The pianist never let it show if it was difficult. The viola had a lovely tone, so did the double bass in all dynamic levels, and all the strings. There was a real sense of enjoyment. Lifts the spirit.
In my eyes and ears, this live performance along with the Busch Trio's studio recording of this piece has got to be the definitive interpretation of this staple in chamber music literature. Bravo a thousand times over!

Nach so einer meisterlichen Aufführung, in der die verschiedenen Instrumente sich so perfekt balanziert haben, bleibt einem der Atem weg. I am now almost 70, but have listened to this quintet since my mother introduced it to me in my childhood. This is an exceptional performance and the quintet must be complemented on their performance in which the different instruments have balanced each other so superbly. Ich bedanke mich für so eine wunderbare Aufführung! Das tut dem Herz gut!

Sto rivivendo... Avevo 11-12 anni frequentavo il Conservatorio a Bolzano... Pianoforte... Che felicità se riuscivo ad avere un biglietto per un concerto!!! Un fratello mi accompagnava al bus, e mi aspettava al ritorno.... Era tardi, buio ma, tanto felice.!!! Ora avrei paura...!!
