You have 3 speed sensors on This transmission . Turbine speed sensor, input speed sensor and output speed sensor. Which one of these ? Since the one you are installing is an electromagnetic sensor?
Could this sensor be the reason for only shifting on 1st and second in drive and it won’t go any higher, all the other gears work and I just replaced the rear abs
I got an 88 F250 with a speedometer that doesnt work and thought this might be the issue, a bad speed sensor. Would this be my problem? Also I know this video says 94-00 F150 but would this also apply for the 80s models?
Hello, does a 1990 Ford F150 4.9 Cid 300 use a that automatic transmission speed Sensor? and may it be at the same position as this one shown? Thank you.
So when i went to O'Reilly they sold me the speedometer sensor in video with and "out sensor" which looks similar but no orange rings and a bit longer where do i need to install this other sensor
Thanks for the video. Unfortunately I'm looking for the location of the transmission output speed sensor on a 2004 Nissan Titan. It has to be one of the most elusive sensors I have ever tried finding.
+Benito Rojas Thanks for watching! That is the connector for the output speed sensor. It is different than a 2005 Crown Victoria, and we do not have a video for that vehicle at this time!
I have a 1996 ford mustang automatic transmission. would this one fit because most of the speed sensors i see have a gear at the end of them. is this the right one to buy?
I have a 2002 ford f150, my problem is the following: the change from first to second takes a long time to change as if it were forced, after it changes everything works well, what is the cause of this behavior of the transmission. note: maintenance was done to said transmission four months ago.
Hi I am trying to figure out what the big white plug is on the transmission we're the torgue converter houseing is what is the name for if any one can tell me please for a 2001 Ford Taurus
+Mesothelioma The part in this video fits your application, and the install should be the same or similar. Buy this part on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
is this the one that actually controls the speedo??? Geez.. there are 3 "speed sensors" on a 97 F-150... I read some other place that the one on the rear dif controlled the speedo... well.....NO. I just replaced that one and have the same wonky speedometer readings... Help...
Yes! The one on the rear differential manages the speedometer, the one in the middle with a little pinion gear and the bigger of all them is the shaft speed sensor and the first one on top of the transmission is the input turbine speed sensor.
This sensor probably tells the PSOM (programmable speedometer/odometer module, located behind the speedometer) how fast the vehicle is going (the truck does not have a speedometer cable). When it malfunctions, the truck will probably shift erratically, the ABS light will come on and the engine may not run well.
I have a 2013 Ford f150 4x4... I got an error code p0720... I was told I needed the output post speed sensor... Then I was I told it was inside the transmission housing. What do you think?
+Curtis Harvey A speed sensor that has failed may stop the speedometer from working. You may also notice that your vehicle is not running smoothly and you are not able to use the vehicle's cruise control. As we cannot diagnose your vehicle online, we do suggest having it looked at by a local mechanic. Thanks for watching!
+The Rookie 7117 It may be a different procedure on your application. We currently do not have an auto repair video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking. 1aauto.com
There are multiple causes for a speedometer to stop working. Typically, the part will fail due to a broken gear in the speedometer system, a speed sensor issue or a faulty engine control unit (ECU). A malfunctioning speedometer may also be due to damaged wiring. We hope this helps you out. +Danny Snyder

What’s the difference in changing it when you have a newer truck? I have a 2013, I ordered the part and want to fix it to save money.
Sure it's easy after you put it on a lift and remove the exhaust.
It’s pretty easy to reach without even jacking it up

Do you have to drain the ATF Fluid first?
Would the sensor be in the same place on my 94 Ford bronco with a e40d transmission?
Don't bet on it cause the 95 isn't on the transmission like he's saying
Would this help with shifting smoother when I accelerate quickly?
Did it help?

I know there's one on the differential for ABS
do I also have one on the transmission
