@@H786... DXVK is converting DirectX 9 to Vulkan. Normally this game uses DirectX 9 but Vulkan has much optimization in terms of GPU and CPU usage.

Somehow GTA IV is most edge aliaced game I know, so you can easily distinguish 4K and 8K by flickering fences, bars and grilles in 4K even through 1080p youtube compression.
I never had a PS3 or a powerful enough PC to run this game until a few years ago. Got addicted to Pubg and put GTA 4 on the back burners for years. Finally stopped playing Pubg and been enjoying GTA 4. Still haven't beat the game as I take breaks for it here and there but will finish it soon. It is a really good game, still have to play GTA 5 as well. Installed and ready to go for a long time, man am I lazy AF. Need to start playing these games.
I feel you on that. I bet you pick up a lot of games on sale and then don't play those for a long time, too.

man, imagine if we could play GTA IV in 8k in 2008...i mean the graphics look so perfect (if you ignore the distant LOD texture flickering)

It's truly remarkable how native 8k has a tranformative impact on the visuals of old games. It makes them look remastered and almost modern
I hope there will be a remastered version with the option to disable the greenish grey piss filter. I can't play this game like that.

@@CHALETARCADE GTA 4 had much better story tbh. GTA 5 on the other hand had bland story, only graphical wise GTA 5 was step-up. Even GTA SA had better story.

What a beautiful game with maximum graphics, it looks like a game from 2024, not to mention that I always found the gameplay of GTA IV better than that of V, and the damage effects on cars are much more realistic, the shadows in the game. Great!

My gtx 1660 super is hitting 80°c while playing games like Rdr2, Alan wake 2. Is that normal? My card is 3.5 year old and room temperature is around 34°c.

Чудовищно неоптимизированная вещь. Я бы посоветовал еще подождать пару-тройку лет и вот тогда фпс будет что надо. Только там проблемы с выставлением разрешения. Автор ролика их решил, а так вообще-то вы будете ограничены 1440x768 что ли, без специальных телодвижений (или даже меньше, может 1280x800)

The game is 32Bit, how the hell is it using 9+ gigs?
9GB on the whole system, not the game usage.
It could be like 1,5GB-2GB for the game and the rest being Windows.
When I played Deus Ex Human Revolution last month, my total usage was 11GB but the game used about 900MB, the rest being Windows + Opera
