This set was first released in October of 2023 and was purchased off Amazon for $26.99.

Agree with all of that - I didn’t see this being the first set for 2024 either, but am a fan of farm stuff so I was happy to see it either way. I bet it will be pretty popular as well bc farm toys appeal to a wide array of people -which is good as the more they sell, the more they will release and invest in the line!
Love this farming set. I think that new small set in the pictures might be a news station, judging by the satellite on top.
A news station would be a cool addition - but a bit odd as we haven’t got a post office or some other things you’d think there would be before a news station…but I’ll take it!
I'm excited about this one more than all the others so far because I too used to love Ertl. I had a farm set and some vehicles when I was a kid. Can't wait to surprise my son with this and add it to our city.
Heck yeah! I love that the next generation will have those good toy memories like we had because of sets like this.

I heard on entertainment earth that there is the Matchbox Action Drivers Police Traffic Center Playset, there is no pictures, but there is like a pre-order on one of these selling for $11.00, it is coming in January 2024
I posted a photo of that set from the back of this set - it’s the one that EE has posted without pics - so hopefully that means it’ll hit stores soon!

Hi 64: Regading that unknown playset that we have been discussing. Had another thought-perhaps others have had it before me- but, in any case. I think it is a taxi stand. The size it and the images are similar to the bus station, and the fact that past Mattel playsets also had a taxi stand playset combined pushed me toward that assumption. Guess time will tell.
A taxi stand would be cool - that’s one I hadn’t heard suggested yet either. Hopefully we’ll find out soon!

Thanks for the review, as always. I must say I can't wholeheartedly agree that these sets keep getting better and better. Not after getting that oversized extra-toy-looking big truck which isn't Matchbox Action Drivers to me in any way shape or form, or extra-wild sets like the volcano set, or the mutli-colored, somewhat redundant Super Construction set. But I do like the extra detail and think they are getting better there, as you point out in your review. This set seemed to come out of nowhere and I was thrilled to see it. Very curious to see what that mysterious smaller block set is. I couldn't make it out, either.
This is bad, but I don’t really consider the truck playsets proper Action Drivers sets, even though they are branded as such. The branding kind of seems like an afterthought ha.
The more fantasy looking sets aren’t as cool, but quality wise and play factor, they are pretty good still. I wish they were more realistic, but I get it. I’m really excited to see what they come up with next though - hopefully less trucks, more city sets!
@@64Wheels As an adult, I agree with both your perspectives, however, as a parent, I have to just tell my honest observation: out of the 8 Action Drivers sets we have, the volcano gets the most attention from my son (he's 5.) I refused to buy him the transforming truck so he did odd jobs and earned enough to buy it himself and has gotten TONS of playtime out of it, especially since it is portable which, by nature of it being a city, the Action Drivers line primarily isn't. However, had it not been branded as Action Drivers he would not have bought the truck nor would we have bought the volcano because he doesn't like things labeled 'Hot Wheels.' So I'm not sure if Mattel should make a third line of toy but it might be hard to convince Matchbox die-hards like my son to convert.
It's a cool set and it's nice to have a farm in the Matchbox world.😊

Great review on a super cool set! As soon as i saw the thumbnail with your logo i clicked on it right away. Always enjoy your content. It is a very detailed set. Somebody at mattel is a fickler for making things look and work just right! The only thing is how is your horse making noise without a head??😂😂🤣🤣. Hopefully they'll send you a replacement.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it - the set is really great, but the headless horse is a bit funny 😂 First time I’ve really had a quality issue with any of the Action Drivers stuff, but at least it’s just a cosmetic issue and the set is still enjoyable ha

The set is defnitley a smaller police station, The markings on that sign looks exactly the same as the police station we have now

Thanks once again for the UA-cam video. I look forward to putting this one together and adding it to our "city." Meanwhile, regarding the mystery "blue" building. I took a closer look at the images you provided. I believe you mentioned that it could be a post office. Nothing wrong with that guess. IT could be. There appears to be a "man" reviewing a white three-panel information kiosk, a car driving out from the ground level, and a large decal behind the large glass window on the second floor (similar to the decal used for the bus stop playset). So, since we have a bus station and this is a "city theme," my first GUESS,,, is that it is either a subway station or a train station. This also would indicate that an "official license" playset is still possible to come out in 2024. Since I'm guessing- let me stick my neck out some more and pitch the idea that it will be SPACE x THEME. But the timing might be too soon for that, perhaps later in the year. so, if there will be one for the holidays, we still have to wait on Santa.

