’t need to be penciled in to start the season. We still need vets asap to get to the floor
@@brandumb925 completely agree 💯 on your insight, however, as much focus we need on Veterans, we need to be super careful with halting the development of a LOT of good young prospects. Gotta ride the wave 🌊
Love your work mate! Aussie Sharks fan and have been since 08-09 season when I saw them at the Saddledome in Calgary on the 6th of Jan, 09 in a 5-2 L. Joe Thornton and Marleau sold me and been mad hockey and sharks since. My thoughts with your Depth Chart though, I like the thought process, however, in 07 when Toews and Kane joined the league - much like smith and Celebrini - they went straight first line with Sharp (who eerily has an identical trade story and draft to Zetterlund) Also, you left out for sure line players in Guschin and Graf. There is zero chance Graf does not play. He is a 2x Hobey Baker Finalist and was highly touted as a free agent, and had the choice of 24 other clubs to sign with and chose the sharks. That choice would have come under agreement of playing time to prove himself. Graf is going to be awesome at the next level. He has to be pened it on the 3rd line.
@@LockedOnSharks Yeah, I definitely see that. However, I feel he will start on the NHL roster and if he shows signs of struggle he will pop down for a little while to gain confidence. Exciting time for sure
It's going to be really interesting to see who Grier targets in Free agency/ trades. need some toughness to protect the rookies but also some scoring to help them out. I'd love a guy like Dakota Joshua.
Halttunen, Musty, Celebrini, Smith, Graf, Eklund.... Put 'em all in the fire and let 'em cook. My only thought would be to beef up on defense, get Celebrini a McSorely-like bodyguard, and contemplate looking at a long term solution in net. Usually, young teams are scared to throw younger players in the deep end because they don't have enough talent surrounding them. When Eklund first came in, he was exposed. When he was surrounded with other weapons, he flourished. When the Sharks have an overwhelming number of weapons, especially this many, their only weakness will be size due to their youth. Surround them with beef and let them get used to playing with each other to build a core while they fill out physically. Then again, I think Cole Hutson is the next Paul Coffey or Cade Makar.
We know regardless that this season won’t be great. We know this year will be for development purposes. However, it makes me think will they still be heavily involved in free agency or wait till next year.

Don’t sleep on Quinton musty watch his interview he’ll be that character guy down the road and I’d love to see him sign is ELC this year as well
Didn’t he already sign an ELC, like right away
@@SharksOregon he did! I think he gets his 9 games this season
That’s great

Switch Bordeleau with Halttunen … he’s got size plays with an edge ( guys know he hit them lol) and Can shoot could even move him to the 2nd line

I think Graf could use some time in the AHL playing big minutes and getting used to the pro game.

I'm a bit confused....you pronounced Sennecke's name right. =D
Blind squirrel, broken clock, etc...
Celebrini will as well. Things are going to possibly turn around really quick out in SJ

@ryanbowlby859 it is indeed going to be a crazy of season. Can't wait to see how it all shakes out
The future offense is taking shape, the defense is still a big question mark. At the very least, Sharks games should start being entertaining again.
@@MrVisde True... What are your thoughts on Thrun and Mahatmahnotgoingtotry? Anyone else interesting D in the pipelines? Thoughts on Bystedt?
No Gushchin? He deserves a spot. Gush, Bordeleau, Eklund, Zetterlund, Celebrini AND Smith is too many young players. Let Smith cook.
I would love to see a line of Bystead, Hultannen, Edstrom whether it's in the NHL or AHL
I feel Bystead will be 3rd and Edstrom will be a 4th liner C. That just shows how much depth we have
Bringing Barclay Goodrow back to protect the kids would be interesting. Even more if we get some prospect/pick from taking his contract.
JD thoughts on the possible moves on the *other* 1st round pick? And an assumption that pick won't be ready to contend for a spot this season?

too much fun

they have to spend acquire at least 15mil worth of players so its gotta go to something to make the team better hopefully
I think Musty will fit with celebrini better than Will Smith Will Smith center his own line, after playing a year wing with Eklund
If u wishing to bring a 1RW, what your thoughts of bringing Vladimir Tarasenko to the Sharks to a 1-2 year contract? If we dont get Necas
trade for atkinson/ sign Kailer Yamamoto
Wait wouldn’t Smith be a RW because he has a right shot?
Kasper Halttunen
Quentin Musty Will Smith Macklin Celebrini build 2 lines from there
Add a veteran to each line mix and match. But that’s the future.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Should be
Mack and will the thrill be in sj. The sharks will still be bad. Top 5 pick. Still need a character guy like BG.
The character guys are easier to find than the elite talent.
Hoping for top D-man in top 5 next year.. then we ready to fly ✈️
2nd line: Celebrini C, Smith LW, Kappo Kakko RW… pick up Kakko for pick 42 and a mid prospect
