Hi Terry, impressed with the spuds mate good crop considering they were left and abused 😅😅,I don't know if its me but I seem to be struggling this year ,some if my elephant garlic has rot and some is OK, my onions from sets are a disgrace lol,so will be sowing from seed next year ,o the joys of gardening 😂
Great harvest there & love the loo brush idea 😊… I’d love to grow spuds in tubs like those, my yields are never that high. Think I’ve got the start of blight too so unsure what I should do.
@vanessawilkinson9855 plenty of home made compost in to start with, water from the bottom if you can. Remove as many contaminated foliage as possible, but remember don't touch any good leave as you will have spours on your hands. Once the Blight reaches the stem pull them out and leave the potting the containers for 2 weeks so the spours die, if you harvest straight away there is a chance the spours will get on your potatoes and rot them.
@angelagamache6625 I did take some leaves in the previous weeks, didn't plant these as a cut and come again which you can get a few harvests before removing.

The best things about growing your own? Is everything last so much longer once it's picked? It doesn't go bad like it does from the grocery store.
