I agree... I would black out the trailer, wheels and all. Maybe gold fenders. But trailers take a beating, so it doesn't matter what process as long as it's fairly durable and easily touched up.
I'm probably in the minority, but a gold trailer AND Nugget is too much. I would go with a Black trailer, w/a thin gold pinstripe, high gloss cherry-colored wood platform, gold fenders w/ a thin black pinstripe along the edge, black wheels w/ a gold pinstripe & black lug nuts. Have the colors alternate and break up the trailer/nug/rokon mono-color - would also highlight the rokon while it's on the trailer against the black. Looks amazing regardless of color choice - this has been fantastic to watch and cannot wait to see Ed's reaction!
This is a good idea. That way entire trailer frame and base can be powdercoated black. Axle absolutely should be powdercoated. Trailer i sandy area needs to be durable. As others have said the gold paint will take a hammering. Especially in a loading unloading environment. Not even sure why spraying the trailer frame and base was considered. To add to your idea entire thing including wheels powdercoated black. Gold pinstripe detailing on frame edge around load area and around fenders. Pinstripe the wheels and gold lugnuts for accents allows the rokon and nugget to shine and be the stars

Black trailer, gold ferders and rhino line the ramp, tread and front tire support tube. Also the black rims get a gold pinstripe around the edge with gold pinstriping on the edge of the trailer. Great work guys.
My opinion is also should be black trailer with gold fenders, as pointed out, scuffing from loading & unloading Rocon. Once the Rockon is going to be painted gold, think that way would really set it off perfect.
I don't really think the gold paint would hold up well for the trailer. I'd like the trailer to be black so that the gold ROCON would be showcased. But I'd like to see gold accents on the trailer fenders and rims.
I know wood planks are being put on the trailer, and that may kind of clash with gold. I recommend black trailer with gold fenders. Definitely black on the wheels too.
Matte black mostly, wide gold pinstripes. When they finish the wood bed, mix in some gold flake for some sparkle on the wood finish. Black wheels gold hubs.
Black fenders and black wheels would look great with the gold trailer. So impressed with the great job you guys have been doing on this project! I can't wait to see Ed's reaction!
I don't know what others think or said. BUT the only sheet metal on that trailer is / are the fenders and they are the only part that should be gold. The rest should be black. You painted powdered coated the Nuggets frame black. So everything but the fenders on that trailer is frame.
Agreed. The trailer will take a beating from dirt roads and rock strikes etc. Powder coating will be the best defense against the elements. Since the Nugget will not have mud flaps what about a black rock shield on the trailer to protect the Rokon?
All black trailer (including fenders), then 3 evenly spaced gold stripes on the fenders, carry the gold stripes down to the slats in between the wood boards on the deck.
$4.71/gallon here in Kenya. Surprising that ours is cheaper, but gov't subsidizes the price of fuel here (through our tax money, so we still pay in the end).

I agree a solid gold trailer will tend to camouflage the Rokon. From a design point of view you need something to separate the elements if you want one of them to pop.
I've been feeling like that gooseneck hitch should be braced against the hoop for the motorcycle front wheel. At that angle, it just seems like it's going to create a lever with significantly more force now and should be braced. Also, for the wheels, I vote black with a gold rim.
All that is supposed to be on this trailer is that mini bike. 200lbs +/-. You could use 0.65 wall 1x1 for a trail ride or a few with that amount of weight. Also the tongue is not carrying the full weight of the bike. Unless it becomes a utility trailer the goose is good to go.
Black trailer and wheels. Gold fenders. And it needs some type of inner fender so the fender wells aren't so open. That way the tires won't throw rocks and road debris up on the Rokon.

In addition to incredible skills your narration and instruction about the steps you are taking with each job set you apart from the rest. Keep up the great work. One more vote for black with some gold highlights. And consider Line-X, Rhino Liner, or similar- that would give some grip plus it tends to reduce rock chips.
I think the trailer should be all bed liner except for the fenders. Fenders gold to match the Rokon. At a minimum, if the whole thing gets painted gold, at least bed liner the strip down the middle that the bike rides on. Oh and black axel. Keep up the great work guys!!
Still think that the draw bar should have more support, some webbing plates ,but that's just my thoughts . The parts of the frame that will get road grime and stone chips could be black powder coating, the practical solution .😊😊

Really digging this series.
Black wheels, gold fenders, black trailer frame with some gold piping down the side, gold coupler blending to a black tongue
Diesel now about $10.21 per gallon here in the UK so $5 would be lovely. Love your channel fantastic work. Good luck
Wheels black, instead of a white wall, I would do a gold wall! I also would have welded a brace from the tongue/hitch/coupler area to the top of the wheel hoop. Looks great!
Make sure you get a winch on the roll off bed deck itself with hydraulic lines hooking up to back when beds on ground
My opinion is Gold fenders with everything else black. Black pinstripes on the fenders and gold pinstripes on the wheels and gooseneck.
Vote for a Basic Black trailer.
Another excellent video!!
You and your crew/family do a great job. In addition to incredible skills your narration and instruction about the steps you are taking with each job set you apart from the rest.
Keep up the great work.
Also gas here on Maui is $5.47 a gallon. Not sure why mainland gas is so high.
T-ball is the most important thing in the day! I help with my grandsons team and it's awesome!
BLACK TRAILER! BLACK WHEELS! With Gold Fender accent to make the ROKON pop!! and the Nugget will too.
Black fenders and black wheels sounnds good. I heard you say $5.45 for gasoline. Here in the UK we are
paying the equivalentof $7.80 per US gallon or $9.37per imperial gallon. You are all doing an awesome job
With the Golden Nugget Rocon and trailer. Ed is just going to be blown away. All his Christmas`s and
birthdays come at once.
As most said, I concur with the mostly black trailer and wheels then gold fenders.
8:30 and following regarding the "traffic"... That's like a Saturday morning drive for me! My daily drive is 55 miles each way and usually takes me an hour and 45 minutes each way. And I know others who have it worse!
One more vote for black with some gold highlights. And consider Line-X, Rhino Liner, or similar- that would give some grip plus it tends to reduce rock chips.
Whatever you decide will be amazing just like all your work! Love seeing your family. Family Forever!
black fenders (powder coat) white walled wheels (cerakote), gold everything else (except wood)
Congratulations what a cool rig it is going to be such a great work truck, the Golden Nugget looks so mind blowing Awesome
I think the trailer should be all bed liner except for the fenders. Fenders gold to match the Rokon. At a minimum, if the whole thing gets painted gold, at least bed liner the strip down the middle that the bike rides on. Oh and black axel.
Keep up the great work guys!!
Black trailer and wheels,
Gold fenders and pinstripe on side of frame.
Nuggets looking sweet, love the new tow truck 😊👍 Gas is expensive everywhere its currently $9:50 a gallon here. 😞
Black wheels with gold walls or gold stripping.
Black fenders.
Thanks for your content.
Black Trailer Gold Fenders as P.R mentioned below. Black wheels
I agree with that everything black except for the fenders and they should be gold with a black pinstripe
U guys should have way more then 200k subs , u have realy good quality video and work .
Still think that the draw bar should have more support, some webbing plates ,but that's just my thoughts .
The parts of the frame that will get road grime and stone chips could be black powder coating, the practical solution .😊😊
Good stuff Robby! Black wheels, cerakote and $4.79 at Sam’s club here in Las Vegas.
