But yeah, for context, Sheena is from Isabela province. That’s about 10-12 hours away by land from Manila. That’s why it was so hard for her to arrive in time to reach her mother’s wake and funeral. Also, at that time, government regulations did not allow for wakes to be held for more than a day or two.

You will really have a Culture shock if you are a KPOP fan. 'cuz in PPOP particularly in BINI they are not that restricted (except for Love ban). Like they are allowed to speak for themselves, show whatever they think is right and never afraid to show who they really are (they even clap back to thier bashers). They are so authentic.

Dunno if anyone mentioned this about the news of Sheena's mom, The person telling her the news is one of the heads of talent management I believe, since it was in the midst of the Pandemic face to face contact was strictly prohibited so communication was mostly online. BINI and the staff of the Training academy were basically isolated in the training house. But yeah, Sheena's story is sad but she's a fighter and BINI wouldn't be the same without her :)

I always cry everytime I watc this interview, Sheena’s mom passed away when BINI is still in training in Manila. They lived in one roof. Sheena is from Isabela so she needed to go back home but unfortunately she didn’t get the chance to bid her farewell to her mom.
A little back story about why Sheena calls Gwen "bebe". After Sheena's Mom passed away, Gwen started calling her "bebe" to make her feel she's always there for her and she is not alone. Gwen knew that's how Sheena's Mom used to call her because she met Sheena's Mom after PBB which is a reality show that both of them were in before they trained for Bini. Since then, "bebe" has been their call sign for each other.
Sheena’s story always makes me cry. She is very strong. All of them are so strong and hard working they deserve all the love. Also just to add you are not use to hearing them talk about having boyfriends and crush but here in PH it is normal we don’t stress over our artists being in a relationship that much of course there are toxic fans but most of the time we are cool with it. Vee, Sheena received the news about her mother passing away was not from an interview but rather a video call. Sheena lives from a province called Isabela which very far from the Bini house and it happened during covid 19 pandemic where going out needs a lot of requirements plus many days of isolations as preventive measures, thus, Sheena was not able to arrive on time.
My grandma passed away the same period and we can only pay our respect thru Zoom. Movement is very limited and if I remember correctly, deceased must be buried or cremated in less than a week, due to fear of COVID.

Whenever there are family gatherings, titas (aunts) would casually ask their nephews or niece if they already have a boyfriend/girlfriend, when are they getting married, why have they gotten fat, etc. In short, BINI is exposed in an environment where sensitivity is not the norm.

Whenever there are family gatherings, titas (aunts) would casually ask their nephews or niece if they already have a boyfriend/girlfriend, when are they getting married, why have they gotten fat, etc.
In short, BINI is exposed in an environment where sensitivity is not the norm.
Sheena was at training when she received the news about her mom's passing. It was during pandemic time and there was a strict implementation of quarantine/lockdown so it was told to her through call. :((
