Why does the North Saskatchewan River change colours?

Edmontonians saw the waters of the North Saskatchewan River turn surprisingly clear this summer. The hot weather served up the perfect combination of factors to give the river a new level of clarity - and to give all of us a new level of appreciation for its beauty.

The color of the river is that glacier color before edmonton to get a real view just go past edmonton river tubing , with the kids and you will see the real color of the water , we have a real problem , after edmonton don't drink the water.
