I miss the days when super villains had their own wacky cars and sidekicks dressed like them. Everything these days is so grim and grey. They need to go back to this time when life made sense.
Joel Schumacher tried
And how come Batman doesn't dance, anymore???
I beleive there's room for both
A villain can both be grim and colorful
No not really, the reason these characters were so wacky and colourful was because they were made for a children's show. It was for kids so it had to be bright, wacky and fun.
And that is why Batman 66 is beloved and justified wacky escapism at its finest
Cesar Romero was a great actor I love the way he laughs but the Joker he was so good he made a perfect Joker
Brilliant talent
Everyone playing the Joker has their own style and are good in their own way, but Ceaser Romero was the true 'clown' prince of crime. And that's coming from someone who is too young to have grown up with Adam West Batman. Jack Nicholson continued it in his own way with the bright colors and silly gag weapons. Now they're going for the psychotic killer clown that haunts people's nightmares, they've forgotten what Joker is/was.
He was as good as any of them
@The Joker Whooohooohoooo. The last laugh is on you.
Well the story goes was that when the producers approached him with the offer he was looking to show another side of his acting skills. He was best known for playing serious bad guys and ladies man type of characters. When he asked how he should play the character, they told him to play play it very over the top and ham it up. He gladly created the persona that we knew as The Joker. He was quoted as saying that The Joker was one of his favorite characters to play because he had so much fun doing it.
Caesar Romero was the best Joker, he embodied the whimsical and devious side of the character with perfection.
I grew up with this, Gilligan's island and star trek, what a great time to grow up.
Sad to think most of all are gone and passed...
Also grew up to this. It was on in the late 80s, dont remember what channel. Pretty sure Mr. Ed, I Dream of Genie, and Green Acres were on the same channel
I can remember they had Batman on at 8 pm followed by the Green Hornet at 8:30, then Voyage to the bottom of the sea at 9, but I could never finish watching the whole episode because my mom would yell at me to go to bed around 9:30 for school the next day
Ok BOOMER
@@bluemouse5039 oh yeah green hornet I loved that one and I remember a show called time tunnel.
"By all the Saints of wicked mirth".... lol gotta love the Joker.
Her hair shade is off a bit the fake wig on top don't match
All my years collecting Hot Wheels 'movie' cars, all the many versions of the Batmobile they've made and released, but never ONCE the Jokemobile... for shame.
You answered my question.
I like seeing the Batmobile in it's original day, it looks used and worn, like it should be. Today when you see it, it's too perfect and super shiny.
@@JENDALL714 More like everything is a tank now thanks to The Dark Knight trilogy. I'm glad 'The Batman' went back to a car, finally.
César Romero is an amazing Joker. Rest in Peace LEGEND!!!
RIP OUR UNFORGETTABLE CESAR ROMERO THE BEST JOKER
1:50 One of Cesar's Romero's funniest moments apart from the Joker's art fiasco and horrible ride on the Batpoles.
In his memoirs, Romero said he got his trademark laugh when the costumer of the show gave him the suit he would wear as the Joker. He laughed at the clothes, the director heard him and told him it be great for the show. It became one of the greatest laughs (after the Riddler's) in TV history.
He never shaved his mustchache off too macho
Well this is depressing. I was hoping there would be a real "secret batcave entrance" sign over the real batcave.
The very idea of a big "BATCAVE" sign over the entrance is pretty funny. The actual Batcave entrance is about the only thing in the whole series that isn't marked.
The Joker set himself up to be pranked. Batman would never label a NY door as the secret entrance of the Batcave. At least he has a nice looking moll.
@@williamhaynes4800 The show like Star Trek, always had hot looking villain dames!
I remember watching all of these shows as a kid. I was mesmerized by the bright and unique colors in all the episodes - nothing else was like it. Wonderful fun show, even today.
My wife and 4 year old granson love watching the original BATMAN.
He thinks its hilarious. Being a Papaw is the best job ever.
The joker’s car reminds me a little bit of the Munster’s car.
I am sure all of the cars of this era are Barris Customs.
Phyllis Douglas from " The Galileo 7" episode on Star Trek.
The car was built by Barris Customs (just like the Munsters Car). It was originally built for an Elvis movie "Easy Come, Easy Go" and then after the movie was over they changed it into the Jokermobile.
