IMO one of the most exciting games this year. Just good honest hockey between two similarly skilled teams, both quite strong and giving their all but also both have their vulnerabilities. It only seems fitting that this game turned into goalie vs goalie standoff in the end, both of them are absolute powerhouses keen to make their country proud.

Dont be a moron and take a look at team Latvia history. 3rd place was an amazing miracle and I will cherish it forever but it was 50% skill and 50% luck. Home ice, all top tier players available, no ruzzia/belarus. Something like that happens once every 20 years. For the record, our most common placements before were 12th, 11th, 10th place. This year, 9th place was better than average and we won 4 out of 7 games, even if they were half-victories. Everyone who thinks Latvia will now get medals each year is delusional.
