I'm with you too bro...I'm 32 in Sept. and it's basically been as long since I skated somewhat consistently with my buddies as the age I was WHEN I skated (15). That's 15 whole f*ck1ng years! Half a life ago...
The funny part is how the stereotype back then had all these negative associations with living "hard and fast"...
In reality, personally speaking, skating is a way for me to slow things down. It allows me to escape inwards and is such a great way to both expend energy and be energized at the same time.
Untill you shin yourself of course.

Everyone, make sure you watch 'till the end for a sick line from Jonny...Jonny Nollie in this case.
Seriously though, your editing and overall, your videos as a whole, have gotten to a whole new level.

Rodney Mullen did a small demo in the Ocean County Mall, in Toms River, NJ when I was a teen.. It was 1988 I believe. He is a legend, but at that time, it was absolutely mindblowing.

    8:11 "Not good enough..."
This is the video highlight for me, because it demonstrates your ability to evaluate yourself honestly. I've only seen a few of your videos, but it seems to me that you're an appropriately harsh critic of your own performance, and that's a trait shared by all greats from any sport or any activity - you don't seem to settle for anything less than bolts. That's as awesome as it is rare.
    Excellent video, Jonny! :)

I remember seeing Natas doing an Ollie over a dumpster in a Thrasher spread. I COULDN'T BELIEVE the Ollie's that guy could pull. Awesome trick. One little tip to make this trick easier is to use small pieces of grip on the underside of the nose and tail. If you look closely in some of Rodney mullens old video's you can see he did the same. It makes casper slides and little easier as your back foot doesn't slip off the board as easy.

Johnny, what you do with Rodney's tricks is awesome! Brings back lots memories for me! Here is your next IMPOSSIBLE TRICK...SEMI-FLIP TO DARKSLIDE TO PRIMO TO ROLLOUT

Mullen overkill 9000 no joke lol, if he'd been pushed back in the day, and he had the perfect spot, he probably could have done a darkslide to primo to out. Mad skills though Jonny, I've enjoyed the series.

I am not a skater, will likely never skate in my life as my ankles already sprain too often but you are so into your sport that it's very interesting to watch. Also the way you are paying respect to such an idol is very nice. Maybe I'll try to do the same with Danny Macaskill some time :)

Was good to watch but more fun to close my eyes and imagine the greatest supervillan Gru learning the darkslide.