A few other people have mentioned that it could be a small news station, and I could see that as well due to the “official” look of the building and the radar/speaker on top of it. Even if it’s not a post office, I hope we get one this next year!
And I am also with you in that I’m betting a SpaceX or space themed set will be coming this year. With the special SpaceX dragon capsule releases in the mainline and special edition, as well as the NASA Charger and delivery truck, it would make sense to have a playset to go along with those. Let’s cross our fingers! 🤞🤞🤞

It could be! I know other people have said it could be a news station as well, but it’s hard to tell. Really I’d take a bank and a news station ha!
My personal opinion is they could've added more playing pieces unto this farm. I mean a farm is not just about a barn. Literally. What about a Silo or Farmers house. Even a small dam/lake for irrigation. Etc.
I agree silo or a bigger pasture or tillable field would have been nice. When most people think of a farm, I think they picture a barn/animals/tractors, so I think they designed the set based on those most top-level farm accoutrements. I have lived in/around farm communities my whole life, and not every farm has a silo and not all farms have livestock…but Matchbox did give us little hints of each type of farming in this set which is cool.
It would be awesome to see them build another farm set with even more playable action parts that would expand on this smaller set!
Yes, why do you think the future matchbox action driver sets will be? Yes at the common.
I’m really hoping, and almost expecting at this point, some type of NASA/SpaceX set, especially with all the new rockets and Skybusters they are releasing. Other than that it’s hard to tell but I’d also expect a bank, post office, and maybe a car dealership at some point.

Hello @Wheels64 just noticed that there is also a collection by Hotwheels called “city” , do you know if the elements are connectable? I think the ice cream shop by hot wheels would look great in my matchbox action drivers city!
They are connectable with these Matchbox sets! They even advertise on these boxes that HWs sets can connect to them which is pretty cool!
If you have a 3D printer you could make road pieces that lead to your farm out side of the city
I do have a 3D printer but designing those would take a lot of engineering! I might try it one day ha

So far these Matchbox Action Drivers sets have been mediocre. This farm set is nothing compared to the Walmart Adventure Force set from just a few years ago that everyone here seems to have been sleeping on and missed. Walmart Adventure Force Farm was probably 2x the price at $29.97, but far superior including 3 highly detailed diecast tractors, trailers, tractor attachments, crops, buildings, dogs, numerous farm animals, and even a Farmer's market! The Matchbox Action Drivers Farm Set is really lame compared to the cheapo Walmart, but epic Adventure Force Farm.
The Adventure Force Farm set was great, especially for $30. But the big factor between the two is that this set connects to almost 20 other sets and is part of a larger Action Drivers town. I know that doesn’t mean a lot to everyone or as a single set, but it being part of the Action Drivers line gives it connect-ability other brands sets don’t have. I wish Wal Mart would release that Farm set bc the current one they have is more kidish and less realistic.
4:30 not fine . Looks awful . Would have paid an extra 50 cents to get a proper matchbox matching trailer .
This would have never been done back in the day . Stop making excuses for billion dollars multinational corporations . It's embarrassing .
And if they had any shame or scruples Mattel would be embarrassed as well .
Especially when they're more profitable , and have less competition then ever .
And plastic is back because of the plastic free packaging fiasco ala hasbro , marvel legends ,star wars ect .
After the switch , sales took a nosedive.
It was never about the environment, that was a lie . It was simply a way to put another point on the quarterly profit sheet on the back of the customer .
If plastic was cheaper they'd be like , hey look , new 100 percent plastic packaging , that's 100 percent recyclable , save the trees ! (Remember that ? What happened to that?)
And after all that , they still sell us a plasic trailer .