The guy who designed Grandpa Munster’s Dragula also designed the Adam West Batmobile, so assuredly he did the Cesar Romero’s Jokermobile.
I would also guess the Adams Family car as well, very similar.
Cesar Romero- Great Actor and WWII Veteran- We miss you Joker!
I love the Joker he called Batman a flying rodents and a Shakespearean tone that was deep
💗 no one can touch him as the joker
agree
Cesar Romero had way too much fun playing the Joker
But as the Joker Cesar Romero refused to do one thing
And that was to remove his mustache his very famous mustache
Ah, the Jokemobile. I loved that car, and how it improved over years in comics and the Batman: Arkham Knight game.
man that's some incredible acting at 1:50.
Maybe but this was a cheesy 60's show not Shakespeare.
Yes. He was ALWAYS very good.
@@rbswords2353 you are supposed to laugh at the joker birdbrain!!!
i remember watcing this back in the mid 1970s and the way batman trcked the joker about the batcave good one
The Joker was very poetic very Shakespearean and yet evil LOL classic acting
You can't beat Cesar Romero.
But, doesn't Batman ?
Sure cant
Omg I never saw the jokers car before. Wow and the batmobile was hot. I heard that the original still exists. I remember the whole family watching batman together around the big wooden tv with a coat hanger for a antenna. Amazing.
Hammy as it is, I still love it!
That woman was also the yeoman in the Star Trek episode _Galileo Seven_
Cool!
I thought she looked familiar. Thanks Howard!🖖
I thought that was her. Phyllis Douglas. Sadly, she passed away in 2010.
Yikes she jumps on the floor of the shuttle and yells and that's the stuff that makes babboy happy
She's dead jom
best joker
Proto-Harley Quinn may not have been much, but at least there was no abuse element.
The "JokeMobile" or "JokerMobile" looks kinda cool!
Grew up on these shows they were great then and they still are the cheesiness is what makes them great
Awesome joker
People tend to overlook the most dedicated to this show, Burt Ward. To literally go running around in just green undies was a big ask. I would've needed a big sock.
He wanted to, but was denied permission to do so by the producers due to the age of the fictional character.
I'd like to run around dressed like that
I'd like to run around dressed like that
He also had a flying saucer in Joker's Flying Saucer episode it was hilarious the silliest flying saucer ever seen on television.
The back seats look like cut surfboards in the Jokermobile.
The car is a variation of Elvis' Mongrel T.
Quick to the jokemobile
That would be great as a LEGO set along with the BatBoat and Penguin submarine from the 1966 tv show and movie
Why lego and not straight up action figures that would be so much cooler
oh yeah yeah exactly
I remember seeing every single episode of "BATMAN" when I was much younger and boy did I enjoy watching it very much.
Now that I am an adult I can see it whenever I am confined to staying at home during this quarentine.

Punchline sure looked different back then! :)
Nobody could do the Joker's laughter very well other than Cesar Romero himself.
Please think positive daily. ©®

To the Joker Mobile, to the Bat Mobile...to the Aunt Harriet Mobile
In the episodes "The Joker's Provokers" and "The Catwoman Goeth," Alfred had an "Alf-cycle," complete with two-way Alf-radio to keep in contact with Batman.
By all the saints of wicked mirth!!!!
why on earth is the joke-mobile still not a thing?!
Nice , throwback to my golden years!
When TV Was Alot Of Fun and Kids Were Allowed To Still Be Kids
Best Joker, ever...""👋👋👋👋👋
That JokeMobile should be made into a LEGO set
All hail Cesar
In this episode and many others, you can see a watch on Romero's left wrist. Adam West said it was a gift from the president of Mexico and he rarely took it off even while filming the show. He cherished it as much as his trademark mustache. Like Hogan's Heroes Larry Hovis' wedding ring, all are part of them.
The Joker actually thought there was a sign over the Batcave that says "BATCAVE"
She never called Mr J. "Puddin'"
I watched this every day and can’t remember ever seeing this episode.
Maybe, a Mandela effect.
Mandela effect?
Its Ironic that the Joker can't take a joke
I like Joker's pretty girlfriend. Maybe I should walk around I greasepaint and act frenetically.
Best show ever!
❤1966 batman, fights, pretty woman guest, catwoman, Julie Newmar, batmobile, guest stars etc etc
I like jokers car
I would love to see that JokerMobile built into a LEGO Batman set
I'd like to just have a scale model of the thing as it is.
Bad guys get all the hot chicks...
It is written in their contracts. After all. On top of getting the best costumes and better theme music or boss fight music. Seriously, name one hero that has a sick cool costume that I'd better than all the villains. I'll wait.
1:50 Worth laughing over.
It was kind of an angry laugh
that air clear is cool
The Batmobile engine has the same sound effect as the Space Pod from season 3 of Lost in Space.
Ceaser lived a long life.
I do like the parallels between his laugh and Dark Knight Joker
Spit spudder spit bang boom. Saw one episode where the penguin and goons rode in the trunk right into the batcave, only to find out they didn't know the location.
The great old days 😊
now Alfred is going to have to fix the paper machie Batcave minature false entrance laugh criminals laugh diversion.
0:53 - That's the Riddler's theme music...NOT the Joker's music 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah it was. I noticed that too
0:16 *To the Jokermobile!*
They found it eventually, they just followed the van with "batmobile parachute pickup service van" on the side
Wow fun was really a part of the process and the ridiculousness
Adam West‘s voice though, does it get more soothing?
Mike Matai is fantastic
I always thought the Joke mobile was a AMC Pacer! LOL
Suicide doors on the Jokermobile very cool and on-brand
have a feeling the Jokermobile is from George Barris's collection
The car is the George Barris built Mongrel T. Elvis drove this thing in one of his movies.
❤️Caesar as the Joker
That damn GPS...
Either the Jokemobile was put into mothballs after the Batman TV-Series ended in 1968, or it had been dismantled.
The jokemobile is cool.
I see the Munsters Coach in that Jokemobile.
1:12 that is one heck of a blow off valve!
2:31 wow I thought the joker would have been smarter than that 😄
I would kill for a replica of that car
Joker had a sweet 🔥 hot rod
The whose next is killing me with laughter,..
Don't you as a reader know already that every and each is on a sealed list..
..
But you as stubborn as mainstream humans are you are still going to want to examine and try to test it for knowledge
I can only come to that conclusion
Must be awkward at the DMV from time to time when Bats, The Joker, and others have to renew their Drivers Lic or Registration at the same time
Joker got a damn gps in 1967
I feel jack watched this alot
Modern Joker dont have a jokemobile
Talk about Under steering on the Batmobile 😂
There were many women who probably inspired Harlequin. Ms. Miller is probably an inspiration for her. Well, at least one of them. Kind of like Alicia in the 1989 movie.
I wonder of the Jokermobile had that famous Ford drivetrain, the PUSH-O-MATIC????
A strange episode of wacky races
I'd love to see Muttley laughing at the Joker
How would the woman who was working for the Joker at the time he was trying to find the Batcave that the first woman who found it while working for the Riddler fell to her death in the Batmobile's nuclear power source after she became scared when her gun became useless to prevent her from shooting the caped crusader?
Molly was hoping to shoot Batman. however., Batman caught on to her as being fake , and used his Bat laser to destroy the guns firing pin.Molly acted out in fear and started climbing the Reactor ladder. If you listen the reactors intake kicks in because Molly was blocking it by being in the way. So, before Batman could save her, she got vacuumed in. And Robin lost a spare costume. That was Riddler's lady helper how ever. Molly was played by Jill St.John. That was the pilot episode titled. "Hey diddle riddle". 1966.
EL GUASON SE LA RIFO EN LOS AÑOS 60s ( CDMX )
The Joker always had the hottest female cohorts, one of which was Kathy Kersch, Burt Ward's (Robin) wife in real life.
@ 1.53 could swear the joker was performing a Haka .
BIFF!!! POW!!!! SMACK!!!!
Id like to make haha with Ms. Miller.
Holly clown prince of crime it,s the Joker
MeTV had No Business of Pulling The Batman 1966 TV Series Off it's Saturday Night Schedule of 10:00 P.M. and Replacing it for Battlestar Galactica ... Penguin (Burgess Merdith) : Faw !...
